Get on a different flight ... Understanding that sometimes there needs to be flexibility in policies under certain circumstances. I am currently a single mother in MN who is trying to get to Lake Havasu City, AZ. My son and I are moving from MN to AZ with Family to escape my abusive ex, my sons father. As soon as I could I sent my son ahead of me for his safety and so I could gather our belongings and finalize other items. I booked a flight to Las Vegas (Closest hub to Havaus) for *****. I currently do not have a working vehicle and have been solely relying on friends and family in MN for nearly everything. When I arrived Yesterday, *****, I was EARLY. I then learned I had amount wrong on checked baggage and could only afford one bag. Well, since I got dropped off, I didn't have a ride anywhere. To make matters worse my phone and computer wouldn't charge. Thankfully the gentleman who helped me got me booked for next flight in the afternoon. Again, relying on others for transportation, I was picked up late for my flight at *:**pm and when I arrived, I was told it was to late and that there wasn't anything anyone could do. behind the counter was telling the younger woman, who was trying to find a resolution for me as I was visably upset and crying, that there was gonna be no resolve that she could go ahead and try and call but they were gonna let me re book because they already re book me for that afternoon. The sweet young woman then got on the phone and called and they rebooked me for today **** at * AM. I made two *** mile round trips yesterday. Then this morning, I arrive at the airport at *:**am, this time, I when I got to the check in counter, that's ** minutes before my plane took off any preceded to tell me I had missed my flight and there's nothing they can do any further for me no I have booked my travel through cheapoair.com and I even explain to them what happened. The representative at Cheapoair.com contacted your company on my behalf, explained my situation, and your company still refuses to allow me to re book for this afternoon which now I will miss that flight, and please understand I am a single mom, out of a ** year abusive relationship, and my son is halfway across the country and now you just taken all the money I had saved to go and start a new life with my son on top of that, you charge me $** yesterday for luggage (one bag, this is how it all started) then permitted to have my father even called yesterday after I was turned away by your staff, to pay for my other luggage bag for another $**. I'm devastated, mortified, and mad. Because of things outside of my control I just lost out $*** for my ticket and another $** in baggage. Today was I unable to find a ride but I was able to find a vehicle to drive up there with a friend on $** in gas, now mind you I live in Mankato which is about an hour and a half away. In two days I have missed * flights and have been turned away. I have spent countless time in vehicles, on the phone, and yet another day stuck in MN with no options. **I've used Sun Country for years and years as has my large family, but today, even the rep at cheapoair.com didn't quote me a price from your airline due to the lack of compassion.
There were extenuating circumstances that were out of my control
I wish they would just let me go on standby I would wait at the airport all day if there was a flight open
My family and myself have been using sun country airlines for over decade and I'm appalled after the thousands of dollars my family has spent using this airline this is how I'm treated
