Subject: Assistance Needed with Unemployment Claim To the TWC Leadership, My name is Christopher James Wilkins, a resident of Fort Worth, Texas. I lost my job due to covid-19 layoffs on March 27th and promptly filed for unemployment on April 5th after finally gaining access to the website. Unfortunately, my claim has been pending for almost two months. In March [redacted], I was laid off from a new job for which I had not recertified due to being denied a claim in October [redacted]. I have since submitted my recertification request, recent check stub before the layoff, and made numerous calls to address the issue without success. Facing eviction with a one-year-old child, I urgently seek assistance in certifying and receiving my claim. I appreciate your prompt attention to this matter. Kind regards, Chris Wilkins Cell: [redacted] Email: [redacted]

I missed the deadline to request my first payment and need help to reactivate my benefits and restore online payment requests. I am still unemployed and haven't worked since my claim was approved. Any guidance on unlocking my account online or through email would be appreciated. If voice verification is required, setting up a scheduled call back could be a solution. I'm unsure why speaking with a person is necessary in this situation.

I submitted a claim in March due to being furloughed during the government shutdowns. On April 13th, I received a notification that I was eligible for benefits but encountered issues when trying to make a payment request. Despite numerous attempts, I couldn't complete the process. Now, the system indicates it has been too long since my last payment request and I am required to restart my benefits application. I encountered a roadblock on the second page while trying to move forward. The notification suggested contacting TWC by phone for better assistance. I have been trying to reach them by phone for almost two weeks now with no success.

I have an old TWC insurance claim from [redacted] that was not removed, and I didn't realize I needed to end this claim. I never received any money from it, as I found a job shortly after the claim was filed and have been working since July 3, [redacted], until March 22, [redacted] when I was laid off due to the pandemic. I have been trying to contact the tele-serv number without success due to the high volume of calls. It has been about a month now, and I still need the old claim removed as I am currently unemployed. My name is Anthony, and you can reach me at [redacted]. I would appreciate it if the new claim could be restarted as of March 22, [redacted]. Thank you for your assistance.

1. I was recently released from a company on May 1, [redacted], and now there seems to be confusion about my payment. Despite having a written offer detailing my salary of 50k, the payroll department claims I was paid in cash without any taxes deducted. I worked for 16 hours at Trivest. 2. I accepted a job offer at Relik Reality with a starting date of 5/14, only to be let go after 2 days without explanation. My offer also stated a salary of 50k. 3. Prior to my recent jobs, I faced challenges at an apartment property I worked at from January 16, [redacted], till March 20. Upper management expectations were unrealistic with [redacted] vacant units to be filled. I have documents verifying my salary offer of 65,[redacted]. 4. I am currently on-call with MDR Staffing since March 21, [redacted], but no job placements have been made yet. I also tried to apply for benefits but faced issues due to past job changes. I am hoping to resolve these matters as I have been continuously working since August [redacted] to support my family.

I applied for unemployment benefits in July/August [redacted], but my claim was denied due to missing a day of work for a job interview. This led to being found ineligible and owing $[redacted] for overpayment as per my profile. A letter from December [redacted] mentioned an overpayment of $[redacted], which I never received as the appeal was ongoing. Checking today, it now shows I owe $[redacted], and I am confused. Once approved for benefits, they might deduct this amount, but I'm adamant about not paying for money I never received.

The Texas Workforce Commission has been unable to process my claim for over a month. After being laid off from Schlumberger in Midland, TX on 4/15/20, I applied for unemployment benefits. However, they have not been able to resolve some questions on my application. Despite my continuous efforts to reach out, I have not been successful. I have applied to over a hundred jobs without luck due to the tough job market. I am in urgent need of these benefits as my bills continue to pile up and I have no source of income. I provided all required documentation for my work at Schlumberger in [redacted], where I made over $70,[redacted], but they claim I did not earn enough that year to qualify for benefits. It is crucial for me to resolve this issue promptly before facing serious financial consequences.

I had difficulties accessing the Texas Workforce Commission website in April. After two and a half weeks, I managed to log in and discovered an unemployment claim filed with an outdated address without providing any information. I missed the notification on May 12 to provide additional details, only noticing it on the 18th. Despite calling the helpline numerous times daily, I couldn't reach anyone at [redacted]. I plan to submit an appeal by the 27th but unsure about the required information. Since I can't speak to anyone, I might go to the Appeal Tribunal in person on Monday with a detailed appeal to seek clarification. Have others faced a similar issue? -Stacie

I am seeking assistance with my unemployment claim. I had previously emailed about this matter a week ago and have not received a response. Due to the impact of Covid-19, I have been unemployed since April 9, [redacted]. However, when attempting to file my new claim on my TWC account, I discovered it showed a claim date of August [redacted] instead of April [redacted]. As a result, it indicates that I have exhausted my available funds. I believe I am also eligible for the $[redacted]/week CARES Act extension. I kindly request help in correcting the claim date and reinstating my benefit payments. Thank you, Edward R. [redacted] Email: [redacted]

Claim filed on March 29th under reference number xx-xxx-[redacted]. I received a denial notification on April 22nd. My employer, HT Consulting, claims I was terminated for violating company rules, yet Austin Energy, the client I was contracted to, cites unexpected budget cuts as the reason for contract termination. Despite Austin Energy offering a good recommendation and asking me to train my replacement, HT Consulting has not communicated any violations or reasons for termination to me since my contract started in April [redacted]. Attempts to contact HT Consulting and the company president have been unsuccessful, leaving me with no information about my termination or future employment. I disagree with the reasons provided by HT Consulting and am appealing the decision. I am in desperate need of assistance as I have lost my apartment and will soon be living in my car. Patricia D. Currently, my unemployment payments are being received every other Wednesday, however, they often arrive later in the day causing issues with the management of the extended stay motel I am residing in. Despite my online account showing the payment has been processed, my bank has not received it according to their records. I am seeking clarification on any delays due to the recent holiday on Monday and confirmation that the payment has been sent or will be sent soon. Additionally, I am hopeful that in the future, the payments can be deposited earlier on Wednesdays to avoid any further inconveniences.

I need assistance regarding a hiring issue with Lowe's. I was never actually hired by them and do not work there or receive income. There seems to be a mistake where they assumed I attended an orientation, which I did not. I even informed them before any job offer was made. Due to transportation issues, I could not proceed with the opportunity. I have contacted Lowe's and given them the necessary information. They advised me to have TWC call two numbers with a specific code I provided. Despite being asked to call [redacted] promptly, I have been unable to reach them. I am requesting someone to contact me and verify that I am not employed or receiving any benefits from Lowe's since May 02/20. I can be reached at [redacted] or via email at [redacted]

A month ago, I received an email from the TWC informing me that I was eligible for extended unemployment benefits due to the Pandemic provisions. Despite not receiving further instructions via mail, I referred to previous email communications detailing benefit information and application procedures. However, my attempt to apply online revealed a missed request, prompting me to contact the Tele-center for resolution. Unfortunately, my repeated calls have been met with automated messages due to high call volume, leaving me struggling to catch up financially. I am stuck in a frustrating cycle with no solution in sight. I am hopeful there may be alternative options to explore. Sincerely, Edward S.

A month ago, I received an email from TWC about extended unemployment benefits due to the Pandemic provisions by congress. The email mentioned a letter would follow with instructions, but I never received one. After attempting to apply online and encountering an error, I was instructed to call the Tele-center for assistance. Despite multiple attempts over weeks, I only reach a busy signal or automated messages. The situation is frustrating, and I urgently need the financial support. I am stuck in a cycle of trying to resolve this matter, but it seems impossible. I could not find any helpful information on the website. I hope there is a solution to this issue. - Edward S. I submitted this yesterday, and when I input my phone number, an error message appears in red requesting a valid Canadian or American phone number. However, the number I provided is my legitimate cell phone number. Can someone explain the issue?

In March, my boss allowed me to take two weeks off due to the COVID-19 virus. After that, they extended it for an additional two weeks as the virus was still a concern. I work in sanitation and currently cannot return to work because I have two young children and no one to help care for them. I have been trying to claim unemployment since April but have encountered difficulties. When I originally filed in April, I made errors in the process, and now the system shows I am not eligible for benefits even though I am. I have been struggling to reach the unemployment helpline at the 1-[redacted] number, waiting on hold for up to three hours only to be disconnected. I am seeking guidance on what steps to take next. If you can assist me, please contact me at +[redacted]4. Thank you for your time and support.

Hello, I have been self-employed for the past 8 years and submitted a claim around April 15. The claim indicated that I had no income or work information, resulting in a benefit amount of $[redacted].00 per week. I did not request payment as I found a short-term job to sustain myself. Now that I am unemployed again, I need to reapply for unemployment benefits. Despite attempting to refile, I am unable to do so through the system. The message I received states that I do not meet TWC's criteria to submit another application online. The suggested options are to try submitting a Payment Request, explore other Quick Links, or contact a TWC Tele-Center. I would appreciate any assistance with this matter.

Hello, I applied for unemployment on February 11 and encountered issues with my payment requests due to mentioning severance income. After addressing this, I later discovered my request was rejected for not providing requested documents, which I was unaware of. I filed for an appeal on May 28 with number [redacted]-1 and was informed my status changed to eligible, awaiting further contact from TWC. However, it’s been 10 days without updates. I’ve tried contacting various numbers, including 1-[redacted], with no success. I am facing financial difficulties and urgently need assistance. Thank you, Syed Naqi Hussain

After submitting my initial appeal, I was informed that I did not meet the income requirements within the specified timeframe. Despite this clear error, I was advised to resubmit on 5/9/20 with a promise that the funds would be deposited into my account within 48 hours. I recognize the challenges caused by the overwhelming volume of requests due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, but it seems like my case has been overlooked. My situation has become urgent as I cannot go another month without any income; I risk losing my home, vehicles, and all my possessions if I don't receive assistance soon. After following the instructions provided during the previous contact two weeks ago, I was left with no contact person or number to follow up with. I earnestly appeal to my Government for aid during this critical time to prevent me from becoming a negative statistic. Sincerely, Berrien Scott Wheeler [redacted] [redacted]

I need assistance with filing for U.I. benefits. My Social Security Number is linked to an old user name that I can't recall. I've attempted to update it online without success. While advised to call [redacted] for help, I was informed that they are unable to assist due to high call volumes. How can I reach a live person to resolve this? Perhaps someone could relay this suggestion to Gov. Abbott: It would be incredibly beneficial to have the TWC offices operational during this economic crisis for many individuals at present.
