A year and a half ago, I received Fallout 4 Game of the Year Edition for Christmas and had a great time playing it. Recently, my computer broke, so I got a new one but found my game disk was damaged. I faced issues accessing my Steam account and realized I had two accounts, one under [redacted] and another under [redacted] I requested that my wallet and details be transferred to [redacted] I saw my DLCs on the old account but not the base game. I purchased a new Fallout 4 Game from Amazon, but when I tried to install it, I was informed the key was already linked to another account. I couldn't reach the seller, so I bought another disk. After a lengthy download due to slow internet, I discovered my DLC content was missing. After contacting Steam support, they confirmed I had no DLC content. I'm frustrated and hesitant to buy the game again. Dealing with this situation has been stressful, and I hope to avoid a similar experience with Skyrim.

I created a Steam account and enjoyed playing my two games for several months before my computer crashed and I had to reinstall Windows 7. Due to the crash, I lost my account details including my username and password. Despite knowing my username, I am unable to retrieve my password. After unsuccessful attempts to change the password, I decided to create a new account with a different username only to encounter the "invalid password" message. I have tried various password combinations without success. My original account details are as follows: Username - trentsteele327, Email - [redacted], Games played - Wolfenstein: The New Order and Wolfenstein: The Old Blood. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. --Michael White

Account Security Concern: I was automatically logged out of my Steam account due to an update and forgot my password. After several unsuccessful attempts, I got locked out. Although I changed my password using the "forgot password?" option, I still couldn't access my account. The next day, I tried to log in again with the new password, but it did not work. Concerned about being locked out, I attempted to change my password once more. However, when I checked, the associated email had been altered to an unfamiliar one. I suspect my account was stolen, as the individual who took it changed my username and location. Through mutual friends, I identified the person as being from Hungary and carrying out the theft on September 9, [redacted]. I have further details to confirm my ownership, such as past purchases, game library, and playtime. Kindly assist in recovering my account.

I fell victim to a scam and purchased $[redacted] worth of Steam cards, mistakenly believing it was my boss. Although I scratched off the codes on the back, I didn't send them via email as my boss contacted me before I could send them. I tried to return the cards to Walmart, where I bought them, but they refused due to the revealed codes and unopened packaging. The scammer attempted to contact me again at lunchtime, but I printed out the emails for evidence. I returned to Walmart within 10 minutes of purchase, spoke to a manager, and was advised to reach out to you for a refund either by phone or email. The manager mentioned you could verify the unused status of the cards through the store's manager to process the refund. I'm seeking assistance to recover my money following this incident that occurred today.

After closing out of Steam, I encountered an unexpected login issue when I tried to access my account again, leading me to reset my password several times before it was accepted. Unfortunately, upon logging in again, I noticed that my inventory of approximately [redacted] games had decreased to only 21 games. This is concerning since I had experienced a hacking incident before that took months to resolve. Given my age of 65 and disability, typing and spelling are challenging for me. I kindly request Steam to make an exception to their policy and contact me by phone for a quicker resolution. My login name is slingshot2122, and my name is Ken.

I am experiencing issues with playing most of my games on Steam. While there are a few that are working, the majority are not and I can't figure out why. I haven't changed anything recently, except for not using Steam for a couple of months. I've checked and ensured that my GPU and Windows are all up to date. I've also confirmed that my antivirus program includes all the games in its acceptance list, which should not be the problem since I have played them all before. However, for unknown reasons, none of my games are launching or downloading properly. Whenever I start a game, it shows "Syncing" and then stops. In some instances, the game opens but does not progress any further.

I purchased Cities Skylines but experienced issues downloading/installing it despite trying different internet connections. Restarting my computer and Steam did not resolve the problem. Clearing the download cache and attempting to delete the game were unsuccessful as well. I encountered freezing issues when trying to delete the game and requested a refund to re-download it. The refunded amount went into my Steam wallet, but there is a 24-hour hold on it, which is frustrating. I would appreciate a quicker access to my money to resolve this inconvenience. My account email is the same as the contact email. Thank you.

Hello, my name is Jonathan V. My issue is that during my military deployment, I purchased games from Steam that turned out to be incompatible with my PC. Despite trying to adjust the graphics settings, many games remained unplayable. When I attempted to request refunds for the unplayable games, I was only successful with a few. I am seeking refunds for games like Assassins Creed Unity and Syndicate, Call of Duty WWII, Contagion, Homefront, Just Cause 3, Left for Dead 1 & 2, Mafia 3, and Rising Storm 2: Vietnam due to their incompatibility and poor performance on my PC. I have not extensively played these games due to their issues on my system and am not trying to exploit the refund process but rather want a fair resolution for products that do not work well on my PC. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

A few days ago, my account was trade banned after an accusation of item duplication in Team Fortress 2. I encountered a glitch during the Jungle Inferno update while doing contracts for The Hot Hand melee weapon for the Pyro. I received a trial version first, then the permanent one, which should have disappeared but stayed in my inventory. Due to school and other distractions, I forgot to address it. A Steam Moderator named Fish informed me of duplicate items in my backpack, leading to my ban. To appeal, Fish requested a $50 Steam Wallet Gift Card. After providing it, he asked for a $[redacted] card for further verification, causing skepticism from my mother. Desperate to regain my account without affording another card, I considered using my Unreal Tournament 3: Black Edition CD key but failed to do so. I feel trapped as losing my account would mean losing precious games and connections.

I am unable to access my account as it has been locked by Steam Guard. The issue arose when my previous phone, where Steam Guard was set up, broke. Although I have since fixed the phone, it was sold to someone else before I could remove Steam Guard. The phone may have been reset by its new owner. The only information I have is my Steam username, email, and password. The phone number linked to my account is inactive, and I cannot recall the recovery details. I assure you this is my authentic account, and I have no intention to deceive. The email associated with the account is an old email address that I have used for many years. You can contact me via the email provided, which is also linked to my Steam account. Thank you for your assistance, and I apologize for the lengthy message. :)

I encountered someone going by the name "Zol 24/7 Buying unusuals" who switched their name to "LookAtMyChicken" and changed my account name from cynargos to "Darkahy Mastah" to deceive me. There is substantial evidence of his involvement in scamming me for my account. During a TF2 trade negotiation, when he requested item history, I faced issues accessing the recommended sites. We conversed on discord, where the chat history is preserved. He directed me to transfer my items to the marketplace, linked to my account, which I did, believing it would facilitate the trade. I naively shared my Steam username, password, email, and Steam guard codes, assuming he was trustworthy. Despite having photographic evidence and Steam wallet codes, showing my ownership, he changed the passwords for accounts "Rhinuspaladin," "DoctorVultrus," and "sovietunionrepublic." Although he couldn't change their associated email addresses, his actions confirm his involvement in account theft. On my stolen account, "Darkahy Mastah," he left a comment (+rep box 1 baby trader) indicating his intention to steal my account. I acknowledge my misjudgment in sharing this sensitive information due to my inexperience in Steam trading. I suspect "LookAtMyChicken" is not only a scammer but also an unscrupulous account thief, potentially victimizing others. I am eager to share the evidence I've gathered. Thank you for addressing this promptly.

Hello, I am here to ensure the security of my account. Today, my Yahoo email account was hacked. This was my first Yahoo email account that I have ever used. I suspect the hacker may attempt to regain access to my account in the future. Luckily, my Steam account is secure as I have a mobile authenticator. I urge you to disregard any messages from someone trying to recover my account. All my important information like wallet codes, personal details, and files are stored in my Yahoo account. Please carefully monitor any attempts to access my account and prevent the hacker from gaining control. Your assistance is greatly appreciated. Username: kylezkie11 Initial Email: [redacted] There is someone attempting to gain unauthorized access to my account. Kindly ignore any retrieval attempts on my account. Thank you.

I bought Black Desert Online, but I'm stuck because I never received the code needed to play. I reached out to game support and even tried logging in through Steam, but I still can't progress without the code. I've been struggling for days to resolve this issue with no success. The game vendor should have emailed the code to my Steam email, but I've received nothing. I'm feeling very frustrated. If I can't play a game I purchased via Steam, especially when they promise excellent customer support which I'm not experiencing, then what's the point of using Steam? I've been in touch with the vendor since Wednesday, trying to obtain the necessary code. My email on Steam is [redacted], as provided below. I hope to receive help soon so I can enjoy the game I purchased along with the expansion pack after playing the demo for seven days.

Hello, I purchased The Walking Dead: The Final Season around a month ago with high hopes for a classic Telltale experience and to see how the series concludes. Unfortunately, with Telltale Games laying off [redacted] employees and uncertain if they will complete the final episodes, I am concerned about the game's quality as they look for other developers to assist. Since the game exceeds the 2-hour playtime limit for automated refunds and it has been more than 14 days, I am unable to request a standard refund. Given the circumstances and my disappointment, I no longer wish to support Telltale Games and would like to seek a refund to my Steam wallet.

I fell victim to a $[redacted] scam using Steam cards in a well-organized internet fraud scheme. Unfamiliar with technology and disinterested in Steam, I was deceived. The Canadian government's fraud department is investigating this widespread issue that has affected many individuals. They advised me to reach out to inform you that your cards are being misused in similar schemes. I have all the card numbers and the physical cards. If there is any chance of tracking the misuse or recovering some of my lost funds, please assist. I urge you to keep this information on record, as this may not be the first instance you've encountered. Thank you. Veronica Vaughan

I recently tried to use a Steam-certified person named Geoffrey for item verification, but he ended up requesting 20 keys' worth of items for payment. I declined and then foolishly shared my username and password under the guise of account verification. Now, I find myself locked out of my account. After looking into it, I discovered this is a common scam where scammers pose as verifiers. Unfortunately, there seems to be no way to recover the items or account. I urge others to be cautious and never trust anyone who brings up item verification during trades. It's crucial to stay vigilant and avoid falling into the same trap that I did.

Hello, I am reaching out regarding an unjust ban imposed on my friend and me in CS:GO. We were banned for allegedly kicking too many teammates in recent matches. However, each kick was justified. In one instance on the map Office, a player requested to be kicked due to technical issues, which we did. In another match on Mirage, two players were not cooperating, with one even threatening to go AFK intentionally. Consequently, we removed them from the game. Despite this, I received a ban of 1 hour and 45 minutes, while my friend received a 7-day (now 6-day) ban, which we find unfair. Please review the games to validate our stance. I can provide my friend's email for further communication as he is currently away but keen on resolving this issue upon his return. Our sole request is to lift his ban. Thank you.

Over 50 members in the Call of Duty: World at War discussions have been experiencing harassment continuously for three weeks. The previous post, with contributions from 50 active WaW players, was unexpectedly taken down. Our community is dedicated to fostering positivity among WaW players and creating a reliable platform for LFG needs. We have invested significant time and effort into building a thriving community for players to connect and play together seamlessly. Our team is committed to offering an effective way for WaW enthusiasts to form groups and play together. We aim to combat the challenges faced by players when finding others to play with due to server visibility issues and cumbersome connection processes. We were unaware of the removal of the post with 76 comments and seek feedback to prevent such incidents in the future. We are dedicated to reviving the WaW player base and promoting a welcoming environment for all. Collaboration through Steam discussions, LFG communities, and PvP servers is crucial. One suggestion is to create a designated Looking For Group section in Steam discussions for WaW players to connect easily. We urge the WaW Steam Mods to consider implementing this feature to enhance the gaming experience for all loyal players.

This morning, I woke up to find that my Steam account had been hacked. The hacker somehow removed my phone number associated with the account, changed my password and email address, and even received a VAC ban on CS:GO before leaving. Fortunately, my debit card was not completely linked to the account, and my inventory wasn't extensive. However, I did have games worth over $[redacted] accumulated over 10 years. The account name is halodude23100 with the nickname Tay_TZH. The linked name was Rhien Gill, initially linked to [redacted] I'm ready to provide additional information if needed to resolve this issue promptly. Thank you, Rhien

On September 26th, I received a phone call from Ivy Williams claiming to be with a government agency offering me a $[redacted] grant. She requested a $[redacted] refundable tax fee to be paid using Google Play or Steam cards. I complied and paid $[redacted] with Google Play cards. Subsequently, Shawn Gibson from the Bank of New York asked for a $[redacted] transfer fee to process the funds into my bank account, paid with Steam cards. He mentioned delays due to many transfers in the system and assured me the funds would arrive by midnight. When they didn't, I was informed by the IRS that the funds were being withheld until I paid an additional $[redacted]. I refuse to pay more and am seeking a refund of the initial $[redacted].
