Today I went to the Sudbury TJ Maxx store. I have many choices where to shop living in Metrowest - and I do enjoy shopping at this store but after this experience I don’t know if I will ever go back *Among the things I was purchasing was a jar of olives that did not have a price on it. It was the only one on the shelf and I grabbed another olive jar that was slightly larger and brought it with me and my other purchases to the register. I did that because I know a lot of times an associate will go back to see if there something else similar and use that as a price point to purchase the unmarked item. When I got to the register I immediately showed that to the associate as my first item hoping that we would get a quick response on it. He took both the unmarked item and the other item to the front and supervisor… Who is the person I have my issues with in this story. She looked at it looked over at me and apparently told him to go back and see if he could find something else like it or perhaps verify that there was no other Item like mine on the shelf. I know they normally they’ll call another Associate to do that… So that the one at the register can continue and be more efficient In processing the customers. Understandably they may have been shorthanded. This was on Sunday at around *** in the afternoon and there was a small but steady stream of customers at the checkout. The associate returned Telling me he could not find anything else that was close in size other than what I had brought up. He went back to this front and supervisor Who looked over at me and then apparently was not happy with the selection and went off to find something else again closer in size or what she thought might be the appropriate price point. I don’t know because the associate continue to ring me in. I had a large order of items and it took a while to process it… Just as we got to the end, we could see that she had returned and was slowly… And I make this point… slowly going through the process of making a ticket. She took so long that I finally told the associate to forget the item and to continue and Finish up the order. I looked over to see that she had stopped and was talking to another associate and doing some other work. She did not know that I had decided to pass on this item.There was another item I was purchasing separate from my first purchases… So that took another minute to process. I thought perhaps she might walk over with the item finally ticketed and maybe I would buy it. But no she was still standing at the counter. I turn to leave and walking past her called out to say how I had wanted to purchase that item but that she had taken too long. She turned to me and in a very snarky tone said “well we’re really busy. “*First of all there’s so many things wrong with this that I can’t even begin to list them but In quick bullet points ** I was standing at that registered from the time I first got up there for at least five minutes.** as I mentioned the store was busy but it was a slow steady stream ** She had the item , was in the middle of making a new ticket and then stopped to work with another associate. That’s unacceptable ** and finally her attitude towards me is completely unacceptable * She’s a middle-age woman with blonde hair and glasses… And obviously either the front and manager, or perhaps the store manager at worst because right now I will not step foot in that store again. There’s no way for you to know this but I’m a big customer of TJ Maxx and Marshalls and HomeGoods… If this is the way I am to be treated… As I said I have a lot of shopping choices in the MetroWest area and this door will absolutely not be one of them. At best I’d like an apology from her… At least I’d like you to acknowledge this email and tell me that someone will least address it with her. **Sincerely* Nikki Davidson
