I went to Target in Cypress Cal today to pick up a Christmas dress for my granddaughter. I decided to pay cash for it, which I never do but I thought this would be the quicker way. I purchased the dress by giving the check out girl a *** dollar bill. She was very nice and helpful, but her cash box did not have that amount of change that I needed. She called for help and another girl came and went and got the cash that was needed. They gave me my cash and I headed out the door to my car. When I got to the car to put my money away, I notice that I did not get a receipt, so I returned to the store and talked to the cashier that helped me and she said she would take care of it and called someone named Alex to help. This is where it got upsetting. He told me that he could not print me another receipt, And I told him that I needed a receipt to make sure that if my grand daughter did not like the dress, I wanted to make sure that I had a receipt to show the actual price I paid. I asked him that anything that showed that I had just purchase the dress who be fine. I know how Target is when you return item without receipts. The cashier again told him that she had just checked me out and nothing illegal had happened. He almost made it start sounding like I maybe did not really just buy the dress and maybe the cashier had something to do with it. From here it got worse. He asked to have a seat in the Starbuck area and he would see if he could bring it up on the main register in the locked room. Buy now people were starting to look at me as though I had stolen the dress. The cashier was very upset that it was taking so long to resolve the situation. After almost ** minutes of waiting, he informed us that he saw no such transaction. This really upset me, because I took offense that he was insinuating that may I had stolen it and the cashier was in on it. Everyone in the store was now kinda of watching. I felt very uncomfortable and could not believe that I was being treated this way. The cashier kept telling me how sorry she was, and I felt bad for her. I knew I had bought it, the cashier knew I had bought it,and so did the other girl who had to go and get the cash for the cashier. I was so embarrassed that I don't even want to go back to that Target. Finally after ** minutes, and after Alex said he still could not find the transaction another young man came out with a copy of my receipt proving that I had indeed purchased the dress. The cashiers name was Judy, her employee number is ********. I just don't want her to get into any trouble over this. She was very helpful and also very upset that it had to take so long. I know that sometimes receipts get misplaced, but for the store to make such a big deal and embarrass me the way they did is not right. Even a lot of the other employees could not believe what was going on about getting a copy of a receipt. Again I hope that Judy does not get into any trouble over this. She is the one employee that every time my family goes there, we know that we can count on her to know where everything is and get great help. But again, for everything else that went on, it was the most embarrassing thing I have ever went through in a store!!!! A very upset customer! The receipt transaction was *-****-****-****-****-*
