I need to obtain a new ID since my driver's license expired many years ago due to struggles with depression. At 65 years old, managing major depression has been challenging, causing me to neglect renewing my ID and not being able to work during difficult periods. I require a Social Security card to apply for a new ID, along with a doctor's diagnosis. I am now feeling more capable and eager to make a fresh start by relocating and seeking employment, but obtaining the necessary documentation seems overwhelming. Despite resistance due to my hearing impairment, family, friends, and doctors urge me to pursue Social Security benefits. Currently, my doctor, who is located far away, may fax an official letter confirming my diagnosis to expedite the process.

My son, Tyler, has recently been diagnosed with schizophrenia and needs a conservator to ensure his safety, basic needs, and financial security. When we called, we were treated poorly and hung up on after waiting for over an hour. Tyler's conservator is his father, who has not fulfilled the necessary duties to care for Tyler. Tyler is unsure if he is receiving social security benefits. Additionally, Tyler's birthdate is incorrect, he lives in Tracy, and his father, who is homeless, is unresponsive. It's challenging to verify information when the representative doesn't listen. We urgently need to know about Tyler's benefits as he has nothing, and I have a fixed income.

On July 1, [redacted], I updated my bank information with the Social Security Administration. Due to fraudulent activity, I had to close my old account. Unfortunately, my benefits are still being sent to the fraudulent account, which is causing me serious financial distress. I have received an eviction notice and lost my primary means of communication - my mobile phone service. Without timely payment of my bills, I am facing the risk of becoming homeless come August 1st. This situation is urgent, and I need immediate assistance to resolve these issues.

On July *, ****, I submitted new bank details to the Social Security Administration after closing my old account due to fraud. Despite this, my benefits continue to be sent to the fraudulent account. This situation is putting me at risk of eviction, as I received a notice and even lost my phone service today, which is crucial for communication. I fear becoming homeless if I cannot pay my bills on time starting in August, as I relocated to a new apartment with a $*** deposit. I urgently request to receive a paper check in person at the local office to prevent any further delays. I put in significant effort daily to manage my SSDI case, documents, health, appointments, and mental well-being, and I hope for a more professional handling of my situation by the SSA. I stress the importance of sending my bank information promptly to prevent recurrence of this issue. I look forward to your prompt resolution and communication of the solution to all affected customers.

I am currently residing at the Salvation Army in Macon, GA and require assistance with housing. I have outstanding utility bills that must be settled for me to secure housing. I wonder if there is a way for me to access the remainder of my lump sum check to clear these bills. I received the first part of the check around the end of June or early July [redacted], which I used for temporary accommodation and necessities while waiting. Unfortunately, I faced rejection for an apartment due to the overdue bills. Now, I am also awaiting feedback on my food stamp application. I need help urgently as I currently lack a permanent residence. My location is [redacted] Broadway, Macon, GA [redacted].

I received a voicemail from an individual claiming to be from the Social Security Administration, stating they had suspended my social security number due to suspicious activity. They requested I press 1 to learn more. As the call went to voicemail, I did not press 1, and I believe it to be fraudulent. I wanted to report this incident so that others are aware. Even if I had answered the call, I would not have pressed 1 due to my suspicions of fraud.

Medicare's new contractor, QIO (Quality Improvement Org), has made it difficult for individuals to electronically submit a complaint about the quality of care. While the purpose of QIO is to address these issues, the process involves mailing in a paper form or navigating a cumbersome phone system. Despite efforts to raise concerns with the US Senator and receiving conflicting responses from Kepro QIO and CMS, the submission of complaints remains antiquated and inconvenient. The current protocol involves printing an online form, signing it, and sending it via mail. The ongoing back-and-forth between Kepro QIO and CMS has led to frustration due to the lack of progress in streamlining the complaint process. The challenge persists in modernizing these procedures to enhance accessibility and efficiency for individuals seeking to address care quality issues.

The Payment Center is currently holding onto my disability benefits. My name is Pablo Mendoza. I've visited the Lubbock, TX office four times, which involves an 80-mile round trip each time. Despite bringing in all the required paperwork as requested by different representatives, my benefits are still being withheld by the Payment Center. Each visit ends with them acknowledging that my case has been reviewed, only to shift blame to the Payment Center for the delay. I am seeking information on the manager responsible for handling my case at the Payment Center in Lubbock, TX, as well as their contact details. I am desperate for assistance after a 2-year wait.

I have a concern regarding a friend, Julian R. Garcia, born on October 16, [redacted], who has had money deducted from his checks for the past two years due to an unreported 3-month hospital stay. The repayment duration should have been shorter, around 4 to 5 months. His monthly payment was about $[redacted], but recently, it was reduced to $[redacted], causing financial strain to cover utilities. Julian feels compelled to accept the incorrect payment due to Social Security claiming an old overpayment as the reason. I seek assistance in identifying who is withholding money under the pretext of a resolved overpayment issue. Julian resides at [redacted] Spinnaker Drive, Unit 1, San Jose, California [redacted].

My social security payments are currently behind by four months. Social security confirmed receiving the necessary paperwork, but they have not taken any action to process it yet. I have visited the local office several times and made multiple calls to the SSA without any progress. This delay is jeopardizing my ability to pay for my home. I have always received my payments via direct deposit without issues, except for this delay due to a break in school attendance during the summer. I urgently need to receive these payments now.

I have been trying to get a question answered at the Provo, Utah SSA office, but despite visiting in person and calling, I have only been told to wait a few days. However, after two months, I am no closer to a resolution. I need assistance with my case as I have missed a deadline due to their lack of response. Time is of the essence, and the local office's constant requests for more time are not helping. I require someone to actively work on my case and provide me with the answers I need urgently.

I am a disabled US Army Vietnam veteran named Stephen T. Braswell. Recently, I discovered that my son, James H. Braswell, had his health insurance canceled by his mother without informing us. He has incurred medical bills amounting to over $[redacted] from November. I co-signed a loan for his car and engine rebuild, totaling $13,[redacted], and can't borrow more. His mother hasn't financially supported him since he started living with me at 18. I covered his expenses other than car insurance, phone, gas, and car payment. I'm struggling to handle his bills as well as mine. Any advice would be appreciated.

I provided the information as requested, including the temporary password sent by the SSA Agent. Despite entering my user name and the temporary passcode, I was still unable to access my account. Subsequently, I supplied the additional information required but encountered the same error messages mentioned before.

My friend needed help setting up my Social Security account to file for retirement. Due to typing errors, we got locked out after multiple attempts. I believe the issue may be that his SS card displays his full middle name, while they ask for an initial. We are unsure how to unlock the account and proceed without visiting an office, as transportation is difficult for him.

I have been informed that my benefits cannot be received currently, and the Jackson, MI office is consistently issuing payments despite no changes in my disability status. I have unsuccessfully attempted to reach the Jackson office three times regarding a missed December payment, and Ms. Davis has not returned my calls. This situation has resulted in overdraft and late payment fees due to automatic bill deductions. It is unfair to incur approximately $[redacted] in extra fees over the last three months. When can I expect to receive my check this month?

Last night I fell victim to fraud and mistakenly gave out my social security number and birthdate. I have already filed a police report and contacted all three credit bureaus. I am concerned that the fraudsters might attempt to redirect my social security checks by changing my address. How probable is this scenario, and what additional steps should I take to safeguard my information? Do I need to change my bank account number for my direct deposit? Should I consider applying for a new social security number given that 12 hours have passed since the incident occurred? I am eager to find a swift resolution to this matter.

I received a letter informing me about my new benefit amount, stating that it will increase by 1.6%. Currently, I am receiving $[redacted] monthly plus an additional $[redacted], but now they will only be providing me with $[redacted]. Even though it mentions an increased benefit amount, my benefits are actually being reduced. I am puzzled by this change, especially since I already have Medi-Cal and do not need Medicare. The decrease in benefits puts me in a challenging financial situation as I am barely managing with less than $[redacted] per month. The new amount of $[redacted] per month will not be sufficient for my monthly expenses. What steps should I take to address this issue?

In [redacted], my Aetna healthcare plan covered my Medicare. I decided to switch to UnitedHealthcare for [redacted], but my application was denied. At the same time, Aetna informed me they would no longer cover my Medicare. I have two questions: a) Does this mean my Medicare won't be covered by any healthcare plan now? b) How can I resolve this and find a new healthcare plan to cover my Medicare in [redacted]? Thank you for your assistance. Cong Tran

Hello, I'm Candice M. I previously inquired about my case, which I believed was being processed. Shockingly, I discovered that the law firm I contacted might not have submitted my disability application or could be a scam. The staff member I spoke with assured me that she would delete my existing online account and advised me to create a new one to reapply. I've been holding the line for over 37 minutes. Is there any way I can receive guidance on accessing my ssa.gov account to proceed with my online application?

I am the Power of Attorney for Verna May Fetzer. On November 18, [redacted], her husband passed away (Louise Joseph Fetzer). Both were residents of the US and moved to Canada. Service Canada sent a letter to your office on February 7, [redacted], for death and survivor benefits. She has only received a copy of the death certificate so far. Mrs. Fetzer received her regular S.S. cheque until April [redacted] but has not received any payments since. It appears there may have been an overpayment for Mr. Fetzer after November [redacted] that needs correction. I am unsure if the Social Security numbers got mixed up, causing this issue. Please advise me on what I should provide to your office so I can talk to someone on her behalf to resolve these matters. - William South
