I recently experienced a vac ban on an account that belongs to my brother. He was caught cheating on CSGO, which led to a ban. Unfortunately, his phone number was linked to my Steam account, resulting in my ban as well. Despite multiple messages to Valve, I understand the ban cannot be lifted, but I am hoping to at least retrieve my valuable skins. On that account, I had a Butterfly Knife Night FT and lost approximately $[redacted] in skins. Regrettably, Steam Support has not been responsive to my inquiries, and I am unable to reach out to them via phone for assistance.

My son recently received a message through his Steam account regarding a disputed transaction for $7.99 in wallet funds used to purchase content for the game "Paladin". Due to a dispute initiated by VISA, the purchased content was removed, and his account will remain restricted for 4 weeks unless the dispute is resolved. The transaction was unsuccessful as the credit card connected to the account was compromised and subsequently canceled. My son did not receive the purchased content and does not wish to keep it. We are seeking assistance to remove the dispute language from his account. His account name is "theaardvark71". Kindly advise on the necessary steps to resolve this issue. Thank you.

Hello Steam, I hope you are well today. Unfortunately, I became a victim of a scam involving Steam Gift Cards. Responding to what I believed was a message from my boss, I mistakenly fell for the scheme. Despite purchasing ten $50.00 gift cards from Walgreens at [redacted] N. Nevada Ave, Colorado Springs, CO [redacted], I only shared the card numbers via text with my boss and did not send the codes to the scammer. Luckily, the gift cards remain unused. Upon attempting to return the cards to Walgreens, the manager declined to refund the purchase. I am reaching out to Steam in the hopes of finding a resolution. I still possess the cards and have the corresponding Walgreens gift card receipts. Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your consideration. Sincerely, Tim Muldrew

A few years back, I was modding a game and switched to play Left 4 Dead 2 but forgot to close Cheat Engine, which I may have used for Dark Souls II or Dark Souls mods. Upon noticing Cheat Engine still running, I closed the game in a panic. Subsequently, I received a Vac-Ban that now hinders my participation in gaming communities and CS:GO workshop voting. This ban has rekindled my desire to remove it, yet I am aware of the challenges as many sources indicate its permanence. Despite having evidence to contest the ban, it has been almost four years, and I no longer possess it.

I have returned my copy of the game, and my cousin also returned his copy, which I had gifted to him. According to the refund process, once the gift is refunded, I should receive the money back for my copy as well as for his. The game in question is Portal Knights, which was purchased at a discounted price of $10.13 each. Therefore, I am due a total refund of $20.26. However, after the refund was processed, I only received the $10.13 for my cousin's copy. I have checked my Steam account, and there are no pending funds. I did receive an email confirming my refund, but I haven't received the $10.13 for my copy of the game yet. Additionally, my cousin is unable to refund his lost copy because it appears that my refund has already been processed. I am seeking assistance to receive the remaining $10.13 owed to me. Thank you.

During the Hunt Showdown free open stress test in February [redacted], I participated, spending the majority of my time in menus and loading screens due to the stress test nature. Despite not making any purchases and receiving my key through Discord, I decided to revisit the game after various updates. Unfortunately, upon purchasing and downloading it on Sunday the 16th, I found the gameplay experience still subpar with constant stuttering, making it unplayable. My attempt to request a refund through Steam was met with a response stating that the playtime exceeded the refund policy's two-hour limit. Surprisingly, they mentioned a playtime on the test server, which is not even installed on my computer. Despite multiple refund requests explaining the situation, I have not received any response from Steam's support team. If anyone has encountered a similar issue or knows how to effectively contact Steam for resolution, your insights would be greatly appreciated.

I recently forgot my Steam account password and followed the online procedure provided by Steam to reset it. Despite entering the verification code and setting a new password, I keep encountering an error message when trying to log in. Multiple attempts have been made to access my account with no success. I have attempted to contact Steam over the phone to speak with a representative, but have been unable to reach anyone. This issue is particularly frustrating as I have purchased a new gaming PC and am unable to install my Steam/Valve games without access to my account. I am hopeful that Steam can provide me with a solution to this problem and allow me to regain access to my account soon.

I received a friend request from a suspicious Steam bot asking me to send items to a friend's account. After sending expensive items to my brother thinking they would be in his inventory, I found out the trade was canceled by a third party, and the items were sent to a fake account. I want my items returned, including a Karambit Doppler (Phase 1). Prior to this, I noticed my account had been reset and received threats from an account named VAC BOT #[redacted]. The account was banned for allegedly using illegal software. I want my items back as they are important to me. The ban was stated to be permanent, but I believe it was a mistake. I'm looking for resolution as soon as possible.

I recently bought Company of Heroes 2 a few days ago. Later, I decided to purchase the complete bundle when it went on sale. I was aware that the original game was included in the bundle. To avoid duplication, I asked for a refund for the standalone purchase. A message confirmed the removal of the game from my account. However, now I'm experiencing issues with team selection in the game. It seems like my access to the base game is missing, only allowing me to play the expansion packs. Could you please review my account and reinstate the entitlements from my latest purchase? Thank you.

I recently participated in a group event, but now I'm locked out of my account. When I tried logging into CSGOXLOOT.com, I realized my password wasn't working. After being kicked out of Steam and receiving an email about changes to my account, I believe it was hacked from Russia. I've tried following recovery steps and watching tutorials, but no luck. My original account details are: Account Picture: Photoshopped baby Account Username: Kreaty Account Name: samkry1 Original Password: [redacted]11A Original Email: [redacted] I'm 16, so I may need help providing more information like credit card details. If you can assist, I'd appreciate it.

I received a text message from someone promising a good CS:GO skin if I logged into a website using my Steam account. Unfortunately, I fell for it. When I attempted to log in, it claimed my password was incorrect. When I tried to reset the password via email, it was sent to a different email address. I am currently reaching out to Steam for assistance. This situation has left me extremely upset, to the point of tears. At 12 years old, I pride myself on my grammar and writing skills. I plead for help in recovering my account, as I have invested a significant amount of money into it. The account is under the name "garrentanavaro." I am hopeful for a resolution to this distressing issue.

I am experiencing a problem with my computer every time the Steam application receives an update, causing my games to slow down and drop in frame rate. This seems to be unrelated to internet connectivity and potentially a computer hardware issue, although I am doubtful. I suspect the application updates are somehow disrupting my games. The only temporary fix I found was restarting the computer after the update has been installed, allowing my games to run smoothly until the next application update triggers the issue again. This problem is isolated to this specific computer, and I have not come across any similar cases or support for it. I can provide more details if needed. Thank you for your assistance, and happy holidays. Best regards, -W P.S. My computer is a Dell Precision Laptop with Windows 10 operating system.

I would like a refund for £[redacted] in Steam gift cards. I applied for an online loan and was instructed to purchase these cards to cover an upfront cost. I provided the card numbers over the phone as instructed, but the promised loan funds were not deposited into my bank account. I am not familiar with Steam or have an account with them, and now I am out of pocket. How can I go about getting a refund for this situation?

I received fraudulent calls from individuals pretending to be from the Australian Tax Office. They claimed I owed money and threatened me with arrest unless I paid them immediately. I ended up sending them a total of $[redacted] AUD in Steam gift card codes over the phone. I realized it was a scam when they couldn't provide accurate information during a call. I've reached out to my bank and the police, but unfortunately, they haven't been able to assist me. I am struggling financially and emotionally due to this situation. I am willing to provide all the necessary information if it can help resolve this issue. I hope there is a way to recover some of the money lost to these scammers.

I recently received a ban in Counter Strike Global Offensive due to suspicions of cheating during a public match. I was frustrated with the increase in hackers after the game went free to play, so I decided to test out similar software used by hackers in matches against bots and friends to better recognize cheaters. My intention was solely to detect hackers, not to use cheats in public matches. Even though I uninstalled the software before playing casual matches with my friends, I still received a ban. My friends who were aware of my testing agreed that the ban was unfair, as no harm was done to other players who didn't consent to using cheats. It's puzzling to me that some of my friends who also use cheats have not been banned. Cheating has been a significant issue for me since [redacted], despite my [redacted] hours in the game.

I'm having trouble selling items on the community market because it says I don't have mobile authentication. I've tried setting it up, deleting it, and trying again, but I still can't list any items. I'm hoping to sell a Danger Zone case from Counter Strike: Global Offensive and would like to do it before its value drops significantly. I would appreciate it if I could start listing items again. Thank you.

I logged onto my PC this morning to play CS and discovered that I have been banned. The reason for the ban is unclear to me as I was not online yesterday. The issue that concerns me the most is that all my skins are now inaccessible. I would not mind the ban if I could still sell or trade my skins because in that case, I could create a new account and repurchase the game. However, the fact that I cannot access my skins makes repurchasing the game pointless. Additionally, I've noticed that my Gut Knife Autotronic is missing. This situation has left me feeling extremely frustrated and upset. I would like to find a way to sell my skins because if I choose not to repurchase the game, I would need the money instead. Some of my friends have mentioned that my account appeared to be active in competitive matches yesterday, leading me to believe that my account may have been hacked.

I received the X3: GoldBox game as a birthday gift a while ago, and I encountered an error while trying to activate it on Steam. The message I received was: "Oops, sorry! An error was encountered while processing your request: There was a problem redeeming the gift. Please try again later, or contact Steam Support for assistance." I attempted to seek help from Steam Support but could not find a solution for this specific issue. Additionally, when I called customer service, I was directed to either leave a message or go online for support, which was not helpful. When I purchase or receive a game, I expect to be able to play it immediately. I am eager to start playing the game and would appreciate a prompt resolution to this issue.

Hello, my name is Jackson. I am reaching out to customer service regarding an issue with my Steam account. Today, on December 25th, [redacted], my friend's Steam account was hacked. The hacker changed the email and password associated with the account, locking my friend out. I received a link in Steam's messenger from what I thought was my friend, but it was actually the hacker. Upon clicking the link, I was directed to a csgo skin website where I unknowingly logged in with my Steam account details as requested. Unfortunately, I now find myself in this difficult situation. There were private and sensitive items on my account including my parents' credit card, games I had purchased, skins, and card drops worth a significant amount of money and time investment. I hope for a prompt resolution to this issue, especially during the Christmas break, as this experience has been stressful. Thank you for your attention to this matter and I look forward to your prompt response. Wishing you a wonderful Christmas break. :)

On Christmas, I received a $50 Steam gift card. Unfortunately, while trying to scratch off the code, I accidentally removed the first two numbers. After scratching off the remaining code, I realized the issue and tried inputting the code without the first two numbers. I later found the missing numbers on the plastic piece, but even after waiting and trying multiple times, the code is now showing as "invalid". The code is as follows: 40X6L-L626D-8GXM3.
