Good morning, i booked a flight with southwest a few months ago and had to cancel my flight due to an emergency but i had flight credit. Now i am trying to book a flight for january **** which is two months after my exp flight credit expires (nov **, ****). I contacted southwest and they told me i would have to wait til November **, **** to extend it out for another * months which is when i can apply the flight credit to my new purchase BUT they will deduct $*** from my remaining balance of my current flight credit. I’m not understanding why that is even an option when i paid full price of my flight tickets as well as why i can’t book now and apply the flight credit for my future purchase. I don’t believe that is fair service at all because I’ve already paid for my former flights with no deductible and because something happened where i had to cancel my trip, I’m still getting my money taken away and giving free money to an airline. I would like to talk to a manager in regards of a refund back to me without having to apply any money*credits to southwest at all. I’ve been flying with southwest for years as well as my wife being a loyal member too. I hope to hear from someone soon. Thank you!
