I need to reset my password to uninstall and reinstall Steam on a new SSD. My current password isn't working, even though I have it written down from when I created my account in [redacted]. I need to verify my account, but my old credit card linked to it has been closed due to being compromised. Discover no longer has information on that card. I linked my account to an old email address I no longer use, and Gmail recognizes it exists but doesn't let me log in. I have since used a different email for gaming. I'm willing to do whatever it takes to prove ownership of my account and change my password. If I log out, I'm afraid I'll lose access to $[redacted] worth of games. Please assist me in resolving this issue.

My friend's account got hacked without my knowledge. The hacker sent me a link claiming to offer free CS:GO skins, making me think it was from my friend, AdmiralBongo. I won a skin, but to claim it, I had to sign in to Steam where my account details were stolen. Now, I can't access my games because the email associated with the account was changed by someone from Russia. My original account name was MUDDRIVER[GER], but now it's been changed to Ssshhhiiittt. I created a new account and noticed the hacker was online for 2 hours. A Steam friend informed me the hacker is currently playing CS:GO under the name Lone Wolf- Henning. I'm unsure how this can be resolved. The games on the account amount to 75€, a lot of money for me. Perhaps there's a way to retrieve the account, as my Steam friends Hildebrannt and TIRESDRIVER[GER] can confirm my ownership. Lone Wolf Henning discovered that the hacker deleted all friends from the account. I'm hoping for a solution. If not, I appreciate any assistance. Goodbye, Sven from Germany.

I bought the Valve Index® VR Kit which included Half-life Alyx, intending it to be a gift for my son. I mistakenly redeemed the game in my Steam library instead of his account. Since the VR Kit is for him, the game should also belong to him. Is there a way to transfer the game to his account without cancelling the entire purchase? Kindly assist.

An employee arbitrarily deleted my account. It was reported by an individual upset over losing in Team Fortress 2 and your employee, Diana, Discord username DianaTM#[redacted], declined to provide a badge code for verification, leading to the deletion of my account. I possess the entire conversation with Diana on Discord, as well as the one with the other player in Team Fortress 2. This incident has left me frustrated and disheartened, especially since I have been a dedicated player for three years without any prior issues. Please restore my account.

I received a $[redacted] Steam Wallet card on December 10, [redacted], as a gift. Today, December 12, I scratched off the back and tried to redeem the code, but it keeps showing as invalid. I have double-checked the code for accuracy, tried different ways of entering it, and waited before trying again, but it's still not working. I'm wondering if the cashier may have forgotten to activate it.

My friend and I attempted a trade where he could use my knife while I couldn't play. After accepting his trade request, I realized the knife was not in his inventory. Upon further inspection, I discovered that the trade with him was auto declined, sending the knife to a different account. Our discussion about the trade makes it unlikely it was a scammer who recreated his account quickly. I suspect my account has been hijacked, as that is the only plausible explanation. The knife is worth $[redacted], and I am eager to recover it promptly.

I am experiencing severe harassment from a group of individuals on Steam. They are disclosing my personal information, including my address, name, and my parents' names in-game. They have threatened to send services to my house, harm my family, and even mentioned bringing a weapon to the school where I work. I have documented everything and have a list of their Steam IDs. I request that these individuals be removed from the gaming community. I am willing to provide video evidence, their Steam IDs, and even grant access to my account for you to witness the harassment firsthand. The game has very few servers, and they continuously disrupt my gameplay by team-killing and banning me. Despite alerting the FBI and local authorities, I hope to once again enjoy playing my favorite game. Please contact me via email for further details.

I was signed into my Steam account when suddenly my password stopped working. I am confident that the password I am using is correct, but it seems to have been compromised, possibly by a hacker. Consequently, I have lost access to all my purchased games like Xcom2, Rocket League, Chivalry, For Honor, Terraria, and more. I have invested a significant amount of money into these games and it's disheartening to lose them. I would appreciate assistance in resolving this issue. My account name is Niktolad.

Hello, I'm having trouble progressing in Crash Bandicoot. I am only able to complete the first 5 levels in Crash Bandicoot 1, 2, and 3. After that, the game stops working properly and won't let me reach the next levels. I tried watching a tutorial on YouTube to get past a level, but the game I have doesn't work the same way. It freezes after the first part of the game, specifically the super dodge level. I paid good money for this and it's frustrating that I can't progress further.

Hello, my name is Sebastian, and I am 14 years old. I was trading items in CS:GO and unfortunately lost two knives. The person I was trading with took over [redacted] euros worth of knives from my Counter-Strike Global Offensive account. I believe he hacked my account as I can see the trading history showing my valuable knives were transferred to his inventory. The knives in question are a "Gut Knife Freehand" with the nametag "Stereoheart" and a "Butterfly Knife Scorched." These were special gifts from my parents for my birthday, and I am really upset about losing them. I would appreciate any assistance in resolving this matter. Thank you for your attention to this issue.

I would appreciate it if you could please stop sending me emails immediately. I deleted my account yesterday due to the overwhelming amount of emails I have been receiving. It's concerning that someone is trying to access my account. Since closing my account less than 20 hours ago, I have already received 10 emails stating the same issue. At this point, I no longer wish to be associated with Steam. Kindly delete my account, remove my email address from your records, and cease all email communications. Thank you.

I attempted to enter a Rocket League tournament through a link sent by a friend, but as soon as I clicked it, my email and phone number on my Steam account were changed. Now, I am unable to modify either because changing one requires the other. I tried to enable authentication but regretted clicking it after the fact. Despite repeatedly attempting to cancel, I couldn't exit the process until I used Task Manager to close it. Subsequently, I had to sign back into Steam, and now I'm not receiving the codes necessary to access my account. I rely heavily on this account to enjoy games with my friends, and I have invested a lot into it. Please assist me in resolving this issue so I can return to playing.

My account was hacked, and my friends discovered a message on it that I did not write. I've changed my password and email, but I am unable to log in. I fear being banned unjustly. The issue may have stemmed from someone harassing me to engage in a scam involving trading items. I refused, leading to this problematic situation with my profile. I would appreciate any assistance in resolving this matter.

Hello, I am having difficulty streaming games from my tower computer in the living room to my laptop while my wife is watching her shows. I have tried using "big picture" mode as suggested on various forums, but it only plays both audio sources on the living room TV. Is there a way to solely stream the game on my laptop while allowing my wife to watch her shows separately? I prefer not to hear Greys Anatomy while I game. I have reached out to Microsoft and ASUS, but they directed me to contact each other, leading to a frustrating situation. Can anyone provide assistance with this issue?

I recently lost $50 in a scam related to a Steam gift card and a promised deposit into my PayPal account. Despite being told that purchase a second gift card would resolve the issue, I never received the promised funds. I hope to receive a refund for the lost funds and the gift card.

My son's account was compromised, and now we cannot access the games he purchased, and his friends list is empty. He explained that an acquaintance from Steam messaged him on Discord, claiming to be a Steam Admin and asking him to click a link to resolve a reported issue. This falsely led to his account being blocked and communicating with the imposter who inquired about credits and shared information. Despite my son's request to regain access to his account, the imposter changed his password and abruptly ended the conversation. Following Steam's support instructions, we reset the password and updated the email associated with the account. Upon signing back in, we discovered all games were missing, and the friends list was empty, even after reverting to the original email. My son, a 14-year-old who invested a considerable amount in games and DLC, is understandably upset. I am seeking assistance to address and resolve this distressing situation promptly. Thank you, Rico M.

Hello, I've been enjoying playing Stay Out on Steam when the latest update caused server issues resulting in the loss of valuable in-game items, including my two most expensive ones. Despite reaching out to support, there has been no response or acknowledgment of the problem from the game developers. I find it disappointing that players who have invested real money in the game are being ignored. I kindly request assistance from someone at Steam to address this matter or provide a full refund for the £60-70 I spent on the game. I understand this is a significant request, but the items I lost were obtained through real money purchases. Thank you for your attention to this issue.

Yesterday, my Steam account was reported by a friend for allegedly duplicating items. After confessing it was a mistake and meant for someone else, he advised me to contact a Steam supporter for assistance. I am not familiar with duplicating items on Steam; all I do is play games with friends. The Steam support representative mentioned a $50 fee to recover my account, which I am unsure about. Any guidance would be appreciated.

I purchased Halo: The Master Chief Collection only to discover that my computer cannot run it smoothly. I had high hopes for the game, so it's disappointing that I can't enjoy it as intended. I don't foresee upgrading my computer anytime soon. Therefore, I would like a refund of $49.99 CAD, as it feels like a wasted expenditure now. Unfortunately, I am unable to use the direct Steam refund option because the game has been running for more than 5 hours while I attempted to make it work on my system. Getting a refund would mean a lot to me as $50 is a significant amount for me at the moment. Thank you for your assistance.

I purchased a Steam card at my local Food City store, but it had already been used. I wanted to get a new card because I bought it as a gift for my girlfriend. When I returned it to the store, they said they couldn't help me. They advised me to contact you for assistance in getting a replacement. Please let me know how you can help me with this issue. Thank you.
