I purchased a Skyrim CD on eBay for my computer, assuming I could simply insert the CD and play like on Xbox [redacted]. However, when I used the CD key, it prompted me to download Steam and then indicated that the CD key belonged to someone else. I prefer playing offline as I travel with my computer, not an Xbox. How can I resolve this issue? Should the seller delete their game copy? It's confusing compared to games like Diablo where you need the CD to play.

I am attempting to transfer items between two CSGO accounts on the same PC, both under different Steam accounts. Despite being logged into my usual device, the system keeps directing me to the browser and displays an error message stating that I cannot trade due to logging in from a new device. I have tried to send the trade offer in both directions without success, even after enabling Steam Guard. How can I successfully trade items between these accounts on the same computer without encountering these frustrating errors?

In [redacted], I purchased Fable 3 on Steam. Recently, I wanted to play it again but encountered a Games for Windows Live (GFWL) sign-in issue. Despite efforts to sign in, it stated my account was incorrect and the key was already used. After contacting Microsoft with no solution, they claim the code was not redeemed and suggest Steam should replace the product key. I just want to enjoy the game I paid nearly $80 for, so any help would be appreciated.

I had Destiny 2 installed on my computer. After restarting, I noticed that Steam doesn't recognize the installation anymore. Although all the game files are still on my computer, I'm unable to get Steam to acknowledge it. Unfortunately, my drive doesn't have enough space for a reinstallation as Destiny 2 is 80 GB. Clearing space for another installation is not an option for me right now. How can I make Steam recognize the existing installation of Destiny 2?

I recently received fraudulent emails instructing me to purchase five Steam cards valued at $[redacted] each for an urgent matter. After buying the cards totaling $[redacted], I discovered it was a scam. I attempted to return the unopened cards to 7-Eleven, but they required approval from Steam before processing the return. The cards remain unused with the codes not revealed, and they are in their original, unaltered condition.

Tonight around 9:30 pm EST, on December 9th, my Steam account, named skinners_og, was hacked. The hacker also changed the email address and phone number associated with the account for 2-factor authentication, as well as the password. It seems the hack occurred due to clicking on a malicious link. I have screenshots showing a friend on my list who might also have been hacked, requesting to play an ESL tournament. I have documented evidence of my account, Steam's email notifications, and the 2-factor authentication codes. I am willing to provide any additional information needed. Thank you for your help.

I need assistance regarding a concerning situation with my Steam account. A user named BluDeuce(depressed) contacted me claiming he mistakenly reported me for trade scamming and directed me to a supposed Steam support person on Discord. After providing information about my account and sending a confirmation code received on my phone, the person on Discord mentioned putting my account into "safe mode" for 10 days. Subsequently, I was logged out, discovered my password and email had been changed to a Yahoo account - which I do not use. My phone number linked to the account was also altered. I suspect I fell victim to a hijacking attempt. I can provide evidence to verify ownership of my account and believe my account has been compromised.

I recently purchased a $[redacted] Steam card at Best Buy, intending to gift it to my boyfriend. However, upon scratching the card, the code (OPW35IYKQ7RLFYJ) had already been redeemed. Hello, I am experiencing issues accessing PlayStation and Steam from my home IP address. After contacting my internet service provider, it seems that the IP might be blocked. I bought a game on November 19th for £19.34 and used my girlfriend's bank card to pay for it. However, the game didn't work, so I requested a refund. Steam said it would take 14 days for the refund to go back into the bank, but we haven't received it yet. Steam shows the refund as processed and the case closed. My girlfriend contacted her bank, but they couldn't find any pending refunds. Unfortunately, there isn't a way to contact anyone at Steam directly about this issue. Can anyone assist with this?

Dear Support Team, I recently received a VAC ban on my Steam account. After conducting thorough research to ensure there were no suspicious programs on my computer, I only found Razer Synapse, which I use solely for my new keyboard and not for any cheating purposes. I believe it might have triggered the VAC ban mistakenly. I have never used any cheats or injected anything into CS:GO. I bought a $50 Steam gift card from CVS. The code was new and untouched, but when I tried to verify it, it said the card was invalid. Steam told me it was redeemed on another account, but I only have one account and rarely use it. I have only spent $2.50 on Steam and did not redeem the code.

I've been having difficulty updating my games on Steam. Despite trying various solutions suggested by the Steam community, such as changing download locations, clearing the download cache, booting my PC in safe mode, disabling Windows Firewall, and reinstalling both Steam and my games multiple times, I still can't get the updates to work. Steam support has not been helpful, and I'm at a loss for what to do next.

I am feeling frustrated. Recently, Steam banned my two accounts without a valid reason. I have dedicated two years to playing on those accounts, and I have invested a lot into the game. Hello, I am seeking assistance regarding my Steam account being hacked. A random user messaged me around 9 or 10 offering free C.S.G.O skins. I clicked on the link they sent, thinking it was legitimate. However, it prompted me to log into my Steam account to receive the skin, which I attempted but was unsuccessful. I contacted Steam support and followed their instructions, which led me to an IP address 45.[redacted].60.[redacted] (RU), a suspicious location since I reside in the EU. The account was originally under the name DisaRmElo and currently under [T-[redacted]]AgentMysticalPvp. It appears the hacker might have self-locked the account. German: Hallo, In meinem Steam-Account besteht schon seit einiger Zeit das Problem, dass die Handy-Authentifizierung über Steam manchmal nicht funktioniert, nachdem ich mich angemeldet habe (Fehlermeldung: "Dieser Code ist falsch" oder ähnlich). Ich muss dann meistens den Steam-Support kontaktieren, die den mobilen Authentifikator zurücksetzen, woraufhin es für kurze Zeit (ungefähr 15 Tage) wieder funktioniert, um dann erneut das gleiche Problem zu haben. Nun ist der Handelsbann seit dem letzten Zurücksetzen abgelaufen und ich musste heute Morgen feststellen, dass ohne mein Wissen bzw. Einverständnis mein gesamtes Inventar an jemand Fremdes gehandelt wurde.
