If your email and password are changed on the account then there is no way to recover the account. This company has a very strict policy with recovering accounts and if anything is different then you cannot recover the account. You must have the original email or phone number on the account.

Repair my steam software after the September update. After the update my friends list and chat boxes became blank black boxes. After several restarts and computer checks I thought the best thing is to go ahead and unistall*reinstall steam. ... I downloaded the large update of this recent weekend (Sept ****). When I began to play games I noticed that the chat boxes and friends list on my system were blank so I was unable to chat or view friends.*I went ahead and deleted steam and downloaded it again.*My name and password are correct, but I am unable to receive any email or phone text to verify the account. I am very worried about this as this maybe the second time this year that I have lost a significant investment in games from steam.**My last experience was my problem as I was a victim of a fishing scheme. Neverthess this was an ** year old account with steam and I had at least ** games including ones with the Vive. I bring this up because steam never responded to me and never did anything about it. Period.**This time I am hoping this will be different as I am not intending to purchase any games for the *rd time. I expect to be given some sort of support from steam. I have been a loyal customer since about **** or ****. Please contact my by email.
After using my Vive since it was released for and having many games for over a decade I lost all of that this year.

I became a steam client when L*D came out. I still play L*D* almost every day. I purchased the Vive when it came first came out and was planning to upgrade to the newest. But I guess not.
I went to their face book page and posted the issue and couldn't believe the response I got. The steam employee told me that it was my fault that I didn't understand the security rules. Then he called me a fool. I have to admit that this enraged me so, that I posted some very angry responses to that on their facebook page. I couldn't believe it.
