Help with my Steam Software issue

Refund ... I purchased Elite Dangerous (with dlc) with the intentions of using it for virtual reality. Unfortunately after * plus hours of troubleshooting, tweaking, and searching for answers I could not get it to run the way I had hoped. * hours alone was simply not enough time to set up the game for virtual reality. I've been on Steam for * year please help out.
Virtual reality setup takes a long time. If it works. * hours isn't enough real world time.
