I encountered an issue with my Oculus Rift S which led to being disconnected from Steam after rebooting. Initially, I struggled with my password, seeking support to resolve the matter. Eventually, I recollected my password, logged in successfully, and followed advice to change my password. Strangely, the system appeared to identify my login as originating from a different device. Although my library displays my current games, none of the game links function. Furthermore, the desktop game links are inactive. The Steam link in the hidden icons on the toolbar only shows old games I haven't played in years. Moreover, my username, "O1TONO1," is displaying as "Unknown" in the Steam library. Selecting it prompts a prompt to log out of the account. Presently, I am unable to access any of my games.

I recently purchased games for my girlfriend on Discord and now suspect that she used me. I would like full refunds for the games I bought for the accounts Ayame and German_Spy.05. I believe Ayame scammed me and would like to know if they will be notified when I request the refund. I prefer not to do it immediately but at the right time. Can I get a refund for a gift I purchased a month ago, even if it has been played?

I purchased Frostpunk during the summer sale. After returning from a 2.5-week vacation, I encountered issues launching the game despite reinstalling it. Even after formatting my computer, the game still wouldn't work. I wanted a refund due to being unable to play. I only have 2 minutes of playtime since I couldn't access it during my absence. This has negatively impacted my long-time experience with Steam.

I have concerns about Steam gift cards possibly being involved in a scam. I received a call from someone named Dominic in California who promised me grants from Valve Corporation if I bought $[redacted] in Steam cards. He showed me a picture of a $11,[redacted] U.S. Treasury check over the phone. His partner in New York has the number [redacted], but I don't know their name. I don't usually buy these cards and never intended to use them. I have been trying to get in touch with customer service at [redacted] for three days but haven't received any response. I need more information before taking this matter to law enforcement.

I recently received a call from a loan lender in Manchester, England, informing me that I was approved for a loan. In order to proceed, I was asked to purchase 7 Steam cards totaling £[redacted], which would be refunded along with my loan. After providing the card codes via WhatsApp at [redacted]3, I expected the loan in my bank account but it has not arrived. When I inquired about the delay, I was urged to buy 2 more £20 cards, totaling £40, to receive the funds. Refusing this request, I demanded a refund, which was denied unless I paid the additional £40. I have reported this incident to Action Fraud and the FCA. I have receipts from Argos for the purchases and I am seeking a refund, as I believe this practice may be illegal.

I purchased a CD key for Total War: Three Kingdoms on G2A, but upon trying to activate it, I received a message indicating it was a duplicate key. I contacted the seller and provided screenshots of the error message and my game library. The seller requested that I reach out to Steam to verify when the key was used. I have searched through Steam's support page extensively but cannot find any information on how to contact them directly. The only guidance I found was to contact the retailer for a new CD key. I am stuck in a situation where the seller and Steam are giving conflicting instructions, and I am left with a duplicate key and no resolution, feeling frustrated for spending money on an unusable key.

I purchased a $[redacted] Steam card in Lowell, MA at GameStop for my grandson's birthday. Upon arriving home, I discovered it was invalid. After going back to GameStop three times without a resolution, I contacted GameStop corporate three times as well. They assured me I would have a solution in 3 days, but nothing happened. My grandson was told by GameStop corporate that it was resolved, but it wasn't. I'm frustrated as I'm still out $[redacted]. I'm considering not returning to GameStop, and my family and my grandson's friends feel the same. I need help getting a new Steam card or a refund. Should I involve the news or a lawyer? It's unacceptable to take people's money and not resolve the issue. How can I get my money back?

When I first discovered this game on YouTube, I had high hopes that it would surpass other sim city games. After a lengthy half-hour installation process, I encountered delays before being able to play. Seeking a refund after the initial disappointment was unsuccessful due to exceeding the playtime limit. Despite spending 33 hours on the game, the performance fell short, possibly due to my computer's limited 1GB RAM. I am aware that Steam is a reputable gaming platform, but I am disappointed with the game's performance. Exploring options for a refund or credit toward another game is essential. For further assistance, kindly contact me via email at [redacted]

My son took a Play Station 4 he stole to GameStop, where he received $[redacted].00 in credits, which he used on Steam without authorization. I reported this to the Garden Grove Police Department. I am reaching out to discuss the process of returning the credits to GameStop and reversing/blocking the games purchased. Due to my limited tech skills, I kindly request a phone conversation with a supervisor/manager, even though I understand this is not the usual protocol. I believe an exception could be made in this unique situation. I would greatly appreciate your assistance while I have access to my son's account. He resides in a board and care facility. Thank you for your understanding. Kindly reach out to me at [redacted]. - Margie

Today, while watching a video, I logged into Steam and noticed that my profile had been altered. Unusual content appeared, with my profile description showing a message about an account notification related to complaints regarding third-party programs. Steam Support advised that my account was engaged in activities against the Steam Subscriber Agreement and would be blocked for 24 hours. Following this, I attempted to trade my falchion knife fade factory new, but the trade did not go through, and the knife was missing from both accounts.

I purchased the Dark Souls 3 Deluxe Edition as a birthday gift for my brother since it was on sale. When I tried to install it today, it was not in his gifts box. My brother assures me he completed all the necessary steps with the email. Although the card used for the purchase is no longer active (as it was a temporary debit card from my employer), I am still eager to get the game. I am unable to receive a refund due to the inactive card. If there were payment issues, I am willing to provide a different card number. I am hopeful we can quickly and efficiently resolve this matter so that my brother and I can enjoy playing the game together. Thank you for your assistance, looking forward to hearing from you soon.

I purchased a bundle on Humble Bundle that included Crusader Kings II, and I'm having trouble activating one of the DLCs, Holy Fury, on Steam. The key I received is being rejected by Steam, claiming it's not available in my country (Poland). However, when I check the Steam store, I can see that the DLC is purchasable. I would like to activate this key since I got the bundle at a discounted price and would prefer not to spend extra money on it.

Upon visiting a website promising free skins that was highlighted on the main page, I was instructed to sign in via Steam. This process opened a secondary window, a step I've taken on multiple occasions with other websites. Shortly after, I received an email notification concerning the addition of a phone number to my account, a password change, and a login from a new computer in Russia. Given that I have made purchases on this account, I am concerned about safeguarding the funds invested. I have access to the debit card details used for transactions, along with additional verification information proving my ownership of the account, including email credentials and other relevant data. Urgent assistance to prevent permanent loss of my account due to unauthorized access would be greatly appreciated.

I need assistance with my child's account "chiliwawa56" on Steam. I have two teenage boys, and amidst a divorce, I discovered unnoticed charges totaling around $67 between May and July this year from this gaming site. I need to stop these charges immediately. Can you please provide a detailed summary of purchases on this account since its inception? Afterward, please delete all account information. I also want to discuss a potential refund as the account was likely set up by my underage child without full awareness of the charges. Kindly respond promptly as I am pressed for time to deal with this matter.

My Steam account details were changed without my permission, and it seems like it was accessed from a Russian IP address. I found out about this through an email notification about recent account changes sent to my Gmail. The previous account name was game_freak241. I have the credit card information used on the account, but all methods of verifying the account have been altered. I'm very worried and unsure how to proceed.

I bought R6 credits for Rainbow Six Siege this morning at 7:00 am. The credits didn't show up, but the money was taken from my credit card. I reached out to Ubisoft because Steam's site said my purchase went through. Ubisoft's live chat said the credits were on hold because the store location switched from Egypt to Brazil when a friend in Brazil accessed my account, added funds, and bought the credits as a gift for me while I was away for a few weeks. Despite this explanation, I still haven't received the credits. I'm hoping for your prompt assistance as I really need these credits in the game. Thank you in advance!

Hello, My boyfriend used to spend a significant amount of time playing The Citadel game and even provided constructive feedback for improvements. While I'm not very familiar with the game, he has transitioned from playing solo to joining public servers to assist other players and make friends. Unfortunately, he unknowingly violated the rules in an empty server, leading to a VAC ban on his Steam account. This ban has deeply affected him as his Steam account is essential to him. Despite his efforts to appeal and take responsibility for the mistake, the automated system seems unyielding. I've reached out to the game developer for assistance, but it seems beyond their control. I am hoping for a resolution that could potentially lift the ban considering the circumstances. Thank you.

My Steam account has been stolen. The password, email, and phone number have all been changed, leaving me with no way to access it or make any changes. The problem occurred while I was at the Steam Launcher trying to open Counter Strike. Below, there were multiple ads featuring a workshop and "free skins." I clicked on it, subscribed, and proceeded to click on a link which redirected me to another website that asked me to sign in. Believing it was a legitimate Steam-related site due to its appearance on the launcher interface, I entered my details. It was only after signing in that I realized the email, password, and phone number had been altered.

I received an email from our pastor requesting to buy a STEAM card for a cancer patient. He mentioned he was busy and couldn't purchase it himself. Since it's not uncommon for us to help, being part of the hospitality team, I didn't hesitate. After buying a $[redacted] card and sending the activation code, the pastor asked for an additional $[redacted], promising to reimburse me. This raised suspicions, and upon closer inspection, I noticed the email came from a .com instead of the usual .org address for our pastor. Feeling foolish, I realized it was likely a scam. I still have the card and code. I would appreciate any assistance in blocking the card or getting a refund. I'm cautious about sharing details now, but I can provide them once trust is reestablished. Thank you, Preston.

I'm encountering an issue regarding my account ban on Valve and I am seeking assistance as I believe it was unjustified. The representative handling my case has been requesting various forms of evidence, such as screenshots and purchase receipts, to validate my claims. Despite providing substantial proof like my purchase history, the requests for more evidence continue. The last strange request was for a minimum of $50 in billing receipts with the promise of a $58 refund upon verification. It's puzzling that the representative didn't utilize their access to my account information and purchase records directly instead of repeatedly asking for screenshots. After submitting extensive proof, the communication abruptly ceased.
