I was trying to (re)install The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim ... I forgot my Steam account password and went through Steam's online procedure for changing*resetting it by entering the verification code which Steam sent me and then entering a new password.*On trying to access my account, using the new password, I receive an error message despite having tried on several different occasions.* I have tried phoning Steam, in order to speak to a human, with no success. I am at my wit's end as I have just bought a new gaming PC but cannot install my Steam*Valve games without access to my account.**I need Steam to contact me with a method to allow me to access my account.
This was especially frustrating because I followed their own reset instructions including entering verification codes which they sent to me and still the system would not allow me access.
They could make this right by contacting me after either (a) having already reset my password for me or (b) providing a step-by-step reliable method to let me regain access.
I have been a customer for ** years and expected Steam's system to cope with common task such as a password reset.
I have already tried the web site's reset instructions and phoned their phone number without success.
