We were traveling on ****** from PBI to BWI and then onto ALB on flight ****. Both my husband and I were signed up for wheelchair assistance. When we arrived at PBI we were promptly give wheelchairs and pushed into the area to await our boarding passes and get our baggage checked.We were early so we were in the front of the line.The counter was not open yet but in waiting the line grew and there were many people waiting to check in. We sat there and sat there and no one approached us . We were basically ignored. We felt like we were invisible. We asked for help from on attendant who was busy helping other people including others in wheelchairs. He said the others were there before us and we never saw him again. We were getting quite anxious by then as it was getting late. A woman attendant came over to help us. She was abrupt and started the process. She mistakenly charged our luggage for the * of us to my name and charged my credit card $** for having an extra bag. There. we're * bags for the * of us. She had to right the mistake and it took more time. All the while her attitude was annoyance. Finally we began our ride to security and to boards the plane. She complained that she worked hard for us and that we should" be good" to her. My husband didn't want to give her any tip but I said to give her something. When my husband took out his money she saw he had single dollars on top she said, " Her mind, you don't have any money" and walked away.. My husband and I were shocked at her behavior. The whole system didn't work . It was the first time we had ever asked for assistance after travelling with Southwest for many years. We, in this case , felt abandoned and abused. We , as senior citizens are discouraged about travelling with assistance. I felt you should know about this situation and feel we should be compensated,. Rosemary Billy
