Yesterday, on April 8, [redacted], I scheduled the assembly of an IKEA bed with storage. I made it clear that it was an IKEA bed with storage when I submitted my request. Upon Emmanuel E.'s arrival, I presented him with pictures of the product, and he confirmed his ability to complete the task. Throughout the day, while he worked on assembling the bed, he made multiple comments about the TV show I was watching in the next room. He spent over 7 hours at my apartment, with a 30-minute lunch break, and only managed to put together the basic bed frame, not the storage drawers or headboard shelves. He mentioned needing to return the next day to continue. He expressed his frustration with the IKEA instructions and suggested I buy from WalMart next time for clearer instructions (I was referred to TaskRabbit by IKEA). I declined his offer to return. I am now facing a charge of $[redacted].60 for incomplete work, which I promptly disputed with TaskRabbit. TaskRabbit responded with an apology and offered a $50 credit to my TaskRabbit account, which I find unsatisfactory since I do not plan to use the service again. I have escalated the issue and will involve my credit card company if necessary.

Today was my first experience using Taskrabbit. Christopher, who scheduled my appointment, was both fast and professional. Although he arrived on time for the job, I have noticed two deep scratches on my hardwood floor near the banister, as well as scratches and indentations near the entrance of my home. The recliner that was moved from my living room to the basement is now not working properly; it no longer reclines. I have tested the outlet and tried different areas, but the recliner remains unusable. I am unsure what happened during the move, as it was functional before. I did raise the issue of scratches with Christopher before he left, but unfortunately did not check the recliner at that time. I am wondering how to investigate what happened and if there is a way to fix the scratches on my hardwood floors.

My Ikea furniture assembly service for 8:00 a.m. today got cancelled abruptly. I reached out to customer support and they mentioned contacting me soon. The assembly was then rescheduled for 10:00 a.m., but the Tasker informed me they wouldn't arrive until 1:30 p.m., resulting in a 5.5-hour delay. The agreed-upon schedule was not adhered to, and the Tasker cancelled at the last moment, making it an unreliable experience.

Despite paying £53.00, the task assigned to the worker was not completed due to their inefficiency and lack of proper tools. Feeling awkward, I ended up paying out of compassion for the time spent, even though the job was left unfinished. This experience was not what I expected from TaskRabbit. I had to hire someone else to complete the job today, which cost me even more. It is clear that tools are necessary for certain tasks, and I believe TaskRabbit should enforce this requirement to avoid such situations in the future. I had a disappointing experience with a Task Rabbit service I booked. The Task Rabbit I hired for a furniture assembly arrived late and took much longer than expected due to unnecessary delays and difficulties following instructions. Despite providing all the necessary tools and organizing the pieces, the Task Rabbit repeatedly asked for help finding items that were clearly labeled and accused me of tampering with sealed bags. The task that was supposed to take 70 minutes extended to 4 hours, resulting in a poorly completed job with misaligned doors and wood damage. I regret using this service and would like to be reimbursed for this distressing experience. The Task Rabbit's lack of competence despite having good reviews and claiming experience was concerning, and their delay and disruptive behavior made me feel uneasy in my own home. I expected a quick and accurate job for the price paid, but the service fell short of my expectations.

Hello, I first encountered an issue in early September when I hired a Tasker to help with some tasks. Unfortunately, the Tasker was unable to complete most of the job due to missing nails. He did hang a shelf for me, and promised to build some frames for me later. He took the wood and stain supplies with him on September 18th. Since then, he has been in touch explaining delays first due to being busy, then due to contracting COVID-19. Despite my understanding, communication has dwindled. I last messaged him on October 20th, inquiring about the progress and potential need to hire someone else for the remaining tasks. Sadly, I have not received a response, while noticing he has completed other jobs. This prolonged wait has been frustrating, especially since I anticipated the tasks to be finished promptly and now find myself lacking the necessary supplies.

I urge TaskRabbit to improve the selection process for taskers and ensure clear communication to prevent such issues, especially in zip code [redacted]. Hello, my name is James. I recently applied for TaskRabbit without realizing the minimum age requirement was 18. After chatting with a representative, I was informed about this policy. Despite already paying a $25 fee, I inquired about a refund due to my age. The representative assured me a refund within 12 days. However, it has been more than 12 days, and I am still waiting. I received a notification indicating Daniel G was set to visit my home on 12/20 at 12:00 to assemble a dresser. However, I had initially booked this service for 12/16 at 11:00. Daniel did not show up on the agreed date and did not provide any notice of his absence. After contacting TaskRabbit, the representative could not explain Daniel's absence and offered to reschedule, to which I declined as I had taken a day off work for this. Subsequently, I received another notification regarding Daniel's visit on the 20th without any prior communication. I firmly requested TaskRabbit not to send anyone to my home or charge my credit card. Following this, Daniel G responded in an unprofessional manner. I am appalled by this behavior and demand that Daniel G does not have access to my information or contact me again. This level of customer service is unacceptable, and I seek assurance that such incidents will not occur in the future.

Following the furniture assembly service on December 20th at 8:00 am by one of your Task technicians, I discovered my personal property missing the next day. No one else has entered my home besides the technician and myself so I am certain it happened during the assembly. The missing item is of great importance to me and costs $[redacted] to replace. Despite numerous calls, I have yet to reach a customer service representative. I am expecting swift reimbursement for my missing property. Furthermore, the technician drilled a hole in the top of the assembled armoire, which I was initially willing to overlook. However, the disappearance of my $[redacted] Louis Vuitton wallet, including my driver's license and 4 debit cards, is unacceptable.

I've attempted to contact your customer service number multiple times, but the calls are disconnected after a few rings. The issue at hand is regarding a cancelled move with a prior mover. Following their cancellation, I received an email stating I needed to select a new mover, yet when I proceeded to book another service, I encountered difficulties. Specifically, it was not possible for me to utilize the $15 discount as a first-time user, which I had successfully applied to my initial booking. I had a great experience with John T. on Thursday, 12/17/20. I am concerned about a recurring charge on my credit card statement from "Tasker on Task Rabbit" for $[redacted].75. I was a bit late to meet Melva, but thankfully it wasn't an issue. Punctuality is important to me, so being late is not ideal. We assembled a prime cable frame with a top from IKEA, known for being easy according to reviews. To avoid dealing with it, I booked Task Rabbit. Melva finished the task in just under an hour, which was within the time I booked. However, there was an issue with the desk being raised only on one side due to a mistake made during assembly. I had to show her a DIY video on YouTube to point out the error. Although I appreciate her acknowledging the mistake, she stayed an extra 30 minutes to correct it. I recently hired a journeyman carpenter at $70 an hour to patch some holes in my ceiling. We had a set time, and I sent him pictures for materials. He texted wanting to stop by first, then went to buy supplies. After realizing he got the wrong ones, he went back. He worked for about an hour, then said it needed to dry. I offered to reschedule, but he took an hour-long break in his car. He came back saying it wasn't dry but would only charge me for three hours. I have evidence from my doorbell camera that he spent just one hour working. His mistakes led to delays. I am a long-time Task Rabbit user but may not continue due to this experience with Emmanuel. I am seeking a refund for incomplete work.

I am disappointed with the service provided by my Task Rabbit. I bought two floating shelves from Target to hang above my desk. I managed to put up the first shelf but needed help with the second. The Task Rabbit I hired took longer than me to assemble the shelf, hung it crookedly, and unnecessarily brought a suitcase full of screws when I had provided the necessary items. The final bill of $93.22 is unacceptable, especially considering the poor job done. I can't afford this and will likely have to fix the shelf myself. This being my first experience with Task Rabbit, I am extremely unhappy. I am requesting a refund and would like guidance on how to proceed with this issue.

I hired Austin to assist me in picking up furniture and moving it to my storage unit. I requested for him to come in the afternoon due to my lupus, which causes me more pain if I wake up late. Despite explaining my condition to him, Austin insisted on a 10:00 start time. He arrived very late, and after loading some items, he mentioned a Lego business opportunity, leaving for over 2 hours without returning. I tried contacting him throughout the day, but he only kept saying he would be back soon. By the time he returned at 5:45, I was suffering from lupus pain. With the help of my Airbnb host, Austin unloaded my belongings and left. I had to pay for an extra night at the Airbnb, dealing with stress-induced hives and lupus flare-up. Austin also mentioned billing me for the van and his time, which I find unreasonable given the circumstances. Overall, this has been the worst experience I've had with a service provider.

My Tasker did not show up after two hours, so I rescheduled with another Tasker for this coming Friday. I want to ensure that I was not charged for the first Tasker who did not show up. He did not inform me that he was running late, although he responded to my text when I inquired. The Task Rabbit website, although a good idea, is confusing and difficult to navigate. I had heard warnings from other users but decided to try it anyway. The website seems to complicate issues if there are problems, making it hard to make changes and leading to long customer service wait times.
