Yesterday, I attempted to log in to my Steam account, but despite entering my password multiple times, it kept showing as incorrect. I then tried the "forgot password" option which led me to realize that the linked email address was not mine. I promptly reached out to Steam support to recover my account. I have submitted two reports to them, but I have yet to receive a response. I am concerned about losing access to my purchased games and hope this matter can be resolved soon.

I purchased Rust for my friend on his Steam account, but he had multiple issues with the game crashing frequently. When I tried to request a refund, I received responses stating that my friend had played over 2 hours. However, this was due to the game not closing properly and counting the time while my friend's computer was unresponsive. I feel it is unjust for my friend and me to be penalized for Steam's technical issues. I am frustrated by Steam's customer service, as the request submissions do not seem to reach a real person, and the phone number I found is out of service. I am dissatisfied with this experience and am seeking a full refund for a situation beyond our control.

I was contacted on Steam by someone claiming I had been reported accidentally. Following their instructions, I contacted an individual who asked for various details, requested my Discord, and instructed me to screen share to resolve the issue. The situation escalated when they demanded my credit card information, which I refused, leading to the deletion of my account "Paramedic237" with the associated email [redacted] and password Jessie237. This resulted in the loss of hundreds of dollars in games. I urge for an investigation to be conducted promptly. Update: The perpetrator is now using my account to target my friends. This is a time-sensitive matter to prevent further incidents. Update: I have since locked the account.

I am having trouble remembering my Steam password and I can't access the email linked to the account for the password reset. I added a Steam Card a while ago to buy the Forgotten Gods Expansion for Grim Dawn. Since it was my first purchase in a long time, I had to verify my account but now I can't recall my password. The email on my Steam account has been inaccessible due to being locked for a long time from spam. I would like to update my email and password on Steam as the current email is outdated. Outlook's recovery process for the locked email seems unreasonable for an account that's almost 16 years old. I'm hoping there's a way for Steam to assist me in changing my email and password to a different one that I can access. Any help would be appreciated.

I received a message on Steam about an accidental report against me. The sender directed me to contact an admin through a specific link. I engaged with the individual who then asked for my Discord details and requested a screen share to guide me on resolving the reported issue. Eventually, the person requested my credit card information, to which I declined, leading to the deletion of my account. My account, Paramedic237, with the password Jessie237, and the email [redacted], had its information altered, except for the account name. The account had valuable games amounting to hundreds of dollars. Urgently looking for assistance to investigate the situation and hoping to recover my account. The perpetrator is now exploiting my account to contact my friends, emphasizing the need to act swiftly to prevent others from facing a similar scam. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I am disappointed that the Grand Theft Auto V - Criminal Enterprise Starter Pack I purchased for $9.99 on PC is not available even though the money has been deducted from my bank account. I would appreciate a refund. According to the refund policy for downloadable content on Steam, DLC can be refunded within fourteen days of purchase as long as the underlying title has been played for less than two hours and the DLC has not been consumed, modified, or transferred. However, there are exceptions for third-party DLC that may be marked as nonrefundable if it significantly alters gameplay.

My friend mistakenly reported me on Steam, and after directing me to chat with someone, I was told I was reported for illegal charges. I shared my Discord information, and we discussed my account's status, which he claimed needed verification. Eventually, he instructed me to purchase a $50 Steam gift card to regain access to my account, despite logging me out without my password. I could only afford two $40 cards, which he initially accepted. However, upon providing the card numbers, he demanded more money, stating $[redacted] was necessary to recover my account. Feeling scammed, I confronted him, but he blocked me and absconded with my money and account.

Recently, I moved back home from college where I used open wifi for gaming. Now at home with a private network, my computer can't find servers for games like The Isle and Ark: Survival Evolved, though Minecraft works fine. The issue persists even after updating all drivers and resetting network settings. I disabled firewalls, ensured game permissions, and reinstalled the games multiple times to no avail. Despite being connected through an ethernet cable, these games won't connect. I'm eager to play before heading back to college next week and need help resolving this before the semester begins.

My username is/was KozyKoalaa. My account was hacked, and I got a message on Steam from someone named Clem, level 2, claiming my account would be deleted unless I contacted W🅰RR🅴🅽, level 16, with 3 years of service and 150xp. After sharing my password and email due to a claimed bank card glitch, W🅰RR🅴🅽 asked me to visit G2.com and CStrade.com to purchase a supposed free $[redacted] gift card, which I couldn't buy due to insufficient funds. W🅰RR🅴🅽 then suggested buying a gift card from Walmart. Upon returning to my computer, I found I was locked out of my account as the password and email were changed. I need assistance with this issue.

I encountered an issue after accepting a trade from cs.money. The bot sent me a Dota 2 item, but it did not show up in my inventory. When I checked my trade offers, it indicated the trade was accepted, and I should have received the item. I reviewed my trade history to ensure no unauthorized trades took place. Could you please investigate why the item did not appear in my inventory and help to restore the Leviathan Whale Blade from Dota 2? Thank you.

Dear Support, I'm reaching out for assistance with a game purchase I made on Steam under my main account, Bottom Frog. Despite buying the game some time ago, I've been experiencing ongoing login issues which prompted me to create a second Steam account for family sharing. Surprisingly, I found that the validation code worked through the Rockstar Launcher, enabling me to retrieve my previous game data from Xbox. However, Steam has since revoked Family Sharing for the title, preventing me from playing due to the prior validation code usage on my original account. I kindly request your help in restoring access to my fully paid game. To clarify, I have two Steam accounts, one game, one Rockstar account, and a validation code utilized on the second account. Your assistance in resolving this matter is greatly appreciated. Best regards, Daniel

Dear Support team, I am reaching out for assistance with a gaming issue I am facing on Steam. I originally purchased a game on my main account named Bottom Frog, but encountered ongoing difficulties with logging in. To troubleshoot, I created a second Steam account to test Family Sharing using the Rockstar Launcher instead of Steam, which surprisingly resolved the issue. I was able to retrieve my previous game progress and items from my Xbox. However, Steam has now disabled Family Sharing for the game, preventing me from accessing it because the validation code is linked to my second account. I kindly request your help to regain access to my game, as I have already paid for it in full. To summarize, I have two Steam accounts, one game, one Rockstar account, and used the validation code on my second account. Your assistance in resolving this activation code issue is greatly appreciated. Best regards, Daniel

Dear Sir/Madam, I am a victim of a scam. Recently, I received a call from someone claiming I had won a lottery from LycaMobile Company. They asked me to purchase €[redacted] worth of Steam cards, suggesting either 2 sets of €[redacted] and €50 or 7 cards of €50 each. Suspicious, I contacted LycaMobile directly and was informed that they do not conduct such lotteries over the phone, confirming my suspicions. The scammers, who called from England to Germany, now possess our personal information, including passports, address, and phone number. They pressured us to buy an additional €[redacted] in cards. We have already purchased 7 cards, all of which they have activated. I urge you to take action on this matter by alerting the authorities to prevent further scams tarnishing the LycaMobile name. Enclosed are the codes for all 7 cards. Please assist in reporting this to the police and consider refunding our money if feasible. Codes: 1. DIKTY-0HYBI-YGIXC 2. One of my friends on Steam accidentally reported me for illegal purchases. When I reached out to an admin, I was instructed to visit a CS:GO trading website and add $25 to an account to "verify my payment ID" due to spending over $25 on my account. They said they would refund the $25, but neither my dad nor I believe this is legitimate, as a verification should not require a full payment. My temporarily banned account, under the name ggg[redacted] or FancyVegetable on Steam, needs to be resolved. All purchases on my account were made by my dad or grandpa. I am seeking assistance and prompt response to resolve this issue and restore my account.

I recently purchased a new PC and installed Steam, but I'm facing a significant issue. When logging in, Steam asks for a Steam Guard code. However, I'm unable to access the code because the email linked to my Steam account is currently blocked, and I haven't been able to resolve the issue yet. I've also encountered difficulties changing the email as it requires a phone number verification, which I'm unable to complete due to a recent change in my phone number. Any assistance with this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Earlier today, I received a notification informing me of a Community Ban on my account. My nickname was changed, and my profile photo was removed. An admin chat appeared, instructing me to transfer all items from my inventory to a second account or a friend's account to avoid losing them. Despite feeling shocked and confused, I complied, as the Admin's messages were highlighted, and my name had already been changed. While asking questions, the Admin mentioned that more information would be provided via email later. Following their instructions, I attempted to transfer the items to a friend's account, but encountered an error on my phone. The admin reassured me that this was normal and that a Steam bot would pick up the items within 48 hours for investigation. However, the bot's name in the trade history seemed suspicious, prompting my concern. I am seeking clarification from a Steam Admin to verify the legitimacy of the situation and determine if I have been a victim of a scam.

Yesterday, I encountered an issue trying to launch Wallpaper Engine and found myself logged out of Steam. After attempting to log back in, I was unable to reset my password because the email linked to my account was changed. When prompted to verify my identity with my last purchase information, I encountered a problem confirming my credit card as the one autofilled was lost. I provided all details but still couldn't proceed. I can list the games I own, the ones with product keys used, as well as my previous email and password. Any guidance on regaining access to my account would be greatly appreciated. My displayed username is 穆萨 and my Steam login username is kkkingdom2. Thank you.

Hello, I need assistance with an issue regarding a trade offer that was mistakenly sent to the wrong account. My friend did not receive the trade offer intended for them, and instead, a random person obtained my valuable CSGO items. The trade included items worth over £[redacted], such as a knife and a neon AK skin. This happened when I initially tried to send the trade offer to my friend but it was canceled and sent to a similar account with an identical name to theirs. The receiving account appeared to be a bot without any games. I believe my account may have been compromised, leading to this fraudulent trade. I no longer feel secure using Steam for trading with my friends. I urgently need help in recovering the traded items from the unintended recipient and potentially taking action against the account that accepted them. Thank you for your assistance.

Hello, my name is Maik Florkiewicz. I have owned this account for over 10 years and have purchased games on Steam, as evidenced by my purchase history. I have bought several CS:GO skins and play almost every day. For the first time in over 10 years, my account has been hacked. I can provide an email showing that someone from Russia accessed my account. I am concerned about my skins, as they are worth several hundred euros. Please assist me in recovering my account promptly. I can assure you without a doubt that the account belongs to me. Will I be able to get my stolen skins back? Thank you for your assistance, and I hope to hear from you as soon as possible. PS: PLEASE SEE FILE ATTACHED!!!! STEAM HACKED FROM RUSSIA!! Kind regards, Maik Florkiewicz

On January 19th, I was scammed out of a valuable item, the AWP | Gungnir. I have a video recording of the conversation (in Russian) where the scammer even sent screenshots of his bank account with the items. He started making excuses like mobile internet and bank issues. Though I admit it was my mistake, it's frustrating that scammers on Steam seem to face no consequences. If they remain unpunished, users like me should have the option to request trade transaction rollbacks. I've already reported the incident to Steam support and Valve Software. I hope for assistance in resolving this matter and retrieving my item.
