Hello! I need assistance because my Snapchat account was unexpectedly locked. I had tried the beta version of Snapchat, decided it wasn't for me, then reinstalled the original app. When I went to log in, I received a message stating my account was temporarily locked. Despite not violating any policies, the app shows it's temporary while the website suggests it's permanently deleted. Yesterday, on the 17th of December, my Snapchat account got hacked. I noticed it when I woke up and saw that I was logged out, which was unusual since I never shared my account details with anyone. Upon trying to reset my password, I found out that it was changed. When I checked my email, [redacted], I saw that someone had altered the password using a link from Snapchat at 5:20 AM. Today, I woke up to numerous messages from my friends alerting me to explicit content being posted on my Snapchat account. I received an email notifying me that someone accessed my Snapchat account while I was asleep. I couldn't change the password in time, allowing them to update the email and phone number. Someone messaged me from my friend's account, pretending to be them. They asked to use my account for a prank on their sister, offering $40. I agreed, but they then messaged my friends, pretending to be me, asking for $50 for bills to avoid being kicked out. They changed my account email, and although I changed my password, they locked me out by changing it again.

I deleted my previous Snapchat account around six weeks ago and now I'm trying to recover the memories stored in it. Unfortunately, I cannot log back in as the time window for recovery activities has lapsed. When I deleted the account, I did manage to download all the account data, but I wasn't aware of the restriction on accessing memories from the link provided. I have encountered a distressing situation involving two individuals on Snapchat pretending to be my husband and his friend. The person pretending to be my husband made inappropriate sexual advances, solicited photos, and even attempted to sell me.
