While playing Rust, I was approached by someone offering to trade CSGO items. They convinced me to go through a process, including a screen share to check the items on a website called OPskins. Eventually, I had to confirm something via email for OPskins while on screen share. Unfortunately, the person had previously seen my Steam username and managed to reset my password using the "forgot password" feature. By accessing my email, they obtained a verification code to change my password, alter the email address, add a phone number, and set up a Steam mobile authenticator. The scammer's details include their Discord name as ranwoodison#[redacted] and their Steam profile under the name ranwoodison, showcasing an inventory worth over $10,[redacted].

Ticket HT-GB6N-BQ7P-22WP was closed by me to contact you. I am requesting a refund for a product on Steam that I have only played for 3 hours and 43 minutes. However, most of this time was spent trying to get the game to work due to login issues, crashes, and poor performance, leaving me with only about 30 minutes of actual gameplay. Despite meeting the minimum system requirements, I have been unable to play the game properly. I have noticed that refunds have been granted to players with over 30 hours of playtime on this title, and I believe I am entitled to a refund due to the faulty nature of the product. I urge you to grant me a full refund. Thank you for your assistance.

I recently fell victim to a scam involving one of your members who convinced me to purchase multiple STEAM cards totaling $[redacted] for a fake government grant scheme. The scammer insisted that STEAM cards were the only way to receive the grant funds and that each card could only hold a limited amount. Despite purchasing the specified cards, the funds were not successfully transferred, leading to more purchases and false promises of reimbursement. The communication with the scammer lasted from 3pm to 10pm and took a disturbing turn when inappropriate actions were committed while waiting for the fund transfer that never occurred. Upon realizing the fraud, I discovered that the card balances had been redeemed. I am reaching out for assistance in tracking down the scammer and taking legal action. I have all the necessary card details for investigation and will report this to the Federal Trade Commission to prevent further scams. Your prompt attention to this matter would be greatly appreciated.

It has been a few years since my husband passed away, and I wish to access his Steam account to play some of his games. Unfortunately, I have forgotten the password and do not recall his email. His account name was StalinsSoldat. I have tried the account recovery option, but it says the account does not exist, even though I know he spent a lot of time on it. I created my own account in recent years, but I would really appreciate being able to access his account for our son to see the games his father enjoyed playing. If any proof of his passing is required, I can provide it by fax. I would be grateful for any assistance in helping me reconnect with the memories of what my husband loved to do in his free time.

My Steam account was hacked on June 10th at 21:44 Europe time. I received a message from a friend during a game of Rocket League claiming I won a Titanium White Octane. Skeptical yet intrigued, I checked my "friend's" account and it appeared genuine. Trusting the connection, I proceeded cautiously by Googling the website instead of clicking the link. Despite finding no warning flags, I logged in only to have my account swiftly compromised. Within seconds, three notifications confirmed my phone number, mobile authenticator, and email were all altered. Valve's email disclosed the hacker's IP address in Moscow, Russia. Steam's lack of support leaves me turning to you for assistance. I am prepared to provide billing details and specific account names as proof of ownership. A prompt resolution is greatly appreciated.

This morning, I woke up and sat down at my computer to play games with a friend. I received a message from someone that led me to a CS:GO trading website when clicked on. The site prompted me to log into Steam, and after entering my credentials, including the authenticator code, I clicked "ok." Unfortunately, the site kept loading for about five minutes, so I closed it and tried to access Steam to play. However, I was asked to log in again, and even though I entered my details correctly, I received an error saying my username or password was incorrect. I reached out to Steam support and noticed multiple emails indicating that the authenticator had been removed and my phone was no longer linked to my account, despite me not initiating this change. I am really hoping to regain access to my account, so any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I fell victim to a scam by a Steam user, losing many skins without receiving anything in return. The conversation I had with the scammer occurred through Discord and Steam. The scammer, using the username LT, pretended to be a reseller interested in buying my Rust items. They offered to pay via PayPal or wallet codes, insisting they were trustworthy and showing fake proof of past transactions. LT provided a fraudulent Steam trade link and convinced me to send my skins first before payment, ultimately leaving me empty-handed. The Discord chat shows how LT manipulated the situation, offering overpay deals and rushing the trade to catch me off guard. This experience serves as a cautionary tale to always double-check before agreeing to any online transactions.

I recently tried logging into SkinMafia for the free skin offer, and due to always being logged into Steam, I had to reset my password as I couldn't recall it. However, once I reset it and logged in, I found myself locked out. This might have happened because I accidentally deleted my authentication mobile code when resetting my password. I was trying to access a free skin subscription for Counter-Strike on Steam, and since I usually auto log in through Steam, I had trouble remembering my password for the browser login. I resolved this by resetting the password, but in the process, I removed the authentication code from my phone, causing issues with the new password. I am now completely locked out without a working password. Additionally, I received an email from Steam stating that my email was changed by a computer with an IP address from (RU) [redacted].[redacted].[redacted].[redacted]. Unfortunately, my account is now locked, and I have exhausted the maximum number of recovery attempts. I am seeking assistance in recovering my account. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I purchased two games, but upon logging in for the second time, they stopped working. Despite trying to reach out to Steam support, I found it difficult to contact them. The support provided limited help, only offering preset questions. This experience leaves me feeling like games are being sold to me, a Disabled Veteran, with issues arising after the first use, seeming suspicious. The lack of assistance and the feeling of being scammed is concerning. If the support does not address this, I will inform fellow veterans about the company's questionable practices to protect others from similar experiences.

Today, when trying to log into my Steam account, I encountered difficulties as it didn't permit access. Following this, I attempted to reset the password using my email address, only to be informed that the email address was not associated with the account. Upon entering my account name, Sm1ttenK1tten, a different email address, 2*******@r******.r*, appeared, which does not belong to me. It seems my Steam account has been compromised, with the email linked to it changed or transferred to the hacker's email. I am confident in entering the correct credentials and have saved old Steam messages in my email linked to this account. I suspect someone unauthorized accessed my email previously, as they infiltrated both my Steam and League of Legends accounts. I am puzzled why my original email, [redacted], is not recognized by Steam. I request assistance in recovering my account and resetting the password. Thank you for your help in advance.

I purchased BigFoot for my son, but unfortunately, it is not compatible with Mac. The information about this restriction was not clear on the purchase page, and I regret not requesting a refund within the initial 14-day period. When I first asked for a refund due to our inability to install the game, I received a standard response citing the 14-day policy. After reviewing Steam's refund policy, I learned that they may consider refunds beyond the 14-day window on a case-by-case basis. Despite reaching out a second time to explain our situation, I received the same automated response. I am unsure how to proceed to have a human review our case for a potential refund. The lack of notice regarding Mac compatibility during the purchase process has left us unable to use the game. I believe refunding the purchase would be a fair resolution so my son can choose a game he can play. As a result of this experience, we have shifted our game purchases to Xbox One.

I am in the process of setting up a site license agreement for 13 Steam accounts for our new VR arcade. One account has already completed the agreement process, but I am now unable to view the commercial pricing for it. The company is Artcycle, Inc. Additionally, we have created 13 Steam accounts for the gaming stations, loaded games using Springboard VR-issued steam keys, but are facing challenges when trying to complete the site license agreements for these accounts. I have explored various solutions without success so far.

I tried to log in to my Steam account but received a message saying my password was invalid. When attempting to reset the password, it informed me that my email was also invalid. The password recovery displayed an email linked to Yahoo, which I am not familiar with as my email is not public for safety. I suspect my account has been hacked as the email and password were changed. I have bought many games on Steam and enjoy playing them. I would appreciate assistance in resolving this matter so I can regain access to my account.

I accidentally purchased an additional copy of FF14. With the help of chat support, I managed to access my game again. However, Steam erroneously refunded the wrong copy after I requested a refund for one of them. They refunded the version I spent over [redacted] hours on without confirming with me or verifying the CD key. It has been almost four days since I could play FF14, which is time I have paid for. I am hoping to receive compensation for the inconvenience and loss of game time until Steam resolves the issue and restores my FF14 account. The longer this situation persists, the more compensation I will expect until it is resolved.

I have requested a refund twice today for my account [redacted] and have been denied both times. I am frustrated by the company's lack of concern for its customers. I purchased a game recently, and while initially playable, my household computers now cannot run it properly due to severe lag. The lag impacts my ability to react in real-time, ultimately making the game unplayable. Additionally, the game crashes every thirty minutes. Although I understand the company policy only allows refunds within the first two hours of gameplay, the issues I am experiencing did not arise until after this period. I am seeking at least a partial refund as I have spent eight hours in the game due to the lag slowing down my progress. If Steam cannot assist me, I will reconsider making future purchases through their platform.

My son bought Fallout 4 on Steam, not realizing it wouldn't work on our computers. We tried on his laptop and desktop but couldn't get the game to run. When we requested a refund due to this issue, it was initially denied because it showed gameplay hours that never happened on the computers. We explained the situation and tried again, but the automated response showed even more hours played, which were actually on an Xbox, not the computers. Getting a refund has been difficult, especially now that we would have to buy the game again on Xbox. I'm hoping there is a way to track gameplay by IP address to verify our case, as we shouldn't have to pay twice for a game we can't play. I'm open to providing any necessary access to the computers for verification purposes. My Steam account is nightwolf2017kh. Thank you for any assistance you can provide. Sincerely, Renee H.

My account isn't connected to my login name because of its age. As it's been 14 years, I can't provide a CD key for the game. All I need is for you to link my username to the email address you have on file so I can recover my account. I'm not requesting anything free, just asking for the linkage that should have been done years ago. Instead of rushing to close this ticket, can I please get some real assistance?

I recently received a call from an unknown number claiming to be from the government offering me a $9,[redacted] grant due to being low-income, young, and living independently while attending school. They mentioned they were affiliated with the ARRA (American Recovery and Reinvestment Act) and stated I was selected, along with 1,[redacted] others in my state, for this grant. They explained their use of Steam cards, mentioning a partnership with Steam to support the less fortunate. I fell victim to this scam and now face difficulty paying my rent. I seek assistance on how to potentially recover the money by providing the gift card codes and receipts. Additionally, I am eager to prevent these scammers from targeting others. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

My 11-year-old daughter requested that I buy the game Raft through Steam. We have bought numerous games on Steam before and have always been satisfied. Unfortunately, Raft didn't work properly. Being 11, she didn't realize the time limit on the refund policy and only told me about the issue today. Steam denied the refund request due to the 14-day limit, even though the game was only played for 27 minutes, mostly in failed attempts by my daughter. I'm not seeking a refund but kindly requesting a one-time exchange to the Steam wallet. I would be grateful if you could reconsider this issue. Thank you, R. L.
