Hello. I am sorry to write a message here with a bit of upsetness, but I am very upset. I called and spoke to someone from SPG customer support about my account ** minutes ago. Long story short, it seems that my account (created in ****) was canceled and Chelsea, the representative, advised that I needed to create a new account.**I went onto both Marriott.com * SPG.com to create a new account, and I received on both sites the following message: "We're sorry, but it's not possible to join Marriott Rewards on Marriott.com at this time. Please try again later. Thank you for your patience."**In an effort to help with a reservation I would like to make this week, I called customer service again to ask for help with this issue. I spoke with a man named Daniel who was very rude. When I told him that I couldn't sign up online and I was getting the error, he rudely told me that there probably was a system outage. I was going to ask if he could check and if there was no email to the representatives telling them that there was an issue with sign ups, but before I could finish, he rudely huffed and puffed on the phone, sighing loudly, and HUNG UP ON ME!!!!!!**I am trying to make a reservation with a hotel this week. I am upset that my account from **** was canceled without a message letting me know why. I am upset that the customer service was absolutely awful and I am even more upset that signing up is very complicated!! I am a full-time travel blogger*writer and I must say, out of all the loyalty programs, this has to be the most difficult-- even to (re)sign up!!**Please help. I am about to go elsewhere.**Thank you, thank you, thank you.
