Ok, my grandson and I bought a steam product, Foundation. He bought it so quickly he didn't check to see if it was Mac compatible. It wasn't. We filed for a report immediately within ** minutes of purchase. Valve*Steam responded to our refund request by saying we did not respond within the designated time period, but we did. I want a refund so my grandson can buy another Valve*Steam game that runs on Mac. They are not going to lose our money.
GetHuman-mctocco did not yet indicate what Steam Software should do to make this right.

I went back to Steam, opened up my account and then went to support help again. This time I selected Steam Charge Not Authorized on my Credit Card (or something similar to that, even though that was not my issue) I gave them all the data they requested about my original purchase and stated that I had filed a refund request immediately upon purchase. They refunded my purchase amount.
