I'm Nicole C. and I've been a Steam user for years. I've left three messages in the last four days with no response. On 4/30, I tried to buy Ark Survival Evolved for $23.75, but my card was declined erroneously. To my surprise, on 5/4, $[redacted].99 was charged to my Visa, which I did not authorize. On 5/3, I managed to buy the game for the correct price. I need assistance to get the $[redacted].99 refunded promptly. I have tried reaching out without success. Please contact me at [redacted] or email me at [redacted] to confirm the charge removal. Thank you for your help! - Nicole

My Steam account was hacked, and I can't recover it because the hacker changed my email. My previous email was "[redacted]" before it was compromised. The breach seems to have originated from Russia with the following details: IP address: 82.[redacted].[redacted].[redacted] City: Torzhok State / County: Tverskaya oblast' Country: RU I cannot confirm if a VPN was used to access my account, but I received notifications that someone logged in from a location different from mine and altered the email. I hope this issue can be resolved promptly to prevent further unauthorized access. Kindly reach out to me soon to assist in securing my account. Thank you.

The phone number provided is never answered. Leaving a message results in uncertain callbacks. Corresponding with their staff may prove challenging, as they might not fully understand the problems. It may be best to avoid contacting them, as there seems to be a lack of competence and effectiveness. There is a hope for the company to undergo management changes that could lead to improved customer service. However, being located in Kirkland, Washington, this may not be easily achievable due to the political environment there.

I created my account (Fredrickp) many years ago with the email [redacted] while living in Salem, Oregon. My son used the account, and we purchased numerous games for him. He changed the password, and now I think his email address [redacted] is linked to the account. He has provided me with various passwords, none of which are successful. I want to regain access to my account.

My account has been hacked, and I am attempting to recover it. It appears that I require the credit card number for verification purposes, but the card was used by a friend to purchase a game for me, and they are unwilling to share the information. Are there alternative methods to verify the account without using a credit card? I still have some Steam wallet codes that I purchased a year ago. The email address of the user who hacked me is [redacted], while my actual email is [redacted] The hacker removed my phone number ending in 33 from the account, which was [redacted]3. I apologize for not being able to provide the credit card number due to my friend's refusal. The details I can offer are as follows: - Email: [redacted] - Phone number: [redacted]3 - Steam wallet codes (Screenshots provided) - Date of the hack (Information provided in "Hacker info.jpg") - PUBG receipt sent on December 26, [redacted] ("pubg receipt sent to email account.jpg") - Last activation of Steam Guard Authenticator with phone number ending in 33 I have provided all the information I can to verify my ownership of the account and hope for its recovery due to my significant progress. Thank you.

I bought "Resident Evil 3" on Dec 21, [redacted], but now I want to cancel my purchase. On the Steam website, I couldn't see any confirmation or refund options. Surprisingly, I saw the option to rebuy it, which shouldn't be possible with owned titles. It was only after the game was released that I realized it was already purchased. Despite emailing Steam about this misunderstanding and requesting a refund or store credit, I've received what appears to be automated responses just based on the purchase date. I'm unsure how to proceed as I didn't realize I still had the game. I'd settle for store credit and having the game removed from my account now.

I received a link from a friend for a free spin on a wheel, and unfortunately, it was a scam. As a result, I couldn't access my account and received three automated messages from Steam. The first stated that my mobile verification was removed, the second informed me that my associated email was changed from a Russian IP address (92.[redacted].15.[redacted]), and the third mentioned an attempted log in with the correct account credentials. I immediately changed my email password and locked my account under the username "deadzeuzvx." I am now unable to recover my account on my own, and I have valuable items stored there.

I encountered an issue while trying to log into my account using my usual username. After failing twice, I attempted to reset my password, only to find that the email associated with my account was invalid. Upon further investigation, I discovered that my email had been changed to one starting with the letter "i," which is not linked to any of my accounts. It appears that my account was hacked, leaving me unable to access it. Retrieving my account is crucial as it contains numerous games worth hundreds of dollars. Re-purchasing these games would be a significant inconvenience, especially since a friend recently gifted me a new game.

I have recently purchased NBA 2K20 for my PC, but it is not allowing me to play due to a glitch. I have tried to troubleshoot the issue for approximately 4 hours, but have been unsuccessful in resolving it. Unfortunately, I am unable to obtain a refund due to exceeding the two-hour playtime limit. I am frustrated that I spent $60 on a game that is not functional. I kindly request a refund despite the time spent troubleshooting without success.

This morning, I was using my Steam account. However, when I tried to log back in, someone else's email was listed, and they have changed my password. I have all my bank details on the account and am concerned about potential unauthorized access. The account has been locked, and I am unable to access it, which is troubling as I have important data and progress saved. I am hoping to regain access to my account. Thank you.

I placed an order for the Valve Index kit 8 weeks ago with an expected shipping timeframe of 8 weeks. This deadline was two days ago. I noticed on the FAQ page that due to covid-19, there are shipping delays. Since I made the purchase before the pandemic, I am wondering if I will still have to wait longer than expected. I have attempted to find a Steam support email, but every time I try, it directs me to a menu where I need to choose my product, which is currently "In process," preventing me from submitting a support ticket. -Thank you in advance

I fell victim to a phishing scam. I have all the necessary evidence to prove it. I have the transaction number, the email linked to the account, the Steam wallet codes used for purchases, a voice confirmation, the attacker's IP address, and the login username. I also know the player's name written in foreign characters. Please contact me via Twitter at @Ironwol[redacted]3 or the email provided if you can assist.

I've been struggling to access my old Steam account for a while now. Initially, I couldn't log in because I didn't have access to the associated email. Even though I now have access to that email, I'm still unable to log in. I have the account name, password, and access to my other Steam accounts. I've checked multiple emails for Steam Guard messages with no luck. I've contacted Steam support and even called, but I keep hitting the same dead ends. I read about providing proof of ownership through account details and purchase history. I have the credit card information used on the account and remember the account credentials. I just need to figure out the associated email. I'm getting desperate, and any help would be greatly appreciated so I can regain access to my account.

I encountered an issue while speaking with your Steam Valve employee, Bram, earlier today. My account is currently restricted from buying, trading, selling, or making any purchases on the community market. Bram advised me to create a new account and transfer my items to a friend. I followed his advice and traded the items to my friend, but upon checking, my friend does not have any of the items in their inventory. The items seem to have disappeared, and I am now left without them. I urgently need assistance transferring these items to my new account due to the hijacking incident. Thank you for your help.

I am seeking a refund for a game I purchased at launch which has become unplayable due to a recent update. Bethesda/ID introduced an intrusive Denuvo Ring 0 anti-cheat software that operates at the kernel level and as a Windows service. This poses significant security risks for PC users, and the software is causing system instability, crashes, and compatibility issues with platforms like Proton and Linux. Removing this software is complex and may require editing the Registry, risking damage to the computer. The software is also falsely advertised as only required for multiplayer, when in reality, it affects single-player campaigns as well. Many users are disappointed with Bethesda's decision to implement this software and are considering alternatives such as waiting for a DRM-free version on GOG or resorting to pirated copies. It is concerning how Bethesda's actions are pushing players towards unethical solutions, and I cannot support such invasive programs like Ring 0 anti-cheat software.

I purchased Sims 3 and played for slightly over 3 hours, but this morning when I tried to play again, it's asking me to reinstall and download the game even though I don't have enough space due to the initial installation. I requested a refund, but I was denied because I played for over 2 hours. I find it frustrating that I spent $20 on a game I had limited time to enjoy.

I am seeking a refund for in-game purchases I made on Albion Online through Steam. I feel misled by the game's offerings, and the customer service has not been helpful. Since the company is based in Germany, I cannot pursue legal action in a Small Claims Court. I wish to reach out to someone at Steam to address this matter outside their standard refund policy. I encountered two specific issues regarding my purchases: 1. I bought in-game gold intending to gift the game to my roommate, but the game doesn't allow gifting. I had to resort to PayPal to send the game separately. 2. The game lacks transparency regarding a critical feature - losing all items upon dying in PvP. This information was not disclosed on their website, leading to my dissatisfaction. I hope to initiate a movement, possibly with Steam/Valve's assistance, to combat dishonest practices in games. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I would appreciate being able to speak with a customer service representative directly. I value my Steam account greatly and am requesting the removal of the ban that has been placed on it. Despite any errors made, I am eager to resolve this issue promptly. Gaming, particularly Counter-Strike-Global-Offensive, holds significant importance for me, and the current restriction prevents me from enjoying it. Although I may not be a top player, I am dedicated to enhancing my account within my means. While I lack costly items in my inventory, I diligently gather badges in CS: GO and cards in other games. I am uncertain if there is an option available for a scan of my computer to help identify any issues.

My account, slendas2000, was recently compromised by someone potentially operating from Russia. I attempted to input my account details on a website that appeared authentic, only to find it unsuccessful. Shortly after, I was unexpectedly logged out. Upon reviewing my associated email, [redacted], I discovered a verification code originating from Russia, a location nowhere near me. I seek assistance in resolving this concerning security breach. Please reach out if further evidence of account ownership is required.

I've been unable to access my Steam account after not using it for some time. Even though I have my account name and password saved, they are not working. I've tried the lost password link, but it doesn't show any accounts linked to my email address. The Paypal link isn't helping me either. When I try to get a verification code sent to my email, the provided email address is not mine. My last Paypal purchase was on 18 Sept [redacted]. I suspect my account has been compromised. I am frustrated by the lack of notifications from Steam and the difficulty in finding help. None of the provided links have resolved my issue, and I can't find a way to contact them directly.
