I wanted to download Football Manager [redacted] Beta, so I downloaded Steam on my MacBook. However, after installing it, I was prompted to download OSX Catalina. This led to issues with Steam and Football Manager wouldn't complete its download. I bought this game for £35 and now it seems I won't be able to play it. I tried seeking a refund from Steam, but they redirected me to the game publisher. SEGA informed me that I should request the refund from you since I bought the game through your platform. I see you have a 14-day refund policy. I hope this confusion won't cause me to lose my money. I appreciate any assistance you can provide. Best regards, Pete

I believe that my account has been compromised. I received a link from a friend on Steam and entered my account details, thinking it was for a game involving skins or something similar. Subsequently, my email address, username, and password were changed by someone else, and I am now unable to log in to my account. I have all of the emails related to this incident, as well as a text message from a number purportedly belonging to "Steam" with a German country code, +49. I would appreciate your assistance in recovering my account. I can provide all of the evidence if necessary. Thank you for your help.

I am facing an issue with my Steam account. It was suddenly banned and I am unsure why. I was informed that my account would be restricted and was given only an hour to transfer my skins to a friend's account to prevent them from being banned or locked as well. I managed to select my skins and began transferring them to my friend, but the transaction was instantly declined on his end, even though he didn't do anything either. Now, my items have ended up on a suspicious account without my authorization. I am unable to find a phone number for Steam's support, and I find it disappointing that such a large company lacks proper phone support, leading me to feel frustrated and distrustful of their services.

A friend and I thought it would be a great idea to purchase For Honor to enjoy some 2v2 matches like we did when it first came out on PS4. However, after waiting for 3 hours to download the game, we were disappointed to find out that we couldn't even find an online game with other players after waiting for over 15 minutes in the queue. I have requested refunds from Steam four times, but they have denied all four requests citing that I have played the game for over 4 hours. What they don't seem to understand is that most of that time was spent waiting and going through tutorials just to be able to play with others. I purchased an online game to play online, not to struggle to find a game. My friend was able to get a refund for his game, so I don't understand why I am being denied. It feels unfair to lose $32 on a game that I can't even play properly.

Hello, I reside in Italy and I recently made the decision to buy a Valve Index after the Half Life: Alyx announcement. I visited a nearby hardware store in Italy and bought [redacted]€ worth of Steam gift cards (the Index is priced at [redacted]€). I then tried to redeem the gift cards on my personal Steam account. Despite multiple attempts to purchase the Index using my Steam wallet balance, I consistently received the error message: "An unexpected error has occurred. Your purchase has not been completed. Please contact Steam Support." After reaching out to Steam support and researching online suggestions, I found out about fraud issues related to Steam gift cards. I updated my support ticket with this information, providing evidence by sending pictures of the store receipts and the gift cards. However, even after more than 24 hours, I have not received a response from Steam support, and the error persists when I try to buy the Valve Index. I'm now stuck with over [redacted]€ in my Steam account with no option to refund the gift cards. Can anyone offer assistance with this issue?

I would like a refund for my Just Cause 3 game because it is too challenging for me and runs slowly on my computer in full-screen mode. I only have 16 hours of playtime on it, which is not enough for me to enjoy the game and would like to return it as I have grown tired of it. I am requesting the refund to be processed back to my Steam wallet so I can purchase a different game that suits my preferences. The situation is similar with my Rust game where I have over 40 hours of playtime, and I understand that this may not be eligible for a refund.

Hello, I am reaching out regarding an issue with the Steam software. I am in a serious situation and I hope for your help. A friend of mine who was also my real-life classmate has passed away. We are trying to access his Steam account named "isim" to preserve his memory. I kindly request your assistance in transferring the account ownership to us. To verify the authenticity of my request, you can find information about the tragic incident on the following link: [redacted] or you can simply search for "lost Hungarian sister and brother in Mallorca." I am ready to provide additional proof, including photos, to confirm my relationship with him. Your prompt response would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your understanding.

I recently received a VAC ban in CS:GO. Last Friday at 11:10 PM, I received an email stating that my Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator was removed. Soon after, I received two more emails indicating that my phone number and email associated with my account had been changed. Confused, I tried to log in but couldn't as my password had been altered too. I contacted Steam Support at 12:17 AM on 15/09 to report the situation. They responded at 2:52 AM asking for confirmation of my ownership, to which I promptly replied. Unfortunately, it wasn't until 4:49 AM that I regained access to my account. During this time, the hacker played some matches with suspicious scores, likely using cheats, resulting in my ban. I have evidence and timestamps to support my case and request the removal of the VAC ban.

I recently purchased a new laptop and received incorrect information from the sales representative. I explained that I needed a laptop for online classes, Netflix, Hulu, and for my children to play games on. Despite the laptop having limited gaming capabilities, I was recommended a model that struggles to run games. I downloaded Sonic Adventures 2, Batman Arkham Knight, and Aliens versus Predator Colonial Marines, with only Aliens versus Predator being playable. I am seeking a refund to my card or Steam account to purchase other games. Technical support directed me to a website to check game compatibility, where I found a few suitable options. Please assist me as I have limited Wi-Fi access. Feel free to contact me via email. Thank you for your attention. Sincerely, Joshua B.

Hello, this individual hacked my account. I need my account back; I don't want to lose the money I invested. All we need is a valid transaction ID to unlock the account. Do you know how to find it? I don't. Can you guide me through this? I have no credit card information connected to my account. I own a credit card, but it doesn't end with those numbers you mentioned. I'm not comfortable with using $50 on my credit card. I suspect my account has been hacked. It seems best to delete the account now. I am concerned and will contact Steam Support and report this interaction.

My Steam account has been hacked, and I am seeking assistance to recover it without losing the money invested. I do not have the transaction ID but am willing to cooperate. I do not have credit card information linked to the account. I declined a request to use $50 on my credit card for a refund to unlock the account. However, the conversation took a suspicious turn, and I am considering reporting this incident to Steam Support.

My account got hacked. This person claiming to be Paul Houston asked for my transaction ID to unlock it. They mentioned my credit card, but I refused. When I declined to authorize a payment, they threatened to delete my account. I suspected a scam and stated I would involve law enforcement. I have reported this to Steam Support.

I need urgent help! Recently, during a community service interaction, I was scammed out of over [redacted] items valued at $[redacted]. I urgently need assistance to resolve this issue. I was contacted by someone claiming to be from community service, mentioning reports and suggesting that in order to avoid being blocked, I needed to provide a friend's name from my list. Following this instruction, all my items were transferred to this person who then proceeded to block me. After being assured to wait 10-15 minutes to check the log, I was subsequently ignored. This situation is extremely distressing and I am seeking the return of my items. Why would someone do this? Your immediate attention to this matter is greatly appreciated.

My account is roben784 and my email is [redacted] I purchased the game a few days ago and have played very little since then. During a public game match a few days ago, my two squad teammates were shooting at me and my friend, but they did not kill us. One of them shot at me first, so I shot back in self-defense and eliminated them. Today, I was suddenly banned from the game! I am extremely disappointed as I believe I was acting in self-defense. It is crucial to review the match to uncover the truth. I have been banned from the game until December 6th, and this unjust action has left me very disappointed. I will be requesting a refund! I only acted in self-defense to avoid being killed. I am puzzled as to how a ban could be issued without first reviewing the match to understand what truly occurred. I will share my experience with all my friends, many of whom I know through my work as a PC technician, urging them to uninstall Steam and report this issue everywhere if my problem is not resolved. This situation is unjust, especially considering I purchased the game without any prior warnings.

My account is roben*** and my email is *****@***.com. I purchased the game a few days ago and have played very little since. One player shot at me first, and in self-defense, I shot back and eliminated them. Today, I was suddenly banned from the game until December without any warning. I am extremely disappointed as I was simply defending myself. I am considering requesting a refund as I feel this ban is unjust without reviewing the match to see what truly happened. I find it unfair to be banned without a proper investigation, especially when I paid for the game. If my issue is not resolved, I will inform my friends and acquaintances, many of whom are in the tech industry, about this experience and take further action.

I have encountered an issue with my Steam account twice. The first incident occurred around the beginning of the year, and the most recent one was about two weeks ago. I have been using Steam for years without any trouble. Initially, I lost access as it did not recognize my password or user ID. In response, I created a new account and repurchased games amounting to over $[redacted]. Unfortunately, I am once again locked out of my account. On both occasions, my daughter used my laptop to access her own account on Steam, which I suspect may have triggered the problem. I am seeking assistance to resolve this issue. It would be greatly appreciated if my two accounts could be merged and reactivated, as I have lost access to all my games and have made considerable financial investments. My last user ID was Bupka52, the old email tied to the first account was [redacted], and my new email is [redacted]

Hello, my Steam account "kim_storm" has been temporarily banned due to an investigation into duplicated items allegedly done by my friend Kenzie. We had a conversation where she admitted to the mistake. I contacted support and spoke with someone named Winston from Valve Corp. He asked me to check for duplicated items through a link. Afterward, my email and phone number were removed from my account. Winston asked me to transfer money to another account, which I did partially before encountering issues with refunds. Now, I'm concerned about the legitimacy of the person I interacted with as I haven't received any updates. I have transaction details if needed. Any assistance in getting my refund back and restoring my account would be greatly appreciated.

I downloaded and installed Command & Conquer Tiberium Wars and Kane's Wrath through Steam. Both games won't launch, indicating a need for DirectX 9.0 or higher, despite me having DirectX 11.0. This seems to be a common problem on Windows 10 which I haven't been able to resolve. Attempts like downgrading DirectX or adjusting resolution settings didn't work. Could you offer a solution to help me play these games? Thank you, Ewan.

I was surprised to see that my refund was processed for a controller I didn't request. This experience has been quite disappointing for me, especially since this was one of my first transactions on Steam. I'm stuck in a seemingly endless support loop, unable to find anyone to address my concerns. While I understand if it's not possible to lock in the sale price or offer a raincheck, it's disheartening to miss out on the controller without any explanation. If there's a way to resolve this, I'd appreciate some assistance or clarification on what happened.
