Sprint did a promotion of IPhone **. The promotion stated if you had an * or above IPhone you could take it to any Sprint Store and get an upgrade free of charge with no monthly payments, etc. for an IPhone **. I took my phone to the Sprint Store in Capital Heights Maryland. I went three days in a row and the store was out of phones. Store Manager Travis asked me to return later that week, he would hold a phone when it came it in. I returned Saturday ***** - spoke w*the manager Travis again. His assistant proceeded to transfer*download information from my *Pluse IPhone to the ** IPhone. Once information had finished being transferred from one phone to the other Travis mentioned the promotion had stopped and I would have to pay for the phone. I was already late for work because the transfer took long. I needed my phone. I paid the monies asked approximately a little over $*** (however, I also purchased a phone cover and screen protector). I mentioned to Travis I didn't think it was fair I pay for the services and phone because I had come in several times while the promotion was going on. He instructed me to phone *** and explain. I called immediately leaving the store on *****. The gentleman I spoke with spoke with his manager and it was concluded I shouldn't have to pay for the phone and the monthly lease price because I had gone to the store several times while the promotion was on. He instructed me to return to the store and have the Manager Travis contact NSS. I did Sunday, the next day. While there Travis was assisting a customer and I waited approximately ***** minutes. I believe that's an extraordinary amount of time to receive assistance. I politely mentioned I had to leave and would it be okay for me to return after work Monday at approximately *:** PM. Travis mentioned the store would be closing at *PM and asked me to call him the next morning (Monday) and he would contact NSS. I did as instructed and phone Travis at **:** AM. Travis mentioned he had just gotten into work and asked that I hold. I did for approximately ** minutes. I then dialed him from a friends phone, he answered and I asked why would he keep me on hold so long. He mentioned he was with another customer, didn't want to call me back, and he was going to pick up soon. I asked couldn't he have requested I call back later than keeping me on hold. He was pretty annoyed I questioned his manners and began to curse. Using expletives such as I said I was busy, I'm here by my "f*cking self - you don't need to f*cuking ask me questions - who the f*ck do you think you're talking to...." I said "Travis you're cursing at me - you cursing in front of customers?" He said "I don't give a f*ck about Sprint - you don't question me....." He then hung up the phone. I called back and said "you hung up on me? All I'm trying to do is get the promotion that was promised" (Please keep in mind he still had me on hold on my office phone.) He then asked "what exactly do you want?" I explained again about the promotion - mentioned I would walk back my office - *** feet away and we could talk because I was using another person's phone. He said that was okay but when I walked back to my desk he had hung up. I didn't call him back but later he sent a text saying "we had gotten cut off and would I return his call." I explained I was in a meeting and that perhaps we should talk about it another day because tensions were escalating. He then asked "what do you want again and I don't think there's anything NSS can do about the phone. I mentioned again it was a promotion and Sprint should honor it. He did not return the call. I then phone Sprint Customer Care - explained the situation to Dion. He mentioned the promotion was NOT over and it doesn't stop until November *th, ****. He also instructed me to go to another Sprint Store, explain what happened and they would most likely change the phone. I did not go another Sprint store because I've been the store in Capital Heights at least five times with no results and at this point I feel I should be accommodated because I've done everything Sprint said do. Travis later sent me a text mentioning he was on the phone with NSS, they had him on hold for a long time and he still could not resolve the issue until they picked up. He also said he would come in the next day (his day off) to take care of the situation if it had not been taken care of that day. I responded and mentioned "perhaps we should talk another day because tensions were high, I didn't think he should come in the office on his day off for me." He did not respond nor did he call later to update the status. I forgot to mention earlier I had spoken with a supervisor over the phone - she mentioned she could not do anything to honor the promotion because I had not turned over the IPhone * Plus. I mentioned they wouldn't take it when I started the service although I was told my phone was in mint condition. I also said I would be willing to mail the phone in if I could receive the promotion Sprint was giving. She said I had to return the phone to the store. At this point I don't want Sprint's service. I'm about to report Sprint as misleading customers, false advertisement, and belittling to customers*consumers. I explained to Travis what I wanted: A "free" IPhone ** when I turned in my *Plus, no service charges or contract or lease options as the commercial*advertisement mentions. I also would like to have the activation fee waived as promised when I called *** on October **th asking them to make a notation so I could continue to be eligible for the promotion until the phone were at the store. That operator said she would and would waive the activation fee charges because I had been to the store and several others and neither had the phones. I agreed, proceeded to do all of the above and all of the above happened.
