Help with my T-Mobile issue
The issue in GetHuman3843103's own words
Hi. I'm getting major conflicting info from T-Mobile sales folks regarding the Test Drive hotspot device, once the trial period is over. One person in phone sales is telling me that that device, even with a new paid data sim card will not work, and I must buy a new hotspot from you. However, the guys in the local company store say that all I would need is a new sim card, and to pick the data amount I wish to buy each month. Also, telephone sales pro on the phone says that the test drive device has to be returned to T-Mobile, which directly contradicts everything I was told originally, and is in the instructions, and is on the website, and the guys in the store confirmed...you DO NOT have to return it* it's useless without a new working Sim card, naturally, but what I want to do is use the test drive device, with a new paid data card, and life goes on. Yet, by phone, just now, the "Pro" who I talked with seems clueless about the mechanics of the offer. What's the real scoop on all of this? Thanks.

How GetHuman3843103 fixed the problem
I told T-Mobile to take a hike, and went to Verizon. T-Mobile, on-line and via their call centers outside of the United States, is beyond maddening when it comes to trying to get honest*accurate answers. The sales folks at the call centers are beyond ignorant about current promotions, and sure seem to have no hesitation to fake an answer. Even trying to get to a live-body customer service rep by phone call (to the national number) is ****-near impossible to begin with. T-Mobile’s in-store folks know way more than the call-center alleged “Pros,” and are very helpful in my immediate area. So, in summation, I got tired of being lied to by T-Mobile, and went elsewhere.
