I am a senior and given the present condition and cautions of the COVID lockdown, I have relied on online orders. In this case I had a Skechers gift certificate of the value of ***.**. On June *th I tried ordering a pair of Skecher shoes online and inquired if I could use the certificate. On June **th I received an email from a person by the name of Noreen (Skechers USA Canada In. Consumer Affairs) replied explaining that they would provide me with a one-time code to use on their website for my order but first they need to *. A photo of the gift certificate front, *. A photo of the back of certificate and *. Shipping Address. All of which I promptly provided on June ** of ****. On June **th another email came through from Danica M. (Skechers USA Canada Inc.) with instructions to *. rip the gifts certificate into pieces, *. take pictures of the ripped pieces of the gift certificate and email the photos to them. I did exactly that and sent the requested photo on June **th. There were no replies. I did follow-up emails on July *th, July *th, July **th, August *rd. Finally I did received an answer from a no name of the Skechers USA Canada Inc. Consumer Affairs, stating they have created a discount code ******* to the value of the certificate of ***.** off a single order to be placed on www.skechers.com*en*ca to include standard shipping. I was thrilled to receive this and acknowledged receipt of this code and thanked them profusely on August **th. On August **th, the next round of problems began when I tried to put through my order to include putting in the one time code provided and the "Place Order" function would not work. If left it for a while to allow for web IT functions to be adjusted at the company's end but after a *nd and third attempt, I still could not "Place Order". By August **st ****, I sent another email help requesting. September *th, I placed another email requesting assistance to no avail,where I included screenshots to point out the areas on the order screen to help clarify.*On September **th I received a reply Skechers USA Canada Inc. explaining that PayPal maybe the issues as follows: "Sometimes, there may be a connection error between Paypal and our website that does not allow the order to be completed. Therefore our best suggestion is to complete the order with another form of payment such as Visa, Mastercard or American Express. This usually helps to complete the order accordingly. Hope this information is of help to you". I proceeded as directed on this last email and still could not place order in whatever card I used. I sent yet another email help request. AT this point September **th being extremely frustrated that after following all instructions, attempting to place my order several times I am now left with no gift certificate to use in stores that are now open where I could possible be able to purchase in person at a future date. I am aware the dangers that this nasty COVID ** Pandemic has caused for all of us and even in one of my emails requested a replacement hard copy gift certificate to the original value be mailed to me that I might use in the future when I can get out to the stores. I feel this whole issue could have been handled so much better than this. *Thank you. I sincerely hope you can help me as I have no other recourse in this matter. Linda Cooke
