I have requested a refund twice from steam support and had it denied. I am using the software program capturing reality for a PhD project. I am furious that there is no phone number to contact from the uk. I think it is immoral the company functioning on a recurring membership. This is the principle of much less savoury businesses and I find it appalling that Steam has resorted to this cut throat method of taking the customers money. I was denied a refund because it exceeded * hours playtime. You do not explain what this is. I haven't logged on to the program for over * weeks. I'm really angry at Steam's policy and am inclined to make a customer complaint to the consumer onbudsman. You so far have effectively robbed me of £** and you offer no way to dispute this over the phone. This is appalling customer service.
