My friend's Steam account was hacked, and the hacker used it to convince me that I had been reported and needed to send a verification code to prevent an issue. The hacker created a fake video and posed as a Steam admin, making me believe my account was at risk of being banned. Regrettably, I provided the code as requested. I saved the videos and chat logs as evidence if needed.

I mistakenly bought 2 Steam gift cards, but only got refunded for one when both were supposed to be activated. The sales rep suggested keeping the receipt. Upon realizing one card was activated, I went back to Walmart, but the activated card is missing. My son tried using a card that we thought was active, but it didn't work. The receipt shows the active card [redacted] with $50.00. Can we get an activation code for it? The inactive card is [redacted]. Is it possible to shift the funds to the inactive card? Please provide guidance on resolving this issue.

I bought PUBG on December 29th, and that's when I started playing the game. Although there was a brief period where I played a bit on my roommate's computer in the past, that didn't register on my account. Since owning the game, I have only played for [redacted] minutes, well below the 2-hour limit for refunds. Despite this, the playtime shown is 9 hours due to past gameplay not on my account. I am seeking a refund per the policy. I am frustrated with the canned responses received and lack of proper review. I urge them to carefully assess my account and engage in a dialogue to clarify the situation.

I was banned from CSGO two days ago, but I wasn't aware that my friend would use hacks on the account. I made the mistake of lending another account to my friend, who then used cheats without my knowledge. I understand that I should not have shared my account with someone else, and I realize my error now. Unfortunately, due to Steam Guard, my main account has also been banned. I had put a lot of time and effort into my main account, earning special and valuable service medals as well as owning a valuable knife. I want to clarify that I did not use any cheating programs on my computer, and I am willing to cooperate with any investigation to prove this. I deeply regret the situation that has arisen because of my actions and promise it will not happen again. I acknowledge my responsibility in this matter and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused.

Dear community, I am in distress because my Steam account was hacked today, Wednesday the 8th of January, at 4:22 p.m. CET. I mistakenly deleted official emails from the Russian Steam platform, assuming they were spam, which led to my email address [redacted] also being compromised, enabling the hacker to change my Steam password. I urgently need assistance as I have a long history with this account, having purchased numerous games, including four copies of Left 4 Dead 2 as gifts for friends on the 27th of December, [redacted]. My name is Jens Stiefele, and I reside in Heidelberg, Germany. I typically use a Mastercard ending in [redacted] or PayPal ([redacted]) for my Steam purchases. Out of caution, I have already canceled my credit card to prevent any further financial losses. It would be greatly appreciated if my account could be reset to the email address [redacted] Thank you for your support.

I got logged out of my account in the middle of my game session. I attempted to log back in with the correct credentials, but to no avail. Trying to recover the account by sending a code to my email address proved fruitless as the email did not match any of mine. It seems likely that my account has been compromised. My Steam username is eddiethegamer122, and when in-game, my name displays as xXxStan MarshxXx.

I was playing a game when I got logged out unexpectedly. After trying to log back in with my correct account and password, I realized I couldn't get in. When attempting to reset the password using my email, I received a recovery email that didn't match any of my known emails. I suspect my account has been compromised. My username on Steam is "eddiethegamer122" and in-game, it's "xXxStan MarshxXx."

My account was hijacked because I was gullible and didn't trust my instincts about the suspicious situation. The hijacker has taken over my Rockstar Games account. I've submitted a request for help, but I'm currently locked out of my account and unable to take further actions. Although the email and password were changed, my phone number remains the same. The hijacker is threatening to delete my account unless I meet their demands to purchase keys and other things. I urgently need assistance as I'm concerned about what other information they may access or if they target my other accounts. I am prepared to do whatever it takes to resolve this.

My Steam account was hacked by someone. I reported the wrong person for illegal purchases, and now my account has been suspended. I received a message to follow some steps, but my Gmail account was compromised, the phone number on my account changed, and I can't access it now.

Two days ago, while watching a stream by a popular Twitch streamer, a banner appeared prompting me to log in for a chance to receive free in-game weapon skins. Assuming it was legitimate due to the streamer's endorsement, I attempted to log in on the provided link. However, I encountered login issues and decided to stop and go to bed. The next morning, I received numerous emails alerting me to unauthorized access to my account and confirming that my email and phone number had been removed. I am now locked out of my account as the hacker changed both the email and password. Steam support is slow in responding, and the situation is exacerbated by the fact that my account is being used by someone in Romania. I was able to capture a screenshot of the email associated with the compromised account, but most of it is obscured due to privacy policies. I hope to receive assistance soon.

My account has been flagged, and I recently received a message from Steam Support stating that it has violated the Terms of Service Agreement. In the next 24 hours, my ability to purchase, gift, trade, buy and sell items on the Community Market, and activate cd-keys will be permanently disabled. I have been given this window to transfer my valuable skins to either a friend or storage account before the restrictions go into effect.

I was wrongfully accused of having duplicate inventory items on my Steam account. When I reached out to the Steam admin to clear up this misunderstanding, the verification number sent to my phone did not match. I have repeatedly asked for clarification on what this means, but after waiting for an hour, I have yet to receive a response. I am unsure whether this issue has been resolved or not.

I noticed there have been approximately 10 charges on my bank statement from Steam Games, amounting to approximately $86 for unauthorized transactions. Steam Games refused to reimburse me, claiming the games were played for over 2 hours. I did not play these games or create the account. These charges were all made in December [redacted]. I am seeking a refund but lack a phone number or any contact information to dispute the refund decision. Thank you, JN Kramer

I bought a $50.00 Steam card yesterday, and when I tried to use it today, I got an error saying the code had already been redeemed. I'm confused as I just purchased it. I would like a new code or a refund of $50. I don't want to lose money on a useless Steam card. I'm frustrated by this situation and would appreciate a resolution.

Recently, a friend mistakenly reported me for unauthorized purchases. I reached out to the same admin who spoke with him to explain the situation. Despite providing evidence, the admin with Blob in his name proceeded to ban my account and alter the associated email address without my permission. He even requested I purchase BitCoin and CS:GO skins to validate my purchase history. I am simply requesting the reinstatement of my account as I have invested a substantial amount of money on Steam.

Hello, my username is luckykuro69, and my account got suspended unjustly for allegedly violating the terms and conditions. I used my hard-earned Steam money to purchase in-game packs, but my account was still suspended. It's frustrating to see others in Duel Links doing the same without consequences. I had money in my account that has mysteriously disappeared. It's been over ten days since I was promised a refund, but I haven't received it yet. This issue needs to be resolved promptly. I don't want to use software that falsely accuses me while others get away with similar actions. I simply want my money back and fair treatment like others who engage in the same activities without repercussions. Thank you.

Three years ago, I created a Steam account on my friend's recommendation. I downloaded a game, thinking it was the one he suggested, but it turned out to be the wrong one. Disappointed, I haven't logged in for three years. Recently, my friend got the game he had recommended to me, prompting me to try to recover my account. I vaguely recall my account name but nothing else. Despite attempting to reset my password multiple times, I struggle with entering the correct information or captcha. I hope to reactivate my account to avoid starting from scratch again.

Last night, my account was hacked when I attempted to claim a "free game" from a third-party website. They instructed me to log in to Steam to receive the prize, but soon after logging in, I received an email notifying me that my email had been changed, locking me out of my account. The email contained the IP address [redacted].[redacted].[redacted].[redacted] (RU) of the unauthorized change. My username on the account I've had for 15 years was "pimpyoass21" and the email associated was "[redacted]" I am concerned about exclusive in-game items that could be deleted, and I heard from friends that the hacker is sending spam messages with virus links to my contacts.

I recently downloaded Steam to purchase Monopoly Plus for a game night. However, upon trying to launch it, the game did not open. Instead, I encountered an error message regarding the dynamic link library. Furthermore, I am consistently prompted for an email code whenever logging into Steam, which is frustrating. As a casual player, I find Steam to be excessive for my needs and it's causing issues on my laptop. I paid for the game through PayPal and have requested a refund to resolve this situation promptly. I hope to receive a response soon. Thank you. -Sheri L.

My son received a message on Steam stating his account was mistakenly reported and instructed him to reach out to Steam admin. The Steam admin account seemed authentic, so he provided his username and password as requested. They altered the email address (even after receiving verification codes) and changed the password as well. We attempted to regain access through Steam support, but it indicated that the recovery attempt limits have been exceeded. Even before providing the passwords, I confirmed the account on Steam appeared genuine. Can anyone offer assistance?
