I walked in to Taco Bell last Thursday night at *:**PM after a terrible day at work. I asked Victoria if I could get both hard and soft shell tacos in your Taco Party Pack. She said Yes. I proceeded to order * soft and * hard shell tacos. After putting the order in the computer, she told me that there would be an extra charge for the soft shell tacos. Being tired from the day, I said OK. As I was waiting for my $**.** order to be prepared, I studied the overhead menu board to pass the time. Under Party Packs is listed:*Taco Party Pack*Any Combination*of ** Tacos*Crunchy Tacos *** Cal. each*Soft Tacos *** Cal each*I called the cashier Victoria back to the counter and asked her why I was getting charged an additional $*.** for my soft shell tacos when it says that I can get "Any Combination" on the menu board? She said that the extra charge was a corporate charge? What? I explained that she was charging me an extra charge that shouldn't have, according to the menu board. She said there was nothing she could do about it. Frustrated, I asked to speak with a manager. Kevin eventually came to the counter to hear me out and he too said it was a corporate charge and that there's nothing that HE could do about it? I just stood there and shook my head and said to both Kevin and Victoria, "Guys.....this is wrong" I continued to wait for my food and studied the menu further. A Soft shell taco is listed for $*.** and a hard shell is $*.**, ** cents difference. Where did they get $*.** for * soft shell upgrades, ** cents difference each? Two problems: *) Blatant false advertising* charging for something that is supposed to be included in the price to begin with, and *) No one did a single thing to appease me, other than coming up with some bogus corporate excuse? I took my phone out of my pocket and took multiple pictures of your menu board. I also have my receipt in hand. I would send attachments with this email but there isn't that option. I have been going to Taco Bell since I was a kid. Being ** years old, I'm hesitant to walk through your doors again. I'll let you decide on how you would like to resolve this situation. My receipt has the following info on it:*Taco Bell ******** S Weber Rd*Romeoville, IL ******Date ********** Time *:**:**PM*Order ********Cashier Victoria*Total $**.****I can't always answer my phone but if you'd like to discuss the matter in greater detail, I more than welcome your call at ***-***-**** **Thanks for hearing me out.
