My online EI status indicates that further information is required before processing my claim. I contacted the provided number, 1-[redacted], three weeks ago as instructed, but my status remains unchanged without any EI payments issued. I've been attempting to reach them again via phone for approximately a week. Unfortunately, my calls are either disconnected or a message informs me that the call volume is too high to take my call at this time, requesting me to try again later. Currently, I am on hold using the number 1-[redacted] in hopes of resolving this issue.

I applied for EI benefits due to being laid off because of Covid-19. I submitted my claim online on March 17. Upon checking my account, I noticed that some payments were processed, but I haven't received any money. Upon revisiting my account, I found a message indicating a hold on my payments due to an address issue. My current address on my record of employment matches my actual address, not my mailing address, possibly causing the problem. I have been unsuccessful in reaching a representative over the phone for the past three days to address this. I am hesitant to modify my account without guidance to avoid further delays. Is there a way to escalate this issue for resolution via email?

Hello, I applied for Employment Insurance (EI) on March 15 due to being sick. I submitted a report with a code and my account details, but the status shows that my report was not processed and a decision was finalized without my input. When I try to access the EI report, it prompts me to provide more information and call 1-[redacted], pressing zero. However, after calling daily for two weeks, I am unable to get through as the phone system redirects me to different agents and then informs me that they cannot take my call. I have not received any financial support besides the initial two thousand dollars. It has been since March 15, and I am unsure of what information EI requires from me to proceed. My workplace is closed, I am out of work, and in isolation. I desperately need guidance on how to move forward as I am unable to file reports or apply for emergency assistance. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

My wife was recently terminated from her job after being on stress leave for a month. She has her own family doctor, while I have a different doctor. Her doctor placed her on stress leave due to the stress of her sister's cancer, her father's stroke, and my hospitalizations from complications of multiple sclerosis in [redacted]. Adding to this, she was let go from her job in December [redacted] and received severance pay equivalent to three months' salary. In addition, she has made multiple attempts to contact the CRA, but her calls are consistently disconnected after several minutes.

I need assistance regarding my EI claim. I applied for sick leave due to pregnancy-induced hypertension back in May [redacted]. Despite providing multiple medical notes and fulfilling all reporting requirements, my claim was somehow changed to paternity leave, erasing my sick and maternity leave. My daughter is only 9 months old, and I should still have 15 weeks of maternity leave remaining. I have spent countless hours contacting Service Canada without a resolution. Due to this error, I am facing financial difficulties and struggling to provide for my children. I am reaching out for help to correct this situation and receive the benefits I am entitled to.

I am a Canadian citizen named S.Y., aged 70, residing at 10 Serenity Court, Scarborough, Toronto. I have no income and returned to Toronto on September 30, [redacted]. I am reaching out as I require assistance with my OAS and GIS applications. After submitting a service request for an appointment at Service Canada Scarborough Town Center and providing my contact details (phone: [redacted], email: [redacted], [redacted]), I received a call for an appointment on October 26 at 10 AM. Unfortunately, upon arriving, I discovered the office was closed with no prior notice. I urgently need to proceed with my OAS and GIS applications to ensure my financial support in Canada. I kindly request a confirmed appointment with a Service Canada officer at the earliest convenience.

Hello, I'm Evelyn T. I have been diligently trying to apply for EI insurance benefits, but my Service Canada account still shows "under review". I have been unemployed since Sept 6, [redacted], and have been submitting my reports weekly. Due to the new regulations on my open work permit, I am struggling to find a job because of the pandemic. Applying for EI is my only option for financial assistance. I desperately need help to pay my bills as I am currently facing financial hardship after 3 months of being without work. Thank you.

Last Saturday, I encountered an issue with my EI internet reporting which ended with a request to call a representative. I believe this occurred because I was outside of Canada from November 29, [redacted], to December 5, [redacted]. Despite attempting to reach the representative by phone, I was unsuccessful. I require assistance to finalize my EI reporting. Thank you.

Dear Service Canada Official, I am Ying-ying Chen, a non-resident of Canada. On October 16, [redacted], I sent my Application for Canadian Old Age, Retirement, and Survivors benefits via priority mail. I have not received any response yet, prompting me to reach out to you through this message. I encountered difficulty creating a My Service Canada Account (MSCA) online as it requires a code for EI, CPP, or OAS. Since I did not contribute to EI and CPP between [redacted] and [redacted], and in [redacted] while working in Canada, and only applied for OAS in October, I lack these codes, hindering my MSCA setup. I desire to track the progress of my application submitted two months ago. Kindly confirm the receipt of my application and provide any updates on its status. Additionally, may I request a code to successfully establish my MSCA online? Thank you for your assistance. Best regards, Ying-ying Chen Email: [redacted] Phone: [redacted] (cell)

I have been struggling to get all my IDs in the same name. I was born Tracy Lee Ann McKay, but my mother remarried when I was 3 and enrolled me in school under her new husband's name, Ash, without legally changing it. This resulted in me having different names on my SIN card and health card. Although this was not an issue in Ontario, when I moved to British Columbia, it caused complications in getting a BC Care Card. After changing my name at the bank to Tracy McKay and updating my BC Health Card, I now need assistance in updating my SIN card to match. Your help is appreciated.

Yesterday, I learned that my GIS has been cut, meaning I will only receive $[redacted].76 for the next year, while my rent is $[redacted].14. It appears that my [redacted] earnings, combined with the CRB, exceeded the normal threshold. In the past two months, my bi-weekly federal aid has been halted as Canada Revenue now needs more detailed documentation such as invoices, bills, dates, and customer details. Instead, I've been submitting a ledger for the recent periods as I run a cash-based business and can't provide other paperwork. With fewer customers due to COVID, I'm now below the poverty line. Is there a way to resolve these unexpected issues?

Since October [redacted], my husband has been in care, and our funds were depleting rapidly. We were not aware of the additional supplement available for those separated due to circumstances beyond their control. Upon discovering this, I applied and was relieved to find out that we qualified. In February [redacted], the supplement was granted, with an increased allowance and retroactive lump sum payments deposited in my SCU account on February 14 ($18,[redacted].12) and March 2 ($14,[redacted].59). However, a new concern has arisen. The lump sums in [redacted] unintentionally inflated my reported income, resulting in a significant increase in the expected monthly payment for my husband starting August 1st. This appears to be an error, possibly on my accountant's part, as the lump sum was meant to be retroactive to [redacted], not impact my current income. I am seeking guidance on whether my situation is already part of an appeal or if further information is required. Unfortunately, I have misplaced the details that would have accompanied the direct deposits. Can you please resend this information to aid in my appeal efforts?

I am concerned about an experience with a doctor I recently had. During my last visit, I made a light-hearted comment, and it seemed to have escalated the situation. The incident resulted in the police coming to my residence with the doctor's secretary and a family member, leading to the confiscation of my belongings. I am feeling overwhelmed and in need of guidance. Please feel free to contact me at [redacted] to discuss this further. Thank you for any help you can provide.

Hello, I am Sharon M. Gosnell, aged 62, currently receiving a pensioners' allowance of approximately $[redacted] per month. Due to my heart condition requiring medication like blood pressure and blood thinners, I am unable to work a full-time job and can only manage a part-time position for 4 hours. Despite trying, I have been unsuccessful in obtaining disability benefits because I am deemed not disabled enough. As a result, I find it challenging to cover my bills with the limited income from CCP, even with the support during Covid-19. I am interested in exploring options to access my full Canada Pension Plan amount instead of the allowance. Please reach out to me with any relevant forms or information regarding my situation. Thank you for your assistance. Best regards, Sharon M. Gosnell [redacted]-[redacted] Quatsino Blvd. Kitimat BC, V8C2N5

Around two years ago, at the start of the pandemic, my boss assumed our workplace would have to close and issued us layoff numbers to help us apply for unemployment benefits promptly. I followed the instructions and applied, even though I continued working throughout the pandemic and still do. Strangely, I received an unemployment check from the government, which I never cashed or deposited. I tried to return the check and inform them of my employment status, but now I've received a letter demanding repayment. I need to clarify that I never used the money, as I have been consistently employed.

To Whom It May Concern, I applied for a passport on March 23, [redacted], at a regular Service Canada office. The staff processed my application, and I was provided with the file number RR12830. I inquired about the status of my application online two months ago but have not received a response yet. Attempts to contact the passport information phone number have been unsuccessful as they have not been taking calls for several months. Living in rural BC, the nearest passport service office is [redacted] km away, making it impractical for me to visit. Despite losing my passport previously and submitting all required forms and payment, I am unable to get an update on my application. Visiting a non-passport Service Canada office in Nelson, BC, in June proved unhelpful as they were processing applications from March and April. Feeling frustrated with the lack of progress, I discovered a "Submit a complaint to the passport office" option on the Service Canada website. I am contemplating filing a complaint to seek resolution to this ongoing issue. Receiving my passport is my main objective, as I have faced multiple delays and incurred additional fees due to changing departure dates. Any assistance in expediting this process would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Sincerely, S. B.

Hi, I am from Pakistan. I applied through an IRCC registered lawyer who goes by the name Mr. Thomas Abraham. However, I have doubts about his identity. I recently received my LMIA, but I'm unsure if it's genuine. I suspect someone might be trying to scam me using the lawyer's name. Can you please help me verify this urgently? The NOC number is [redacted], a four-digit code. He sent it to me via WhatsApp, not email. I have already paid him $[redacted] CAD, and now he is asking for $[redacted] CAD more for accommodation and utilities. What should I do if it's not real? Can I proceed with the process or should I stop?
