Around a year ago my account was hijacked and a game ban was applied to my account as a result of the hijacker's activity. This has aggravated me as a long time user of the Steam platform (* years) and having spent so much money on games it annoys me to have such a negative stigma attached to my Steam account. If you look around the date and time of the Game Ban you will see that my account's details had changed significantly, including the email and password, as well as the IP address used to access the account, before reverting back to the standard email and IP address that is usually used on the account. Normally, you might consider this to be my fault for allowing the account's security to be breached but the security was breached as a fault on Steam's behalf, as the hijacker only obtained my account by sending bogus information (as well as CD key I was tricked into activating) to Steam Support, and it was Steam Support who single handedly gave control of my account to this user. I understand that game bans are not the authority of valve but the game developer themself, and I understand you want gamers to experience fair play, but I am not asking you to remove the game ban entirely from my account. I am merely requesting that you hide the visibility of the game ban on my steam profile from anyone else so that they don't have the prejudice that I am a cheater when it was not my own fault. Please make the game ban invisible on my steam profile and I'll be forever grateful, even if you keep the game ban enforced on my steam account. *Thanks.
