The issue in GetHuman4870776's own words
I was in discussion with a person on Instagram about the purchase and delivery of a puppy. The price I was offered for me was $***. We agreed that I would pay half of the money before receiving the dog and pay the other half when I receive it. When we went through the process of documentation and delivery the seller told me that there was an additional fee for documentation this additional fee resulted in me having to send an additional $*** to him so that he could process the shipping. I follow through With the shipping payment and then everything seemed like it was good to go. When I woke up this morning I was sent an email from the supposed shipping company giving me the airline information for the dog and telling me that there was an insurance fee of $**** that I would need to pay to have the dog shipped to me. I was told that the dog was held at the airport and would not be moved until the payment was made. In the email it also told me that I had an hour to make the payment. After receiving this email at * o’clock in the morning I called the shipping company from their listed number and the person would not really help me. He told me that even though I wasn’t the one shipping the package that I had to pay this insurance fee or the puppy would not be sent to me and it would stay on hold. We went back-and-forth arguing and then eventually the person at the shipping company hung up on me. I then got in contact through the Instagram message with the seller and his attitude was the same way. He kept trying to guilt-trip me saying that the puppy was going to die if I didn’t spend this extra money when I had already spent $*** over with the listed price was. After further discussion I just asked the man for a refund. His response was that he had already spent the money and that he would not be able to give me a refund of more than $**. Ultimately I was scammed because I called the airport about the issue and they said that the airline that was on my tracking number does not ship animals and that the animal wasn’t there and that I was being scammed. All I want is my $*** refunded to me. I would really appreciate it if I could speak to a person about my issue. I have screenshots of the entire conversation and I have phone records from calling this supposed company and I have screenshots of the tracking information and the tracking number for the dog and his documents.
