When I selected my state tax, the system did not transfer all of my federal information over to my state, resulting in a reduced refund amount. It only transferred the earned income credit for one person and not the second. I need to amend my return due to this discrepancy. I believe I shouldn't have to pay a fee for this amendment since it was a system error. While the issue is visible on the PDF summary, it did not appear after submission. Trying to amend through TaxSlayer currently seems problematic as the calculation is incorrect. It shows I received $[redacted], though actually, I only received a little over $[redacted], approximately $[redacted]. Thank you for your assistance in resolving this issue. - Ms. P.

I am sorry to hear about the challenge you are experiencing in resolving your issue. On May 11, I purchased your program, but unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations. Additionally, I had to delay the opening of my business. I spoke with the seller, Dante Herrera, regarding a refund, and was informed it would be processed within two weeks. However, after sending a follow-up letter, there has been no progress. It has been over a month since the request for a refund was made, and I have not received any updates. I am contemplating seeking legal assistance due to the prolonged delay in resolving this matter. Since May 17, I have been attempting to address this issue, causing me significant mental distress, especially considering I had only used the program for a few days.

I am experiencing difficulties in creating a new account as I am unable to proceed due to an existing account associated with my social security number. The previous account was registered under [redacted] with the name Evelyn Valentin; however, I no longer have access to this email. I am looking to establish a new account using [redacted] to ensure I can file my taxes effectively, enabling me to receive notifications regarding the filing process via email. In the past, I have utilized the long-form method to report business expenses. I was using your website to file taxes, something I do annually. While helping my boyfriend with his taxes this year on Tax Slayer, we encountered an issue with the AGI. Desperate for a solution, I came across a service called 1-[redacted] Tax Pro. Unfortunately, they requested personal information and photos of my boyfriend to verify his identity, which they didn't mention would cost anything. They then proceeded to e-file the tax return without informing us of the $[redacted] charge, which is more than the refund amount. My boyfriend received a letter from the IRS asking for identity verification. Is there a way to halt the tax filing process? Your guidance on this matter would be truly appreciated.

I have been utilizing the Taxes section on the TaxSlayer Pro Practice Lab website extensively. However, upon logging in yesterday, I noticed that all the tax exercises listed under "Client Search" have disappeared, leaving the table empty. Could you kindly assist in restoring this data promptly? Additionally, I would like to inquire about the frequency of data retention on the Practice Lab. As an AARP TaxAid volunteer helping senior citizens with their taxes, the lost exercises represent weeks of valuable work. I have been facing repeated rejections of my federal tax return, with the possible reason being a discrepancy in the Qualifying Person listed for the Child & Dependent Care Credit according to your assessment. To resolve this issue, I need to navigate to the Federal Section, then go to Deductions, Enter Myself, Credits, and finally, Child Care Credit (Form [redacted]). Within this credit, Part 3 - Qualifying Person(s) needs to be checked for the accuracy of Name and SSN. Upon confirmation that the details are indeed correct, I should reach out to the Social Security Administration to verify the accuracy of the information they hold for the said person. On my end, everything seems to be accurate, as the only individuals I have listed are my two children for whom I pay child support. I am uncertain if they qualify as eligible persons. How should I proceed in this situation?

I used TaxSlayer to prepare my taxes, paid the fee upfront, but had to mail my return as I couldn't e-file. My refund was processed on March 4th and sent for direct deposit. Unfortunately, the refund went to Santa Barbara Tax Products Group, a TaxSlayer refund Transfer Company. Santa Barbara shouldn't have auto-populated their account and routing number on my return since I have no fees to deduct. Now, I'm not sure where my refund is. The IRS mentioned TaxSlayer should locate it, not me. If they can't, I need to fill out a Tax Preparer Misconduct Form with the IRS.

I have used Taxslayer to file my taxes for years. However, I am currently unable to access my old account to file my [redacted] and [redacted] Federal taxes. My email address has changed from [redacted] to [redacted] When I try to contact customer support, I am asked for a 6-digit number that I do not have. I am seeking assistance to access my [redacted] Federal return so I can proceed with filing my [redacted] and [redacted] taxes. I need help replacing my TaxSlayer Prepaid Green Dot card. Also, I am seeking information on where my stimulus check was deposited. My first stimulus was taken for child support. This time, it was supposed to go to the bank I used in [redacted], which was linked to my TaxSlayer Prepaid account. The IRS informed me that $[redacted] was deposited into an account ending in [redacted], but I don't recognize that account. During the first stimulus, child support could intercept it, but this time they were supposed to allow it to go through. However, I believe my funds might have been sent to TaxSlayer first, which deducts fees before transferring the remainder to a bank or a TaxSlayer card. Since I owe child support, adding the stimulus to my return could mean it goes straight to them. This situation leaves me struggling as the money would have been crucial for me and my child. If the deposit went to my TaxSlayer card, I would just need assistance obtaining a new card.

I am encountering an issue while trying to efile my tax return on TaxSlayer. After completing the federal, state, and products and services sections, I am unable to proceed due to additional information that supposedly needs to be signed before filing. Despite filling in all the required details and attempting to submit, it keeps looping back to the last page, prompting me to fill out more information. I have double-checked everything and confirmed that no questions were left unanswered. I even contacted their phone support, which unfortunately couldn't assist me and advised me to send an email instead. I am nearly finished with the process and am puzzled as to why I am facing this loop preventing me from filing my return. I simply can't figure out why it won't let me move forward despite having completed all necessary sections.

I'm having trouble accessing my tax returns via email. In the past, I've been able to print them without any issues, but the current system seems to be malfunctioning, preventing me from printing any numbers or amounts. The codes I needed were not coming through email either. An employee mentioned sending them manually, which worked. Could you please manually mail me both my state and Federal returns? Thank you for your help!

I submitted my taxes for the first time using Taxslayer over six weeks ago, but the IRS has not confirmed receiving it yet. Strangely, Taxslayer claims the IRS accepted my filing the day after I submitted it. I file electronically yearly and never faced this issue before. Additionally, I struggled for twenty minutes on Taxslayer's website looking for their contact information, without any success. I had to search the internet to find a way to reach them, but they were closed when I called. The IRS warns that my filing is overdue based on the submission date, and I need to resolve this before the deadline. I regret my experience with Taxslayer and will strongly advise others to avoid using their services in the future.

I submitted my [redacted] taxes on March 31, [redacted], and the amount was withdrawn from my account. However, I was unaware that they couldn't be filed electronically. I've tried multiple times to download them to print and send by mail without success. This is my third attempt with no resolution. I believe my money was taken without providing the service I expected. I think it's unfair that I cannot even print the forms. I should have been informed before the payment was taken if the e-filing was not an option. It feels like my money was taken without delivering the promised service.

I am trying to get my 2nd and 3rd stimulus checks as they were supposed to be mailed to me due to a tax filing error. However, a message informed me the information did not match for mailing and suggested using direct deposit. Despite entering the correct [redacted] form, the system keeps indicating it is wrong. We filed for [redacted] only because it was required for missing the 2nd stimulus check. We need guidance on the gross amount and what we received to update for direct deposit. I was unexpectedly charged $[redacted].99 for the online tax return preparation service that was supposed to be free. I did not authorize this fee. Additionally, my $[redacted] refund was mistakenly deposited into an account at Civista Bank, instead of my intended checking account at Banco Popular (account [redacted]07). I am seeking a full refund of $[redacted] and would like my refund to be correctly deposited into my Banco Popular checking account.

I was charged $[redacted].99 by TaxSlayer for tax return preparation when I was informed it would be free. The amount was deducted from my $[redacted] tax refund deposited into Civista Bank instead of my listed Banco Popular account.
