I am experiencing an issue with my Skype account. I might have accidentally deleted my Microsoft account. While Skype is working fine on my iPhone, it's not recognizing my details on my iMac. I attempted to create a new account on my iMac, but now the Skype name has changed, causing confusion. I've had my original Skype account for years, but recently, I received a message from Microsoft prompting me to inadvertently cancel my Microsoft account. This action seems to have impacted my access to Skype. After unsuccessful attempts to sign in on my iMac, I reactivated my Microsoft account, leading to a creation of a second Skype account with overlapping email, phone number, and password details. I only wish to remove the new account without affecting my longstanding one. Unfortunately, the new account doesn't display my full Skype name, hindering my ability to delete it. I'm wondering if there might be a hidden window showing my complete Skype name to resolve this issue.

I recently noticed a $10 charge on my credit card for Skype service, which is set to automatically add funds when my balance drops to $2. This morning, my balance was $11.52 when I attempted a call, which failed, leading me to leave a short 8-second message. After the call, my balance decreased to $11.44. Subsequently, trying the same number caused my balance to drop to $11.36 after leaving another brief message. I am concerned about the charges, as I remember signing up for Skype with a rate of 2.3 cents per minute, but now I see I was charged 16 cents for two 8-second calls. I would appreciate clarification about the current call rates. It is frustrating that there is no phone support available to address these inquiries.

I am concerned about not having a phone number for customer service. My mother and I share a [redacted] Home Office subscription. Recently, when a client requested a Skype business call, my mother used my account unknowingly. Now we are being charged $2.99, but we are unsure why. We want to: 1. Keep our accounts separate. 2. Remove and backdate the $2.99 charges as the account wasn't used. 3. Establish a Skype business account and receive assistance setting it up, preferably over the phone. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, CHarles

I recently updated my Skype to version 8.25 before the old one expired. I could video call my family in Italy successfully, but I'm having issues connecting with my relatives in Chicago. Only a U.S. representative mentioned there's a system problem related to email that needs time to fix. Support from Microsoft in India and the Philippines, despite given case #[redacted] by the American rep, couldn't resolve it. I've changed my password as prompted and my Skype name is ~ninno1216~ with email [redacted] and phone [redacted]. Feeling frustrated, I hope for a solution soon. A V. Battaglia. P.S. It would help if Skype shared updates about internal issues for users to stay informed and patient.

My Skype number, ([redacted])-[redacted], has been blocked, and I have been unsuccessful in recovering my account. It appears there is a fraud investigation ongoing as I noticed a charge of $13.99 on July 13, which I did not authorize. Despite having a credit of $33.76 in my account, I do not understand why my Visa card was charged. The inability to access my Skype number for over three weeks has significantly impacted my business. I kindly request the prompt restoration of my number. I am willing to update my payment information during the investigation. Your swift assistance in resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Roland C. Ashby Sr.

For the last year, our group has relied on Skype for our weekly calls with 4-8 members. Initially, we could easily add incoming calls to the group using the "Add to group call" function. Unfortunately, this feature seems to have disappeared, and we are struggling to find a way to add incoming calls to our group. Our current Skype version is 8.29.0.50. As a temporary solution, I have switched back to Skype Classic (version 7.something) to regain this feature. However, Classic is no longer supported and may stop functioning soon. Your assistance in resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Lately, I've noticed Skype becoming less reliable. I have a recurring call every couple of weeks, which used to go smoothly. However, in the past few months, I've encountered issues like not hearing the ring when being called, missing calls without any indication, and not being able to answer even when the phone rings. Despite calling back, my contact doesn't receive notifications of my calls or messages. I hope Skype can address these problems so that the service functions as effectively as it did before. Thank you.

I am incredibly frustrated with Skype. After spending two hours chatting with a very helpful support team member, I am still struggling to close two old accounts - Chris Reade - Build IT & Chris Reade WV. I made the mistake of using temporary phone numbers for both accounts and now have no way to access them. Despite my efforts to restore the accounts, I have been unsuccessful. These accounts need to be closed immediately as they show up in searches and I cannot log in. I am appealing for assistance to resolve this matter promptly as I prefer not to speak to another help desk representative. If my issue is not addressed adequately, I am prepared to escalate this matter to the relevant authority. While I understand the importance of security measures, the current situation is causing unnecessary complications. Thank you for your understanding. Chris

I am seeking assistance to recover my Skype ID: Qunlay1. Despite multiple attempts, I have been unsuccessful in persuading Microsoft/Skype to release my account. The technical support officer I worked with was unable to resolve the issue, even after gaining remote access to my laptop. My Skype ID is linked to an old Microsoft account that I no longer have access to due to it being associated with my previous employer's email address. I have been using this Skype ID for over six years and cannot bear the thought of creating a new account now. Unfortunately, I have forgotten the password for my security email address: [redacted] I initially signed up for my Skype ID using my personal email address: [redacted] If anyone needs to verify my ownership of Skype ID: Qunlay1, they can reach me at +[redacted][redacted]. I urge them to reach out to my recent contacts to confirm my ownership. I am upset by the challenges I am facing in validating my ownership of the Skype ID, and I hope for a resolution soon.

During Skype calls, when prompted to press * for certain options, the touch tones are not being transmitted. This issue has occurred on multiple calls to various phone numbers, preventing the call from being routed correctly. To resolve this, Skype needs to update its dial pad to produce standard electronic pulse tones that are universally recognized by computers. It is crucial for Skype to thoroughly test these modifications before deployment to ensure functionality. Expedited attention to this straightforward programming adjustment is requested, as it could be completed within a day. Thank you for addressing this matter promptly.

I'm encountering an issue with Skype regarding resetting my password. Initially, Skype requested an email to be provided using a template to [redacted] for sending a password reset code. However, despite entering that email, Skype did not send the code there, instead prompting me to input the code without success. I then tried my Gmail address which did receive the code, allowing me to reset the password. Nonetheless, after resetting, Skype did not accept the new password and repeated the process, insisting on using the email address that wasn't receiving the code. I'm unable to offer a different email or phone number, but even if I could, Skype might still block access to my account even with the correct password reset attempt.

Dear Community Members, I am reaching out for assistance regarding a payment issue concerning recharging my Skype account. I need assistance with a Skype account issue. I've had a Skype account for years under the name "jill.gaisford1", but one day, I was prompted to create a new account when trying to log in. This resulted in my contact list being deleted, causing frustration. I started using the new account named Elise Gaisford and added a few contacts. Recently, I received a notice about one of my accounts being closed due to inactivity, freezing the funds. Now, I have funds split between two accounts and I want to merge them. It's been a confusing situation, and I'm hoping to have just one account with my original contacts and combined funds promptly. I would appreciate it if someone could help me resolve this matter efficiently.

Hello, I am experiencing difficulties with my Skype account. Some contacts show as offline when I try to video call them, even though they are online. Strangely, when I make calls, they appear on the recipients' end under my daughter's email address, not my own. I'm unsure why this is happening. I attempted to fix it by reinstalling Skype on my computer, but the problem persists. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you, John S.

My Skype account was hacked on Friday night, October 12th. The hacker changed the primary email address and used my debit card to withdraw money from my bank account. After my bank alerted me and Skype notified me of the email change, I immediately changed my Skype password, canceled the card, and the bank is in the process of refunding the fraudulent transactions. My Skype account was subsequently deactivated due to the fraudulent activity. I did not authorize these transactions and the only money taken was deposited into my Skype account. I rely on Skype for international business calls and urgently need my account reactivated. I have submitted two reports seeking assistance. My Skype name is rhinoruth. Your help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I am currently subscribed to a monthly plan that includes unlimited calls to the US. However, I am experiencing issues with making any calls despite my plan not expiring until the 24th of this month. To try and resolve the problem, I followed Skype's suggestion to add $5 to my existing payment, but this did not restore my service. I am requesting an immediate $5 refund for the additional charge. I also need assistance on how to make calls to the US and find out my Skype phone number for others to reach me. Any help in resolving these issues would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your assistance.

I recently created my first Skype account. When I tried to log in, I received a message stating that my account ([redacted]) had been temporarily suspended due to possibly sending out spam or violating the Microsoft Services Agreement. The message instructed me to verify my identity by providing a phone number to receive a verification code via text message. Despite trying different phone numbers, including an online service and my wife's number, I received an error each time without explanation. This issue does not occur with any other text messages for me. Is there a solution to bypass this verification process in my situation?

I recently created a Skype account and when attempting to log back in, I received a message indicating that my account was temporarily suspended due to suspicious activity. The message informed me that a verification code would be sent to my phone for security reasons. However, after entering my phone number, I encountered an issue with the text message delivery. This problem does not occur with other messages. Is there a way to resolve this issue and regain access to my account?

During a group call, an image sent by Person A to Persons B and C reappeared unexpectedly on Person A's screen. The image resurfaced even though Person B and Person C did not resend it and were not actively using their computers. The occurrence seemed to be unexplained as the chat window was closed at the time. Person A heard a notification sound and saw the image suddenly displayed on their screen, while only Person B and Person C's cameras were visible. This puzzling situation raised questions about how the image resurfaced without any action from the recipients.
