Help with my Synchrony Bank issue

I received * emails today from synchrony bank. One saying "a deposit has been successfully made", another saying "A Trial Deposit Has Been Successfully Made to Your AMAZON CREDITBUILDER", and another saying "Action required on your application". I fear someone has fraudulently opened a credit card using my information. I called this number TWICE * (***) ***-**** and both times it said my call could not be transferred at this time. And I called this number ***-***-**** and it said my call cannot be completed at this time. My credit card information was recently stolen and I fear this is further identity theft. I really need to speak to a customer service representative ASAP.

GetHuman-leahshuc did not yet indicate what Synchrony Bank should do to make this right.

They sent out an email today saying that the email was sent in error, not to worry about it, that no one's information has been compromised...what a relief!
