Poor experience in Marshalltown, IA Taco Bell tonight for the following reasons:**) Arrived just after sunset. Although some light from setting sun (not much), the drive-through customers could not see the menu because the outside lights had not been turned on yet.***). The print on your menu is so small, I cannot easily read it from my car. Part of the problem is that you are trying to squish too many items on the menus. Plus, your menu is dominated in both space and font size by KFC which shares your restaurant here. Is it trying to drive Taco Bell out?***) From time I arrived in the line, until I pulled away from drive-up window, about ** minutes passed. Had about *-* cars ahead of me. Each car took FOREVER to get their food. Service was incredibly slow.**). Although I had been asked if I wanted sauce for my food (I said YES), I had none when I got home. This has happened more times than I can count.**). Some of the chips in my nachos were old and tough.**Your restaurant has had a poor reputation for service and quality of food since it arrived here in Marshalltown several years ago. Everyone I ask prefers Taco John’s over Taco Bell. I have been going to Taco Bell since **** and have always preferred it. However, you have eliminated several menu items I used to like. After tonight, I have no reason to return to Taco Bell.**So what do I want? I would like you to:***). Review menu selections. Eliminate the tons of Taco selections. Eliminate what you can to make your menu smaller and with more differentiation between menu items.***) Increase font size, and space available, for drive-through menu items. Keep it fair between KFC and Taco Bell.***). Train managers better, and*or get them additional help, so they can get the outside lights on when it becomes dark. Also, do whatever is necessary to speed up supper-time traffic through the drive-through.***). Ensure employees are trained to not only ask if the customer wants sauce packets, but to also actually get it in the bag.***). Work on the quality of your food.***). Compete much better with Taco John’s—and KFC!**I miss the old Taco Bell of the ****’s, ****’s, ****’s, and ****’s.
