Dear ******* **I need immediate help. I opened a Square account on the advice of the event and ticketing platform I am using, Accelevents, to take payments for tickets to my virtual event on May **th ****.**We launched sales through Accelevents.com on Thursday May **st at approximately **:**am PDT.**At aprox *:**pm, we started getting HELP messages from customers who's cards had been declined. Square had stopped accepting payments, not informing us of any problems. When I called at *pm, I was told it was going to the team to look at and they'd call back or email in ten minutes. I called back ** minutes later and was told it would take ** hours. When I pleaded that this was a crisis, and I was being bombarded with messages, I just launched and was losing sales, the customer service woman said she'd do her best to flag as urgent. I received an email at *:**pm saying my account was suspended, my funds would be held for ** days, NO REASON GIVEN. When I called, I was unable to speak to anyone.** **The two main issues are:**I need to know immediately if there’s a problem with our transactions. Whether it’s an account problem or a problem with our *rd party ticketing service – security, data breech, other – I need to know immediately so I can correct that. The vendor says the issue is not on their end.*the funds Square is withholding are needed to pay for the event.* **I am a single mom, trying to start a new business in these times of pandemic. Square is 'holding' my funds which I need to produce my event in ONE WEEK. They have given me no reason or any way to contact them for more information and resolution.** **Would you please help? **I am sending this letter on to my Congressman, and the CA State Attorney General, as well as calling their offices.**Thanks so much,*Patricia Tallman
