I've filed my claim. There are ten days left on my contract.*I've checked the closest description of the problem.*in the menu. 'Dim picture or fluctuating brightness'.**This is information a repair tech will need to work on my Vizio HDTV.*If I need to send this to another department, please let me know.*I have a new phone number: ***-***-*****---------------------------------------------------------------------------------****LED Array Changes Gradually & Randomly**I'm a home theater nerd and a photographer*I use the Disney WoW Disc to optimize my picture settings**I have no special features active.*No room light dimming or local dimming, or anything else.**My Vizio E***i-B* has two modes 'watchable' and 'Superb'.*The 'superb' is very much better but it only shows up about***% of the time. It is usually one or the other when I*turn it on. Sometimes it fades while I'm watching.*I never know which it will be when I turn it on.**I've eliminated other factors, changing connections and bypassing my*sound system. I've even tried plugging it into new receptacles.*It's the same with USB, cable, streaming and BluRay.**I haven't seen this written about as a problem on the internet. I've asked a local TV repair man about it. He hasn't heard of it.*It never drops or rises suddenly. I get the great picture about two or three random days a week.*I can be watching a BluRay movie for a time and notice it looks less vibrant than when I started.**I can tell just by the built in graphics of the display and the flash when a Bluray is*loading that the light output is very much greater when its correct.**I think has to be the LEDs or something that controls and sustains the LED array.**It shows a little wear, but the picture when it's right would strike anyone as*amazing. BluRays can look *-dimensionsal.*A calibration with a set-up disc that I've done recently makes the lesser picture better but it's no match for the superior version-- especially with BluRays.**I've observed on the black screen while working on it with with the test patterns*in the 'low mode' that the darkness is uneven, lighter top and bottom, darker in the middle.*When it is 'Superb' the screen looks lighter but perfectly even. Could some of the rows*LEDs be dimming?*I've worked on it for days to see if I could compromise it & live with it. But clearly something is defective. I want that beautiful picture all the time.**I may have years of service left on this set if this can be fixed. My contract is getting short.*It ends Sept *rd. I hope it can be fixed in time.
