Recently, my account was compromised. I received a message from someone on my friend's list claiming they had mistakenly reported me for deceiving them in a trade. They directed me to add a supposed Steam admin to rectify the situation. This "admin" requested my account name and Steam Guard code to prevent a permanent ban. Regrettably, I provided this information out of concern for my account's safety. Subsequently, I lost access to my account as the password and linked email were changed. After regaining control through Steam Guard, I changed my password, but later discovered my account was self-locked without my action. Despite providing Steam support with verifying details like email, phone number, and payment information, my account remains in this state along with a community ban. I am seeking assistance to regain access to my account.

Someone falsely accused me of breaking the rules, then directed me to a supposed Steam moderator called G-Tug. G-Tug confiscated some of my items claiming they were duplicated. After reviewing all my items, he insisted they were also duplicated and demanded $20 for their return, stating it was to prevent future duplicates. He later said I could have them back at no cost but required my account details. Trusting his authority, I shared my information only to have my account compromised, leaving me unable to access it. Subsequently, my Steam authenticator was disabled, further complicating the situation. To retrieve my items, G-Tug now insists on 10 keys. This situation is distressing as I invested significant time and effort in acquiring these items, only to have them taken away due to someone's deceit.

I submitted a refund request less than 8 hours after purchasing the game. The download process took nearly 2 hours, and upon attempting to play, I encountered performance issues with the aircraft from the DLC I bought. Spending 3 hours trying to resolve the problem on my own, I eventually gave up, realizing I could not enjoy the game. Unexpectedly, my request was denied twice due to the 2-hour playtime return policy. I believe this policy to be unjust as I only exceeded the time limit by an hour, and since I bought three separate items, it's unlikely I used all three for three hours each. I respectfully ask for a review of the decision and a refund as I meet the two-hour requirement. Despite this issue, I hope to continue being a loyal customer. Thank you. Best regards,

I have encountered numerous issues with the cards I purchased recently. Several of the cards I bought and sent to people were reported as already used or redeemed. This problem has persisted, even with the same individual notifying me multiple times. I meticulously document the purchase process by photographing the card, scratching off the code, capturing the receipt, and promptly sending them without any interference. Yet, recipients still receive cards that have supposedly been redeemed. It is baffling, and I suspect there might be fraudulent practices at play. I am a Christian and am disheartened by the idea of dealing with deceitful behavior. I have attempted to seek refunds to no avail, encountering a lack of cooperation. I hope to receive a prompt response and resolution to this matter to avoid escalating it to higher authorities.

I encountered an issue last night after purchasing and installing Saints Row IV. Following the installation, I noticed that my online, away, and invisible statuses were not displaying correctly on Steam. They only show as O, A, and Inv with the rest of the letters cut off. At times, it even indicates that I'm offline when I'm not. Despite trying solutions like clearing the download cache and reinstalling Steam from scratch, the problem persists. I've already contacted support but have yet to receive a response. I have two email addresses to share information—one being [redacted] Any assistance to resolve this matter would be highly appreciated. Thank you. -Andrea

Someone in my friends list erroneously reported my account for scamming and couldn't retract it. Then, an individual named "Mr. Liam" messaged me on Steam, claiming to be an admin. Feeling pressured, I sent some TF2 items to prevent my account from being deleted as threatened. However, when he didn't return my items and demanded I purchase TF2 keys for $[redacted], I declined. The imposter started changing my profile information and threatened to delete my account. Concerned about potential misuse, including unauthorized access to my card details saved on Steam, I'm unsure if this "Mr. Liam" is a genuine admin since there was no staff badge on the profile. I'm puzzled by his authority to coerce me to spend money, modify my account, and block my friends.

I received a concerning message from my friend regarding my Steam account being reported for having duplicated items. Supposedly, I needed to engage with a user named Pantak to prevent a ban. Despite believing my items are legitimately acquired from scrap.tf and stntrading.eu, Pantak pressed me to trade all my valuable Team Fortress 2 items under the threat of an account deletion. Skeptical, I only traded him 1 Mann Co supply crate key. A supposed error occurred on his end, claiming it was insufficient to prevent the ban. Despite my successful trade, Pantak continued the countdown. Eventually, he warned of an account deletion, then promptly blocked me, along with my friend. I requested proof of his legitimacy but only received a dubious video demonstration of deleting accounts. To date, my account remains intact, but I seek clarification on this distressing situation. Sincerely, Brad.

After my friend alerted me about a report on my Steam account for duped items, I was instructed to contact a user named Pantak to prevent a ban. Despite having no duped items, Pantak demanded my valuable Team Fortress items within a limited timeframe under threat of deletion and ban. Skeptical, I declined and only traded one Mann Co supply crate key. Although Pantak claimed it was insufficient to spare my account, the trade went through smoothly. Following the countdown, Pantak warned of deletion, then promptly blocked me along with my friend. Despite requesting evidence of his credibility, all he offered was a video demonstration. Currently, my account remains unaffected, but I seek clarity on the situation. Regards, Brad

Hello, I recently purchased the game Hedon and played it for around 3.6 hours according to my Steam time. However, I realized that the game's pacing and style just don't appeal to me. The first level alone took over 30 minutes with minimal action and a confusing layout that required a lot of backtracking. Subsequent levels, though slightly better paced, remained confusing with sparse action. I couldn't tell if the game would improve beyond the 2-hour mark. As a result, I don't find the game enjoyable and have no intention of continuing to play it. I would appreciate a refund so I can allocate my funds towards something that aligns better with my interests.

Hi, I need assistance. My elderly father was scammed after receiving a fake Apple notification and contacting someone named Adam who claimed to be from Apple. Adam instructed my father to purchase Steam cards from Walmart, scratch off the codes, and provide them to him over the phone. It's disheartening to witness our loved ones fall victim to these schemes. I am hoping to retrieve information about the owner of the account linked to the stolen pin numbers on the cards and potentially involve law enforcement. I am in the process of reporting this incident to the police. I possess more card details that I will gather from my father, who is elderly. One of the Steam card numbers is E43KO-Y3F26-3373A. I can provide additional card information soon. I appreciate any help you can offer in this situation. Thank you.

Hello Steam community, I have never been involved in fraud before, but this is my first time experiencing it. I was selling a wig on eBay when a person posing as a serious buyer contacted me, claiming the wig would be a birthday present. I am innocent in this situation and need assistance from Steam Customer Support to track where the gift card included in the transaction was applied, as fraud is being committed. eBay advised me to seek help from Steam, so here I am. I am not looking to retrieve the money, as I understand the mistake was mine, but I would like to know if the funds from the gift card can be transferred to my uncle, who I know had no part in this. I am disappointed with the whole situation, especially seeing only $5 left in my account due to this fraud. The gift card code is JNALO-YJAJH-2T907. I found myself involved in a fraudulent transaction while trying to sell an item I no longer needed. Please assist me in resolving this issue.

Hello! I recently purchased the Steam Index VR Kit. I set it up yesterday, but I've been experiencing sound issues with the VR headset. I suspect it has something to do with the audio device manager. I searched online for a solution and found one that involves registry skills, which I lack. Although I managed to get the sound to work by updating the NVIDIA graphics driver yesterday, it's not working again today. I'm hoping to find a lasting solution so I can enjoy using my VR kit worry-free. Thank you.

I recently received a trade offer of $[redacted] for my CS:GO item inventory. After waiting the full 7 days with Narcos, a trader with a Steam level of 37 and nearly [redacted] trades done, I sent the agreed-upon items in the trade offer. However, Narcos did not pay as promised and took most of my inventory before blocking me on Discord, Steam, and CS:GO. I can provide proof that no money was received on PayPal at the scheduled time of the trade. I am hoping to recover my items and prevent this trader from scamming others.

I recently fell victim to a website that appeared legitimate and claimed to be affiliated with Steam, offering game giveaways. I was directed to a sign-in page that mimicked Steam's official layout, unknowingly providing my account details to hackers. It took Steam nearly two days to recover my account, during which the hackers made unauthorized purchases using my Steam wallet funds. They sent game gifts to another account, which was played for over 2 hours resulting in a ban, thereby nullifying any refund options. The currency change in my purchase history, from Malaysian Ringgit to Russian Ruble, clearly indicates fraudulent activity. Despite feeling discouraged, I'm sharing my story in the hopes of reclaiming my refund rights.

I purchased Rainbow Six Siege Deluxe Edition yesterday. After downloading, I encountered an issue where clicking to play the game redirected me to the Steam store, prompting me to purchase it again. Despite buying the game, I uninstalled it to reinstall, but it disappeared from my library. Although it shows in the store as in my library, I am unable to install it. I even tried reinstalling Steam, but the problem persists. Instead of "play," it shows "purchase" in my library. Even though it is in my purchase history, I can't find or install it. Only the R6S test server shows in my library, which requires the game to access. Surprisingly, the game doesn't take up any storage space. Additionally, I can't verify the integrity of the game files since the game is missing from my library.

I'm part of a gaming group text, and a new member was unsure which Steam card to buy for her son. I shared photos of my $20 and $50 Steam cards, with the latter already scratched as I planned to use it. Unfortunately, she used the code from the $50 card by mistake before I could. I reached out to Steam for help, but I received repetitive emails directing me to call customer service, which in turn informed me they don't offer phone support. The cycle has become frustrating and feels like a dead end.

Hello, I'm experiencing issues with my Steam games. When I launch a game, it briefly shows the preparing to launch screen and then nothing happens. I've tried various solutions I found through research, and as a last resort, I uninstalled the game. Now, I'm struggling to find a way to reinstall the game, in this case, 7 Days To Die, that I purchased through Steam. I couldn't locate the game in my library to reinstall and when I checked the store, I only saw a "buy" button instead of a "play" button. Additionally, I couldn't find the game folder on my Windows 10 computer. Essentially, I have two main problems: I can't reinstall 7 Days to Die and none of my Steam games will launch. Thank you for any help you can provide!

I am unsure if my account has been hacked, but I am facing issues that make me suspect unauthorized access. While playing a game, I noticed multiple saved game replays with titles created by someone other than myself. When I contacted the game support team, they mentioned that they do not have control over such actions, indicating that someone else may indeed be using my account. After leaving the matter unresolved for a while, I encountered a new issue with the same game today—I am now unable to launch it. It seems like another person is currently playing the game, preventing me from accessing it. This situation is quite perplexing for me, as I am not familiar with handling such occurrences. I changed my password today, but the problem persists as I still cannot launch the game. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated as I navigate through this issue.

Can someone assist me, please? I'm from the Philippines and I'm 15 years old. My father is a Pastor. I urgently need help to access my two accounts, "ggisreal133" and "rikimaro134." They contain valuable items that I've invested a lot in. If you can't remove the authenticator, can you at least disable mine? The account linked to the username provided has an authenticator and all my valuable items. I'm locked out because I lost my phone and can't remember the recovery email addresses. Your prompt assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and God bless.

I purchased three $50 Steam cards at Walmart to give to friends. Despite some delay at the store to find the cards, I eventually bought them and distributed them to my friends. Unfortunately, when they tried to redeem the cards, they received a message stating the codes had already been used. The codes in question are [redacted], [redacted], and [redacted]. I am upset by this situation and have tried to address it with Walmart, but they refused to assist once the cards were scratched. I am left out of pocket $[redacted] and with unhappy friends. I am seeking a resolution and would appreciate any help in resolving this matter.
