I recently returned an item that was purchased with a split payment. The guest service associate handed me my receipt, cash, and a merchandise card. I placed them in my wallet and purse and shopped around the store for about an hour. When I tried to use the merchandise card, the cashier said there was no balance, leading to confusion. The situation was escalated to the store manager and the asset protection team for review. Despite feeling embarrassed by the public discussion, the resolution was unsatisfactory. The messy condition of the guest service counter was acknowledged, but I felt unfairly treated and left without a solution. I value Target as a customer with loyalty cards and apps but the poor handling of this incident has left me reconsidering future purchases at the Lodi, CA store.

I created a baby registry several months ago, mainly choosing Target because of their offer of a welcome box. As a first-time mom, this was really exciting for me. I have visited two different Target stores in my area multiple times, and each time they have been out of the welcome baskets. My due date is in December, and my baby shower is scheduled for October. I would be disappointed to miss out on this offer that I was expecting to receive when I started my registry. I have visited both the Plymouth Meeting Target in the Metroplex and the Chalfont location near my workplace, and it's frustrating that they are always out of stock whenever I visit. I'm unsure about how often these boxes are restocked in stores. It's disheartening to repeatedly be told they are unavailable after eagerly going to the store expecting to receive one. Despite my love for Target, this situation has left me questioning my registry choice.

I felt targeted, accused, and harassed at Inver Grove Target. My girlfriend and I were followed by Jeremy from asset protection, making us uncomfortable. Despite not taking anything, we were given no explanation for the scrutiny. This experience was the worst I've had at Target. Dropping off my kids for school shopping should have been enjoyable, but it turned distressing. Jeremy and Marueen were unhelpful and unsympathetic, even when my girlfriend was in tears. We were using Cartwheel for discounts and had no intention of stealing. I have video evidence of the incident, which will be shared on social media. The lack of response from the manager, Meagan, was disappointing. I am eager for a prompt reply and willing to share any videos for your review. - Dan

I have tried emailing Target twice about this issue, but unfortunately, I have not received any response. Back on August 6th, I took advantage of a promotion where I purchased Madden 19 and Doritos, receiving a $15 gift card. Additionally, I purchased 1 Swiffer and 1 Swiffer pads which were also on promotion, and I received a $5 gift card. However, even though these gift cards were supposed to be free as part of the promotion, I was still charged for them. Since the Madden 19 game was a pre-order, I initially assumed that the $15 and $5 charged for the gift cards would be deducted from the price of the game upon purchase. Yet, after a few days, Target informed me via email that they could not fulfill my pre-order for Madden. Consequently, I cancelled the pre-order, but I have not received any refund for the $15 and $5 gift cards charged.

Yesterday, while at Target in Wylie, Texas, I encountered a distressing experience when I overheard employees making disparaging comments about my clothing choices in the changing room. Despite feeling humiliated, I wanted to bring this to your attention so that this type of behavior does not happen to others. The incident has deeply affected me, as I have always enjoyed shopping at Target for your fashionable clothes. The insensitive remarks made me leave the store in tears, an emotional ordeal I had never faced before. I hope that steps can be taken to prevent such incidents in the future. Thank you for your attention to this matter. - M.J.

I visited your Hilo Hawaii store on 9/3/18 to buy an Instant Pot Duo 80 on sale for $89.95. The store was out of stock, so I requested a rain check at customer service but was informed the computer wouldn't allow it. Even after speaking with a manager, I was still unable to get a rain check. I argued that this wasn't a limited item and it was only the second day of the sale. The associate mentioned selling [redacted] units on the first day, but I pointed out there was no disclaimer about limited quantities in the ad. They then provided me with a number for customer relations. When I contacted customer relations, they offered me a $25 gift certificate to use when the product was back in stock. I felt this was unfair considering the $50 discount during the sale. My suggestion is to empower managers to override the system in such cases to allow rain checks to be issued. It seems illogical not to provide rain checks in situations like this.

I was terminated a few days ago due to shoplifting, and I recognize my mistake, even though some instances were accidental. I regret my actions and apologize sincerely. While I acknowledge others may have engaged in inappropriate behavior, I take full accountability for my actions and am deeply sorry. Target has been a rewarding job for me, especially considering my struggles with social anxiety and depression. I cherished my time there and never intended to jeopardize my position. I understand if rehiring me may be unlikely, but I am willing to make amends or seek employment at a different location. I assure you that I have learned from this experience and it will not be repeated.

I received the 4 dining chairs on 9/7, but unfortunately, the screws are not fitting properly on one chair during assembly. I would appreciate a free replacement for the faulty chair. I have put together 3 chairs successfully, but the fourth one has issues. If a replacement isn't possible without charge, I would prefer a full refund without having to go through the return process as I don't have the time for that. I hope to get a replacement as soon as possible for the damaged chair. If you need photos as evidence, please let me know. I didn't intend to start a return process, so please cancel that on my account. The chairs are generally good, but I do need a replacement for the one with the problem. Thank you.

I received a $10 Target gift card with my dry dog food purchase a few months back. Unfortunately, I didn't keep the receipt, assuming it was activated like previous cards I received. Today, when I tried to use it, the cashier couldn't get it to work despite scanning it multiple times. After calling the corporate number listed on the rejection slip, a representative informed me that the card was never activated. They advised me to return to the store to resolve this issue. $10 might not seem like much, but it's still significant. Any guidance on what steps I should take next would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I encountered an issue when trying to buy a car seat online. I wanted to apply the 20% off car seat coupon along with my 15% off baby registry coupon, but the system wouldn't let me use both at the same time. The registry app doesn't mention that you can't combine this coupon with other total transaction coupons, whereas the car seat coupon doesn't specifically exclude target registry completion coupons. After reaching out to target help chat and speaking with Walter, he explained that target.com does indeed restrict the use of registry completion coupons with any other total transaction coupons, despite this not being clearly stated on the registry app. I find this unfair because the restrictions aren't consistent between the two coupons, and I believe I should be able to redeem both coupons simultaneously based on the information provided.

Dear Target Corporation, I wanted to express my gratitude for the opportunity to discuss the cart attendant position with your company recently. The interview process was enjoyable and I appreciated the chance to meet everyone involved and answer questions about the role. The interactions with you and your team further solidified my interest in the cart attendant position. I am eagerly anticipating your final decision. Please don't hesitate to contact me at [redacted]. If a call is not possible, I appreciate the verbal offer to join the Target Corporation. Thank you for your time and consideration. Sincerely, Najee Stansberry

Hello, During my recent visit to your Alameda, CA store, I was concerned by the number of dogs present, particularly in the grocery section. While I understand that service dogs are permitted in accordance with ADA regulations, the dogs in the produce area did not appear to be service animals due to their size and breed. Witnessing one dog urinate in the grocery area was particularly troubling, especially when the mess was not promptly cleaned despite my report to a staff member. I believe it would be beneficial to have clear signage at the store entrance prohibiting non-service animals inside, especially in areas involved in food preparation like the Starbucks, Target Cafe, and grocery section. Reference to California animal law [redacted].5 supports the need for such regulations. I am hopeful for a response from the store management regarding these concerns. Thank you, James S.

I wanted to share that my family and I have not visited Target for 2 1/2 years. We were regular shoppers and spent around $[redacted] a month or more. The issue arose when Target allowed transgender individuals to use the bathrooms of their choice. I have no problem with the transgender community; it's about the safety and comfort of my family. I suggest having separate men's and women's bathrooms, in addition to a unisex bathroom for transgender individuals. This way, all customers, including me, would feel respected and valued. I used to be a loyal customer, but I can't continue shopping at Target until this change is made. I hope you consider my feedback for the benefit of everyone involved. Thank you for listening.

I recently placed an order with Target for a generator and spent over $[redacted] in preparation for the hurricane. I also ordered 2 five-gallon gas containers to ensure we had fuel for the generator. Despite paying for overnight delivery to receive the gas containers in time, I was shocked to find that the package delivered contained two tablet cases instead. I contacted customer service in distress as the hurricane is approaching quickly, only to be informed that they couldn't get the correct items to me any sooner. While the representative tried to assist by contacting local stores, they were unsuccessful. I was refunded and offered a $15 gift card, which I find unacceptable given the situation and the amount I have spent at Target. I rely on the generator for my newborn's safety during power outages, and not being able to obtain the gas puts my family at risk. I am incredibly disappointed in this error and the lack of urgency in correcting it, and I will be sharing my experience on social media. Target has lost a loyal customer by mishandling a crucial order during such a critical time.

During my recent visits to the Target Store at Trinity Parkway in Stockton, CA, I have been shocked by the deteriorating condition of the store. Today, on 9/15/18 at 6:30 PM, the floors were dirty, merchandise was haphazardly displayed on racks, and numerous overloaded carts blocked the aisles by the Halloween section. The state of the store was so disappointing that I had to leave and reluctantly shop at Walmart across the street, which was clean and well-organized. As a shareholder of Target, I am deeply concerned about this decline in standards. I hope that the store's condition can be improved soon so I can return to enjoying my shopping experience at Target.

Last summer, my daughter and I both purchased Gilligan & O'Malley bralettes. We were so pleased with them that we bought two more each. Living in Israel, when my sister visited in August, she brought seven more of the same product in size XL that I had ordered online. Unfortunately, these new ones, despite being the same size, turned out to be too big and unsuitable, essentially wasting about $[redacted]. Despite attempts to shrink them in the dryer, they still don't fit. I am hoping to return them when I visit the States in November. It's a strange situation, possibly because the manufacturer altered the sizing. The XL bralettes from last year remain a good fit. Thank you for any assistance.

Good afternoon, I have a Target RedCard issued in [redacted] expiring on 9/23. After contacting customer service, I learned that my card was deactivated due to inactivity despite the expiration date. With two new Target stores in my neighborhood on the lower east side of Manhattan, NY, it's more convenient for me to shop there. Customer service stated they couldn't reactivate my card and suggested I reapply at the store. However, I closely monitor my credit report and value my excellent rating, not wanting a hard inquiry from Target. Therefore, if my current account can't be reopened, I will stop shopping at Target and discourage others from doing so.

I wanted to buy a Fisher Price sleeper in the natural girl color, but it was out of stock for 2 weeks. Being 32 weeks pregnant, I opted for the green color on Thursday, September 13th. Surprisingly, on Sunday, September 16th, I received an email saying the original color was available. When I called Target, Lewis explained the item was still out of stock. After calling again an hour later, the situation remained unchanged. It's frustrating to receive a misleading email that raised my hopes for an unavailable item. I hope to understand why the email was sent inaccurately and find a suitable resolution for this inconvenience caused by the confusing back and forth calls.

Dear Target, I want to express my admiration for your stores and products. I recently had some experiences at your Red Wing, MN and Northfield, MN locations. At Northfield, I found a lovely pink robe on clearance. I tried to use a Cartwheel coupon for an extra 20% off as indicated on the rack, but it didn't work. The staff member explained it couldn't be applied to pajamas, despite the sign suggesting otherwise, so I bought it to not hold up the line. Visiting Red Wing for Twins apparel, my app showed they had it in stock, contrary to the reality of football and hockey gear only. Despite asking, no Twins items were available. As a college student, every penny counts, and missing out on the discount was disappointing. I enjoy shopping at Target but was let down during these visits. Sincerely, A Devoted Shopper
