I was trying to find out exactly why I had to wait over ** minutes at a cash register and also get attitude from a coordinator. ... Hello,*I was shopping at the tj maxx store in Irvine and the district. I literally shop at this store about * times a week. I’m a frequent and usually happy customer except on Tuesday night when I was there and was treated extremely poorly from an coordinator named Juan A. We had multiple things at the register to purchase. One item scanned as men’s athletic wear and it was really a pair of women’s jeans. The cashier began to ask his manager to verify the price. Once Juan came up he didn’t even introduce himself and grabbed all * of our items and went to another counter to verify the prices. We sat there for ** minutes before I asked the cashier what he was doing. I asked to call him over and he came by and I said what are you doing sir ? He said I’m verifying all your items now . I asked why and he said cause I think they are wrong and he just turned and walked away. **I then looked at the cashier and he even shrugged his shoulders in disbelief how rude and unprofessional he was about everything. We then kept waiting for another ** minutes for him to verify all the items being purchased like he was insinuating that we switched all the price tags. Then Juan came back and said these two items were tagged wrong and the price is much more. He said do you want it or not . I then said well how is it my fault that your employees wrongly tag the clothing items and I have to pay more cause of that. I wanted to buy those items cause of the price. He didn’t honor any of the prices and said listen I did my job and I don’t have to go above and beyond that. No smile on his face and no professionalism whatsoever. He should not be a manager in a retail environment when dealing with people. We were very professional about it and asked to speak with a manager and then spoke to her and told her the situation. She then said that she would talk to him and that was it . We just spent *** dollars again in the store and we’re treated like absolute garbage from juan A. The coordinator that has no people skills. He singled only us out and never explained anything about what the process is or what he was actually doing .
Because I asked what was going on and the cashier didn’t even know until I had to pretty much call the coordinator over and say what is the issue and why aren’t you telling me what’s going on and just leaving us there waiting .
To make sure managers and employees go through the proper training on how to interact with customers and resolve the situation professionally without having attitude.
Because I shop there a few times a week and I know how to treat people since I deal with customers daily and no how to interact with humans without being rude. It’s one thing if I was rude to him but I wasn’t in any way.
Spoke to the manager at the store and she just acknowledged what I was saying and said thank you for the feedback
