Hello, I recently walked into Target in Linden, NJ and was greeted by a young gentleman known as Kenny. I thought it was strange as I’d never seen a greeter at this target but I was also going during a different time of day than usual. *Anyway I completed my shopping with a full pleasant experience and as I’m waiting to put my things on the belt I hear what had to have been Kenny yelling at another employee for making a mistake. The mistake was that she shut down multiple self checkout registers and didn’t check with him first, I know this because he yelled and repeated himself several times at her.**Now, as a customer I was offended because there was certainly disrespect in his tone. I then look to see who exactly he’s yelling at and it’s an older African American coworker of his. After yelling at her he then goes to the register I was at and began to “check in” with the worker who was at this register, a younger African American Male. I’m not going to accuse him of not checking on anyone else, or any other form of discrimination but I didn’t hear him ask anyone else, and the store was very quiet, few people were working. **After I rung up my belongings I went to speak with Kenny stating calmly that I didn’t appreciate his tone. He told me he had to be hard but didn’t quite understand that it looked horrible from where I stood. **As I was leaving I then proceeded to tell the staff at customer service, who were just having the same conversation with another customer about his interaction with the female worker. Both (African America) women then proceeded to tell me how he has belittled them similarly in the past while at work. **I say all this to say, something should be investigated or decided about this worker. I only mention race because Kenny is a white man, in today’s social climate it’s easy to point racist fingers but if it walks and acts like a duck, it might be one. Either way he has an issue interacting with staff that he supervises. I wanted to bring this to*Your attention because this situation could have gotten worse and gone viral and cause a lot more attention to the issue, who knows how many other times this has happened and no one spoke up. I like target, and trust that you all will follow the proper protocol.
