Hello, I am reaching out because my wife recently purchased a used Smith & Wesson Bodyguard [redacted] from Cabellas for our personal protection and concealed carry needs. Unfortunately, the laser adjustment tool that should have come with it seems to be missing. I have searched various stores in Wichita for a small hex wrench but have had no luck finding the right size. I am hoping you can assist me in obtaining the necessary tool, even if there is a charge for it. The model of the gun is the Bodyguard, and while I am not certain of the serial number, the Cabellas receipt lists a "gun ID #[redacted]," and the gun itself is stamped with "#EBW6306." Please send the tool to us at the following address: Steve and Sheri Alexander P.O. Box [redacted], Oxford KS, [redacted]. Thank you and have a great week!

My brother-in-law David J. Russell Sr., a dedicated gun enthusiast since childhood, will be inducted into a prestigious Hall of Fame in October after years of participation in shooting conventions in Illinois. As he is the 13th person in a century to receive this honor, I am looking for a fitting gift to celebrate this achievement and show him my admiration. David not only married my sister at a young age but also took on the responsibility of caring for his siblings and raising his own children, despite facing tragic losses, including the death of his eldest child. Now in his seventies, he continues to care for my ailing sister. His selflessness and resilience deserve recognition, and I am proud to have him in the family.

I recently purchased a new M&P full-size 9mm, and I am disappointed with the trigger pull of 14 lbs that requires me to depress it all the way to the rear. I also received two defective magazines with the gun. This is not the first time I have experienced this issue with a Smith & Wesson firearm as my previous purchase, the Bodyguard, had a similar trigger problem. The fact that the pistol made it through manufacturing testing surprises me. I sent the pistol back for repair last week, and I was informed today that it will take at least 4 weeks for the repair to be completed. Considering this situation, I would appreciate it if a refund for the purchase could be arranged instead. Despite having owned multiple S&W handguns in the past and currently owning 7, this experience has made me hesitant to consider buying another one in the future.

I recently experienced a concerning issue with my Smith & Wesson Model 19, .[redacted] magnum. While firing a standard [redacted] grain .38 special round, the barrel unexpectedly split. Thankfully, no one was hurt during this incident. Since the firearm is designed to handle .[redacted] magnum loads, it was surprising to encounter this problem with a .38 special round. This revolver has been my favorite out of many firearms I've owned, dating back to when it was gifted to me by close friends upon graduating from the NYC Police Academy. It has been my trusted companion, especially during hikes in bear country and encounters with wildlife like the Mountain Lion. Despite the sentimental value and fond memories attached to this weapon, I am considering repairing or replacing the barrel, although gunsmithing costs may be significant compared to purchasing a new or used revolver, maybe even a Colt as a humorous alternative. Any guidance on getting my Model 19 Combat Masterpiece back in working condition would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, I am a passionate Smith collector, particularly fond of rimfires like the model [redacted] revolver. I am curious why the new 8-shot model was not upgraded to a -3 version. This has impacted the value of my three [redacted]-2's which used to fetch $[redacted]-$[redacted] but are now valued at $[redacted]. Were you unaware of the existing [redacted]-2 model in the market? Usually, there are engineering changes in reintroduced models, so this oversight is frustrating. Thank you, William from Iowa.

I recently purchased an S&W M&P Bodyguard .[redacted] with two magazines, one flat-bottom and one with a slight grip extension. Both magazines are loaded with 6 rounds of Speer Gold Dot 90 GR personal protection ammunition. The magazine with the extension fits perfectly with the slide open and closed. However, the flat-bottom magazine only seats with the slide open and when loaded with 5 rounds instead of 6. When I try to insert it with 6 rounds and the slide closed, there is a gap of about 3/16 of the silver metal showing between the grip and the mag's foot. I've inspected the slides and field stripped the gun multiple times, but the issue persists. Any suggestions on how to resolve this?

Dear Sir or Madam, I recently purchased a S&W Governor .[redacted] six-shot pistol and used Fiocchi brand .[redacted] 2-1/2, 1/2 oz., 8-shot shells. However, after firing the first round, the remaining shells shifted out of the cylinder chamber slightly towards the hammer, causing the gun to lock up. I contacted Tech Support, who recommended trying other brands like CCI, Winchester, or Hornady. I seek advice on why Fiocchi shells are causing this issue and which brand is best for the S&W Governor to prevent it from happening again. I would appreciate your expertise and guidance on this matter. Thank you. Best regards, Rod W. [redacted] [redacted]

I recently purchased a Smith & Wesson M&P Shield 9 M2.0 pistol from Fort Carson Exchange Store in Colorado Springs. It came with two magazines, one with a 7-round capacity and another with an 8-round capacity. However, when using the 8-round magazine, the last 2 bullets consistently get stuck and cause the gun to jam at the range, making it difficult to clear the chamber. The 7-round magazine functions without any problems. I am hesitant to visit a gunsmith for a new firearm. What should I do in this situation?

I have a [redacted] with the large dovetail adjustable rear sight. I am looking for replacement night sights, as I couldn't find them for this specific model. Do you offer night sights for this firearm or just sell them for a gunsmith to install? Thank you for your help.

I am contacting regarding RMA#[redacted] for the Model 29 Outdoor Package & Finishing Revolver High Bright Polish, Serial#DRV0547. I bought this pistol brand new from a vendor and only fired 20 rounds to test its accuracy. However, upon receiving it, it looked like a used gun, prompting me to send it back to you. I shipped it via FedEx on June 14, [redacted]. After calling on October 4, [redacted] for a status update, I was advised to contact Scott in two weeks. Despite leaving a message on October 20, [redacted], and following up with another call on October 23, [redacted], I have not received a callback. In an effort to check the status, I am now sending this email on November 7, [redacted]. I suggest that you notify customers via email when the pistol is ready for repair to reduce the waiting time. Currently, the wait time of 4-6 months before repairing, as per company policy, seems excessive. Your prompt attention to this matter is appreciated. Thank you.
