Make a purchase and was unable to do so. ... So I tried to place an order last night online and spent an hour trying to get my REDcard to work. You have all of my banking and personal information on your site and it is current and correct. I finally gave up and used a different payment method, of course losing my *% discount. I sent a message through your message center to see what was wrong. I received a message today that said my REDcard had been closed in January **** due to inactivity. I was very surprised to see this as I was never notified then, nor was I notified during multiple attempts last night when trying to use it to make my purchase. Hence all of the extra time spent trying to get it to work. Also, seeing all of my current banking and personal information on your website, I would never have guessed my REDcard had been closed as this information would have been deleted as a safety precaution and of course it was not. I called today to try and re-instate my card figuring it wouldn't be a problem since you have all of my personal and banking information on readily available on your website. I was told I could not do this over the phone and had to go apply for a brand new account. Well, that's not going to happen ever again for me. Too many headaches associated with REDcard and no corporate responsibility as far as this being a secure card to have. I'm very upset over this whole mess. I am NOT able to delete my information as I was told I could so it is still on your website. It says I can close my own access but that does no good. I'm amazed that you all do not get rid of this info. when you shut someone's card down. If you allowed someone to re-open their card then maybe so, but since you don't this seems really bad that this info. is just left out there. Just unbelievable this whole thing. Since I apparently don't have access to it, someone needs to delete my personal and banking info. from your site and database and I need to be notified that this has been done.**One very unhappy former customer,*Jennifer Iron Wing***** N Perry Ave*Wichita, KS ********* *** ****
You spend too much time trying to get your card to work and unknowingly it has been cancelled due to inactivity. Target does not email you to let you know. They keep all of your info. available online including banking info. for anyone to steal. Why not cancel and delete this info. You can't use it or edit it anyway and you have to completely reapply for a card. They cannot reactivate it over the phone.
Fix it and make it safe online so your info. can't be stolen. Then give me a $** gift card for all of the time I've spent messing with this ****. They don't care about their customers - it is very evident. They have so many to them one person does not matter. If they were to ask, I would say almost ***% of the people who had their REDcard cancelled w*o being notified would not be happy that all of their banking info. is still just sitting there for anyone to access. If Target wants to cancel your REDcard fine, but they need to delete your info. off of their site.
Spent too much money with them over the years.
Called, emailed, worked online. Target does not care.
