I am reaching out for help regarding an unauthorized $5.00 pending transaction on my debit card with no transaction reference number on my bank statement. Despite following instructions by leaving a voicemail, I found the call unsettling for requesting my debit card number when addressing a potential fraudulent charge. I provided the last four digits as requested. Please contact me via email to promptly resolve and cancel the pending $5.00 charge from steamgames.com. Thank you, Suzanne Balch-Lindsay. Mastercard ending in [redacted].

I wanted to bring to your attention that there seems to be an issue with one of your accounts involving the conversion of physical gift cards into cash. I am unable to provide the wallet ID of the individual involved, but I do possess a few gift card numbers that may assist in locating the account. It appears that these individuals are using your platform to facilitate the illicit exchange of large quantities of drugs across state borders. I believe sharing one of the gift card numbers should suffice: 0CDN0-68LKC-XR5II, which corresponds to a $[redacted] gift card. In an effort to combat these unlawful activities, my father, a New Jersey State Trooper, suggested I reach out to you promptly to potentially close the account as any funds within it are likely proceeds from illegal drug sales. I acknowledge that Steam is not at fault, but I urge you to take a stand against such behavior to safeguard the integrity of your platform. I possess three additional gift cards totaling $[redacted] and can provide further details as needed. I can furnish more gift card codes or images of the cards and receipt upon request. An acquaintance of mine recently transacted for heroin with these individuals and used your services for payment. Seizing the opportunity, I retrieved the cards and receipt from his trash when he momentarily stepped away. Please respond to confirm your ability to address this situation. These actions are negatively impacting the lives of minors, and I am more than willing to assist in any way necessary. Feel free to contact me via email should further information be required.

I have recently been contacted by a user claiming to be Steam Support and I am concerned this might be a scam. The message informed me that my Steam Account is at risk of being restricted due to scam reports. It warned about disabling various features like purchasing, gifting, trading, cd-key activation, and Steam Community access. They advised transferring tradable items to a different account before a ban is imposed. It was also mentioned that changing my name/avatar frequently could speed up the account termination process. I just want to confirm if this is legitimate. The messages were signed by someone named Jared. Thank you.

Hello, I've owned BATIM (Bendy and the Ink Machine) on Steam since July. When Chapter 5 became available for free on Steam, I attempted to download it. However, I can only access it from the Chapter Selection screen, and therefore cannot save my progress. Whenever I try to play it continuously, it leads to a black screen and freezes. This prevents me from fully completing the game to access the archive bonus or use the item that reveals secret writing on the walls. I've attempted to resolve this by deleting everything related to Steam and BATIM and then reinstalling them, but the issue persists. This problem seems to be common based on the forums I've consulted. Thank you, Melissa M.

Hello, I bought Just Cause 3 approximately 20 hours ago and played continuously without closing the game. However, upon shutting down the game the next day, I discovered that it was unable to save my progress. I have already requested a refund, but it was denied due to the minimum playtime limit for refunds. I believe it is unfair to keep the payment for a game with such a significant issue without prior warning. I kindly ask for a refund to my Steam wallet so I can buy a different playable game on the platform. I have been trying to reach out to someone for assistance rather than getting automated responses that focus solely on playtime. My username is bigviper132, and my in-game name is motherhumper. I have been a loyal customer on your platform for over 14 years, spending a considerable amount of money. It would greatly disappoint me if I am unable to receive this refund for a flawed purchase. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I am seeking clarification on the software your company offers, excluding gaming. I have been approached by individuals offering me a position but insisted that I purchase $1,[redacted] worth of Steam wallet cards using three different credit cards (four $[redacted] cards and one $50 card on each). They requested me to reveal the codes on the cards by scratching them and send pictures of the entire backs of the cards. Unfortunately, I succumbed to this request and sent $[redacted] worth of cards before facing a denial due to suspected fraud on another card. They claimed these were essential materials for me to handle payroll tasks on a new computer they intended to buy for me. These individuals are associated with Bayer Corporation, claiming to provide employment. I have urged them to provide proof of my employment through Bayer, but they are evading this request. I want to verify if your software includes what they claimed and if you can install it on a computer that I already own. I was under the impression that this kind of installation was not feasible. I am suspending any further actions until receiving confirmation from Bayer regarding my employment status and association with them. Please advise me promptly as they are pressuring me to purchase more materials, such as Steam cards. Thank you, Kathy J.

Hello, I am experiencing a Duplicate Key error on Steam. The issue is associated with an Account that I cannot recall the login details or the email used for registration. Despite attempting to receive the email (last step when the Duplication error appears), none of my email accounts received it. It seems the email linked to the Account is also long lost. As the retailer where I purchased the game is no longer in business, I am unable to contact them as suggested by Steam. I possess the box version of the game and can provide relevant information and pictures to verify ownership. I refrain from sharing the cd-key for security purposes. I hope to connect with a Steam representative through official channels. Best Wishes, Krzysztof B.

Subject: Issue with RT3 Game on Steam Dear Support Team, I am reaching out to express my disappointment as a Steam customer regarding my recent experience with RT3. Despite purchasing the game last year and enjoying it, I encountered a frustrating error message, "failed to create directed device," when trying to play it again on my new computer. Despite my efforts to troubleshoot through Steam and the community, the issue persists even after reinstalling the game. Dishearteningly, my refund request was denied due to the purchase being over two hours old, with no additional assistance offered. I am writing to request a resolution to this matter, such as a refund, credit, or effective troubleshooting support to resolve the game's unplayable status. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Sincerely, M. Pickering

Hello, I'm reporting that my son's account was hacked and banned due to trading. Let me explain what happened. My son's account, Ghost Spartan 48, was initially linked to his Gmail, [redacted], before it was hacked and the email was changed. He was contacted by a user named Sifu IP Turkey Man on a popular game for a trade. After trading, this person asked for the Steam mobile code/2-step verification which caused my son's account to disconnect and go offline. Upon checking, we found that the account received notifications stating the phone number and email linked to the account had been changed, with the IP address 49.[redacted].16.17 (PH) indicating a location in the Philippines. We are from the UK and urgently request help to regain access to my son's Steam account as he has invested a significant amount of money into it. Requesting assistance to change the password and email associated with the account to prevent further scams. For further communication, kindly contact my son at [redacted] or myself at [redacted]

I'm having trouble logging into my account under [redacted] After attempting to reset my password multiple times, I am still unable to access my account. This issue has persisted for a couple of months, and I am frustrated with the lack of resolution. It would be greatly appreciated if someone could assist me in resolving this login problem promptly. Additionally, I am confused by the statement indicating that I need to solve an issue myself when I am seeking support. Can you clarify this for me? Thank you.

I unknowingly fell victim to a phishing scam through a website recommended by a so-called friend online. Believing I could acquire an AWP skin for Counter-Strike Global Offensive, I entered my Steam username and password. Later, a message from Steam prompted me to input a code for a new device, which was unfamiliar to me, leading to the unauthorized access of my account by the deceptive friend who swiftly changed all credentials. Despite my efforts to regain access through Steam support, I encountered difficulties as my username was unrecognized, and the associated email address was altered. Unable to recover my account, I sought assistance and discovered discrepancies when my cousin confirmed the retained username was not recognized by Steam support. With valuable skins worth over $[redacted] at stake, I am feeling increasingly frustrated. I urgently require help in reclaiming my account and would appreciate any available assistance.

I believe someone has taken over my account. The password and email have been changed, and my authorization has been removed. I suspect the account is now locked. I visited the account recovery page on Steam and submitted a help request. I provided all the necessary information, including plenty of screenshots of previous purchases and CD keys for my games. My friend experienced a similar issue a few days ago, and it took them around 4 hours to hear back from Steam support. However, it has been over 12 hours for me, and I am getting anxious. I just want to know if this delay is typical and when I can expect to hear from Steam support.

As a devoted Steam game owner and collector, I have come across a game on your platform that raises concerns. "Grand Theft Auto V" contains elements that potentially promote illegal activities like hijacking, making inappropriate jokes, and references to pedophilia. These content issues could have harmful effects on players, especially if they find humor or entertainment in such themes. I have spoken to a psychiatrist who emphasized that using illegal acts for personal amusement or providing them for others is not acceptable. I urge Steam to address these problems to ensure the safety and well-being of all players, especially children. Until these issues are resolved, I have decided to boycott using Steam and any games I have purchased. I trust that your company does not condone promoting international criminal offenses, particularly those related to pedophilia. I eagerly await your response and a solution to this matter. Thank you for your attention to this important issue.

Yesterday, I assisted my younger sibling in downloading a game, "Final Fantasy 14 Online," on Steam. Subsequently, we were directed to validate the account on the Mog Station website, where we encountered difficulties due to my brother forgetting his Steam login details. After multiple failed login attempts, we managed to access the Steam account for the verification code. However, the email with the code couldn't be found despite several checks. Suspecting an issue with the email itself, I changed the account email to mine and updated the password to avoid forgetting the login credentials. Post these changes, I found myself logged out of my Steam desktop app. Although I reset the password multiple times, I continued facing login errors, with messages indicating recent failed login attempts. Even after additional attempts on different platforms, including the Chrome app, and desktop app, I still couldn't access the games. The account username in question is "flamepython1." Your prompt assistance on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Hello. I recently encountered a concerning situation involving my PayPal account. Last week, I had trouble using my usual card for a payment. As I reached out to what I believed was PayPal's Helpline, I spoke to an individual named Ray. He advised me to purchase a $[redacted] Steam card and provide him with the activation number to verify my account through a third-party purchase. After reluctantly following this instruction on Nov. 28 at 1:38 pm, Ray informed me that the initial card didn't work and requested I buy another one. I grew suspicious at this point. Upon consulting the store clerk, who confirmed the first card had been used, I became more wary. Ray persisted in requesting more card numbers until I refused. The store recommended contacting Steam directly to learn more about the card's usage. This experience has left me feeling distressed as I cannot afford to lose money, especially during the holiday season as a single parent of four children. Can anyone offer advice on similar issues with PayPal? Your help is greatly appreciated. - A.

While trading with someone, we both agreed on the trade, and I promptly sent the offer. Within 30 seconds, I confirmed it using my Steam mobile app before they could respond. Even though the trade was clear in my sent offers, once they accepted, they took my items and blocked me without reciprocating. I believe Steam should require confirmation from both parties before altering a trade. This incident resulted in a loss of approximately $400CAD worth of skins, which is truly disappointing. I have screenshots of the trades and the user's profile to support my case if needed.

I'm encountering difficulties logging into my Steam account. After attempting to change my password, I continue to receive error messages stating "wrong password." Despite multiple password changes, the issue persists. Interestingly, I was able to successfully log in using my phone, which provided a Steam verification code. When I tried to log in on my laptop and input the verification code, the process restarted. Repeatedly, the system shows incorrect codes for Steam Guard, making it challenging to gain access. I've requested verification code emails, but the problem persists. This cycle of resetting the password and encountering errors hinders my ability to efficiently access my Steam account.

I am a professional Rocket League player and recently ran into an issue with accessing my account after clicking on a link from a friend to join a tournament. Unfortunately, my account got locked, and both my email and password were changed. This account is very valuable to me, both sentimentally and monetarily, as I have invested over $[redacted] in it. My original account name is theninjacatftw, and I use the names FishhR or hooray now. The passwords I have used in the past are lickghjk890 and Classified1702, with my current email being [redacted] I urgently need assistance to regain access to my account, as it holds great personal value since I have had it since middle school.

I was contacted on Steam by someone who discovered me through RustyPot.com. They offered me a position as a moderator on their gambling site, but requested that I trade away all my skins due to a risk of losing them on the website. After trading the skins to a friend and providing proof, the skins disappeared from both inventories. The trade history showed a transaction with "DarkSky tradeit.gg" instead of my friend's account "DarkSky," leading to the loss of most of my items. To resolve the issue, I recommend investigating DarkSky's tradeit.gg account history to retrieve the items and return them. I invested a significant amount in these skins and am eager to have them restored. Thank you for your assistance.

Around a week ago, I unexpectedly received a VAC ban on my account due to another account linked to my phone number. When I checked my alternate account used for casual play with friends, I discovered it was the one banned. I only had a brief 1v1 match with a friend a few days prior, not engaging with others. My account is clean, and I even use anti-cheats on Faceit and ESEA. Being a college CSGO player at Western Michigan University in tournaments, this ban is affecting my participation. A third-party, Zonner Bot, taking credit for the ban has left me perplexed. Shouldn't this admission warrant a review for unbanning? I'm struggling with no responses jeopardizing my team and being unable to access other paid games like Rust or play with friends. I feel trapped and seek resolution, emphasizing my plea for help. Steam account: DoubleZ8 with a distinctive black background and white Z logo. Any assistance to resolve this issue would mean a lot to me.
