I purchased Jump Force and pre-ordered it on February 2nd. It was released on the 15th, and I was disappointed to learn that the 14-day refund policy starts from the pre-order date, not the release date. My refund request was denied. I have played the game for 8 hours, but some of that time was due to accidentally leaving the game tab open. Despite giving the game a chance, I found several issues such as long, unskippable cutscenes, save file problems, poor animation in the cutscenes, desynchronized voice acting, and random frame drops. Considering these issues, I don't believe the game is worth the £50 I paid for it. I am hoping for a possible refund. Thank you for your attention, and I look forward to your response.

I am encountering an issue with the refund process. My brother used my account to gift a game to our mutual friend without my knowledge. This resulted in a charge on my credit card linked to my steam account. Despite my efforts in contacting Steam and submitting refund requests, I have not been successful due to our friend playing the game extensively. Since the transaction was unauthorized and a result of a breach, I believe I am entitled to a refund. I am disappointed by the difficulty I am experiencing in resolving this matter, especially considering my loyalty as a customer for the past 2 years. The game in question is Warhammer: Vermintide 2, gifted to JBL for $12.98. I kindly request assistance in returning the funds to my account. For further communication, please reach out via email.

I am currently attempting to sell a knife through my account: SJKD23. I was contacted by an individual named David who offered a fair price. However, he proposed a method involving Discord and Steam offline trading, where I send the item first and he pays afterward. I expressed my concerns and suggested trading through the Steam system. This led to David accusing me of being a scammer and making intimidating threats. He claimed to be part of a large Facebook group and implied he could cause trouble for me. Feeling uneasy about the situation and aware of potential violations of Steam's Terms of Service, I am seeking advice and assistance promptly. David's actions are escalating, including threats of banning my account and obtaining personal information. I have documentation of our communication if needed for investigation. The situation is becoming distressing, and I would appreciate guidance on how to handle this matter. Thank you, Dylan Stauch (SJKD23)

I received a message on Feb 22 at 10:15 am, just under an hour ago. The first email used is j***s@h***m, and the phone number on the account ends in [redacted]. The type of card is a ******Card with the last 4 digits being ****, and the name on the card is ****. Someone is sending prices after stealing my account. I am frustrated with this situation and the loss of approximately $[redacted] worth of games. I received another message at 10:19 am, stating that I have been hacked, with my Steam account email changed. I attach a file named Untitled.jpg, and provide my correct email address as [redacted] The hacker behind this is identified as "seuz" or "zeuz," described as a blond guy. I am unable to access my account anymore, with considerable funds at stake. If my account is not retrieved, I am considering leaving Steam for good.

My Steam account was stolen recently, and I want to share how it happened. A while back, I noticed I was logged out of my account, assuming it was due to forgetting my password. However, when I tried to log back in and reset the password, the displayed email was unfamiliar, starting with a different letter and being a different length. To prove ownership, I have a PayPal receipt from a purchase made on June 24, [redacted], and can provide necessary information and screenshots. The account name was WITHERDRAGON88, later changed to NeoCourser, and linked to Scrap.tf. Upon accessing my account through the website, I discovered changes made by the unauthorized user, including a new profile link and private settings. Although alterations were made, proof of PayPal linkage and past transactions still exist. Any assistance in reclaiming my account from the current user would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your help.

I have encountered an issue with my account on Steam due to a suspected fraud case. To verify my account, I had $[redacted] temporarily withheld without receiving a refund. After contacting my credit card company, we managed to recover the amount. However, I was informed that $[redacted] is needed to complete the verification process, which seems excessive to me. I assure you that I have not engaged in any fraudulent activities on Steam or Valve. I simply wish to regain access to my account, enjoy my games peacefully, and avoid unnecessary verifications for a market I rarely use. I have a clean history with Steam, with no previous violations. My account username is Excision_Dawn, and my email, which used to be [redacted], has been changed by the unauthorized user who now controls it. I am willing to undergo any verification process that does not involve a financial transaction to recover my account. All I desire is to play my games, particularly TF2, without disrupting others.

My friend and I attempted to trade (CS:GO skins). When I sent the offer, it was canceled multiple times. Eventually, one offer went through, but my items were removed, and my friend received nothing. He declined the offer, which Steam confirmed. When he tried to send me an offer, I never received it. Upon checking, his items were no longer available for trade. His items have disappeared from his inventory, and we are uncertain about their whereabouts or if we will be able to trade them. We would appreciate any assistance. Thank you.

I am frustrated as I write this email regarding an issue with a recent purchase on Steam. My partner made an impulsive purchase on Warframe, spending over $[redacted] and leaving our bank account with a negative balance of $53. We have important bills amounting to $[redacted] due soon, and our income is only $[redacted] until then. I am hopeful that a refund is possible to rectify this situation as we are facing financial hardship due to this oversight. My partner, under the name keres and email [redacted], is willing to cooperate if a refund is feasible. My Steam account is under the email [redacted] Any assistance in resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated to help us recover from this unfortunate situation caused by my partner's lack of foresight.

Yesterday, at 4:22 pm, my mother bought a $20 Steam gift card for me from Target to get a game my girlfriend wanted me to play with her. However, when I tried to redeem the code at home, I kept getting an "invalid code" message. I double-checked my typing, tried different variations, and waited as the receipt mentioned activation within three hours. Unfortunately, even after 24 hours, the code still doesn't work. I'm unsure if it's an issue with Target or Steam, given past problems with Target gift cards. I have the receipt as proof of purchase and hope to resolve this soon.

I have tried twice now to get a refund for my purchase of PlanetCoaster, but it has been denied both times. It seems that my playtime exceeded the 2-hour limit and reached 4 hours. However, 2 hours of this time was spent pausing the game to search for instructions on Google. I feel frustrated as my refund requests and explanations are not being acknowledged. I only just got the game a few days ago, but I find it too challenging to enjoy. I spent over 3 hours on Youtube looking for a beginner tutorial, but couldn't find one. I could only manage to place a few wall parts on the map before giving up. It's disappointing that my appeals for a refund are not being reviewed properly. I hope this message reaches the right person. Thank you.

I work at the University of Delaware Athletics Department and recently fell victim to a phishing email impersonating my boss. The fraudulent email requested me to buy $[redacted] in Steam gift cards with my credit card and send the wallet codes. I mistakenly sent the codes to my boss on a different email thread, which alerted us to the scam. Even though I tried to stop the credit card payment and return the cards to Walmart, I was unable to do so. The university cannot reimburse me as they did not authorize the purchase. I possess all the necessary documentation related to this incident. I am seeking a way to recover the lost $[redacted] due to this scam. Thank you, Bob Lopez.

My friends and I have been playing games on Steam for quite some time now. While some games are enjoyable, others are not our cup of tea. I am deeply concerned about how companies like Steam could alter content to comply with regulations in countries like China, compromising freedom of expression. Sharing technology, such as video games, with allies is beneficial. However, China's oppressive regime is not an ally and presents a serious threat. I urge you to reconsider your approach towards countries with authoritarian practices. Upholding American values of freedom of expression is crucial, especially when dealing with countries like China known for human rights violations and lack of due process. It's important to stand against censorship and support transparency in content availability. If these practices continue, I will use social media to raise awareness about these issues.

I recently discovered that my grandson made unauthorized game purchases online between January and February 21, [redacted]. I initially thought my credit card was hacked due to the large charges, mainly from Steam. I contacted my credit card company, and they canceled my old card on February 22. The charges amounted to $[redacted] to $[redacted], with some of them being authorized by me. My grandson wants to review the games he purchased, but I am unsure if this is allowed. I am now facing a $[redacted] bill due on March 13, which I cannot currently afford. I plan to dispute the Steam charges with my credit card company while my grandson sorts through the games he wants to keep. I am uncertain if the company will go back three months or what their specific policies are.

My account was compromised by someone in Russia who changed my email address to [redacted] and added their phone number. I have been reaching out to Steam support for help with no success. I am hesitant to provide credit card information as I only realized I was hacked recently, despite it happening a month ago based on the verification date. The responses from Steam support seem automated, although I understand the need for professionalism, I would appreciate more personalized assistance. I just hope for clear responses addressing my concerns when I reach out for help. Apologies for the lengthy complaint, I look forward to a resolution.

My friend, Onion, was recently locked out of his Steam account after being scammed by two users who I can identify through their profiles. They tricked Onion out of his items and managed to remove his Mobile Authenticator. Following this, they removed his phone number from his account, and now the account is in lockdown. One of the scammers is pretending to be a Steam moderator, and the other is controlling a mutual friend's hijacked account. I am eager to help Onion reclaim his account and prevent these individuals from further theft of Steam items and accounts. Unfortunately, the Tf2 items obtained through the bot posing as Steam Database are now unrecoverable. Still, I hope that taking action to combat scammers would align with Steam Support's objectives. Any assistance with this matter would be greatly appreciated.

I'm having issues with Steam on my computer. Previously, I used to receive a message about conflicting software with an incompatible version of LavasoftTCPService.dll inside the steam process. Clicking "ok" resolved the issue, but now the same message appears, and nothing works afterwards. I attempted to delete Lavasoft, but it remains open in Nvidia backend, preventing deletion. This used to work by simply clicking "ok," but now it's not functioning. Please assist me as this is frustrating me.

I recently contacted Steam because I forgot my password. They reset my account's password for my PC and mobile. However, when I try to log into the mobile app, it won't let me log in. The app is asking for a code from the mobile authenticator app, even though I am trying to log into the app itself. I can't provide a code if I'm not logged in. Is it possible to cancel my Steam Guard authenticator so I can log into my account on my PC? I initially raised this issue 6 days ago. Regards, Steam account molsiee

In September [redacted], I intended to transfer my items to another account. Unfortunately, the items ended up in the inventory of a trade-banned Steam user instead of the intended recipient. I have attached files: 1. a list of the missing items, 2. the Steam profile of the trade-banned user, and 3. the account where the items were supposed to be transferred. I hope this information is clear and I look forward to being contacted once you investigate this unusual situation.

My account was compromised on March 2, and the hackers used it to buy and gift the game PUBG. They used my steam wallet for the payment. I've managed to recover my account and now want a refund for the unauthorized purchase. Despite sending three tickets, all I got were repetitive responses stating that the game was gifted. I find it frustrating that I am not getting proper assistance. The hackers used my account to buy a game, and now that I have control again, I want my money refunded and the game removed from the hackers' account. This should not be so difficult to resolve. I have been trying to get this sorted for a while now and need a more helpful response than the generic ones stating the game was gifted and advising the use of steam support by the other person. It is illogical to expect hackers to use steam support for refunds. I urge for a more understanding response as I am eager to recover my money. Regards, A.

My son recently spent £[redacted] on a knife for his CS:GO game. While he was playing, he suddenly got kicked out of the game. Upon logging back in, he was shocked to find that all his purchased items were gone. His account was hacked, and he lost everything. It is frustrating that after investing so much money in the game, there is little protection for players like him. Last week, he had a similar incident due to misplaced trust and took measures to safeguard his account, only to face this situation now. He has dedicated significant resources to the game, and losing everything is devastating. I am seeking clarification and a prompt resolution to this predicament. Preventive measures must be in place to avoid such incidents in the future and to hold accountable those responsible for such actions within the gaming community.
