Good morning, I purchased the American Doughnut Workshop for my daughter and me for Christmas (Order Number: SF**********). We attended the workshop on Sunday, December **th at **:** A.M in Westlake, Ohio. Unfortunately, it was not a good experience. To begin, when you pay a significant amount of money to attend a cooking "school", the minimum expectation is to be provided instruction with the hopes of learning something. Throughout the entire class Chef Angel neglected to provide any guidance or instruction. He didn't even share basic information, such as what type of dough we used (yeast or cake) to make the donuts. When we asked our first clarifying question, "What should we be doing now?" He proceeded to roll out our dough, cut off the edges, cut the dough into * segments and place it on the jelly roll, which then left us nothing to do. From that point on we were hesitant to approach him for fear he would perform all the tasks for us. We looked to other groups for guidance instead. During the "break" which we didn't even know occurred because he never announced it, he mixed up some frostings and fillings. Again, this did not allow us to perform the tasks. At the least, he should have shared what he did to make them, but he didn't even tell the group what they were for and we ended up stuffing our donuts with the wrong filling and frosting. I have taken several cooking classes and I have never experienced such inadequate instruction. If you are interested in additional disappointing details of the class, please don't hesitate to contact me by phone at ***-***-****. In the least, I would like my daughter and I to have the opportunity to attend another workshop of our choice at no expense. This is our preference* however, if this is not an option, I am requesting to be reimbursed the cost of the class and the gas to travel (from Wooster - ** mile round trip).
