I, N. Jones, had a Kenmore HVAC unit installed at my residence on 05/27/[redacted] by a subcontractor, Gary Deal’s Heating and Air at 7 Ashley St. Sumter, S.C. [redacted], phone: [redacted]. I've had (3) Sears Home Warranty technicians, Alan and Frank Lariscey, visit for service calls. They pointed out issues with the installation: damaged thermostat wiring, leaking drainpipe causing cabinet and floor damage, misaligned blower, unconnected ductwork, and potential carbon monoxide leaks. I am requesting a new HVAC unit installation by Frank Lariscey Heating and Air in Augusta, GA with necessary repairs to the cabinet and flooring.

I bought an item on Sears.com to pick up at my local hometown store, order number [redacted]60. Unfortunately, the item fell apart on its first use. The return policy requires me to return it to a Sears store, not a hometown store. Since the nearest full-line Sears store is three hours away, I am unable to make the trip to return the item. Even though the hometown store attempted to help by processing a return, the item was paid for with SYW points, so I may lose them as a result. Despite returning the item on 6/10, I received a reminder email to return it by 6/17. This experience has left me feeling frustrated, and I plan to shop locally moving forward due to the inconvenience of dealing with Sears.

Concerning the service call with reference number [redacted][redacted], scheduled on 06/10/19 at [redacted] Sagestone Dr Dublin, OH [redacted] to address an issue with a GE dryer button: A technician named Nathaniel evaluated the dryer, stating that the button could not be ordered separately, and the entire panel needed replacement for around $[redacted]. We opted out of the new panel but were charged for the service call. Nathaniel did not inspect the dryer or the panel. After Nathaniel left, my spouse examined the panel and found that the button had simply detached and could easily snap back on. If Nathaniel had checked, he would have noticed this and resolved it quickly. This level of service is unacceptable. I am requesting an immediate refund of the service call fee. Despite contacting various numbers provided by Sears, emailing [redacted], and chatting online with a customer service representative and supervisor, I have not received proper assistance, and each person transfers me to another department.

I recently made several purchases including a new dishwasher, range, shed, and microwave, but unfortunately, I had a poor customer service experience. It was frustrating to find that the only contact option is an automated corporate number, and when I did manage to speak to someone, they were located offshore. Customer service seems non-existent, and the time wasted outweighs any potential savings. Even after five days, I'm still on hold. I advise against wasting your time dealing with this company.

I was assisted by technician Kenneth on 6-11-[redacted] for an issue with my AC. I paid a $[redacted] deductible using a check number [redacted], but it did not process on the machine, so I voided the check. I then paid with my credit card. However, I saw duplicate $[redacted] charges on both my checking account and credit card statement on 6-12. After a frustrating call with the billing department on 6-14, I was told to contact the refund department, but had trouble getting through. However, receiving a call at 7:30 informing me of a potential 12PM delivery or earlier caused frustration as it conflicted with my plans. Coordination between the delivery team and notifications must be improved to avoid inconveniences like this, whether through accurate timing or advance notice for such changes.

On Sunday, June 16, in the early morning, we discovered water under and around the refrigerator, which concerned us. We suspected an ice jam or a partially closed freezer drawer issue. The alarm only seemed to be for the refrigerator. Later that evening, my son noticed the food in the freezer was thawing. We planned to call in the morning. At 9:20 on Monday, June 17, we contacted Sears about the issue. The representative confirmed our warranty and connected us to the warranty department. Presently, it is 10:01, and I have been on hold for 40 minutes.

I experienced a double billing issue with Sears Home Services on June 11 for my AC repair. I tried calling [redacted] for two hours, being transferred from department to department. I have had four technicians come to my home to install the compressor included in the warranty I purchased on 05/21. Despite taking four days off work, I have been informed each time that the ticket was scheduled incorrectly for diagnostic purposes, not the necessary installation. I have incurred significant costs due to these errors. I spoke with a supervisor, Andres G., on 06/15, who assured me of expedited service. I request confirmation that a technician will install the parts requiring [redacted] minutes and that there will be no charges, as per the warranty. I have been without a refrigerator for four weeks, impacting my family. I urgently seek a resolution from management and assurance of corrective action. One of your repairmen suggested buying a new fridge, displaying questionable integrity. I demand a prompt response confirming the repair appointment and service quality.

We recently bought a microwave and an oven but decided to switch to another brand, so we canceled the order to get a refund. The purchase was made using our debit card, but the funds have not been refunded yet. Initially, we were informed it would take 14 to 21 days and that a check would be mailed to us. Unfortunately, even after the 21 days, we did not receive the check. Upon contacting customer service, we discovered that the check had been sent to the wrong address. Despite several follow-up calls, the issue remains unresolved, with the prospect of waiting another 14 to 21 days for the situation to be rectified. It's frustrating to be penalized for their error, especially considering we made a new purchase in anticipation of the refund.

A Sears technician came to fix our Kenmore washer on June 18, [redacted]. He initially quoted a repair cost around $[redacted]. When I wasn't present, my wife handled the payment. Upon my return, I learned that the total bill had skyrocketed to over $[redacted], with $[redacted] charged to my credit card. The technician failed to inform my wife that the repair costs exceeded the value of a new appliance by almost $[redacted]. Instead, he tried to push a home warranty to justify the high expenses. After contacting Sears, they canceled the unnecessary charges and appointments. I appreciate the refund, but feel Sears should improve their transparency and not take advantage of customers. I believe I was overcharged for a refrigerator service call due to a water leak at the dispenser. The technician quoted me $[redacted].00 for the repair without inspecting the issue beyond his computer, in addition to an $89.00 diagnostic fee. Even if I declined the repair, the $89.00 fee still applied. Despite questioning the high cost, the technician proceeded to address the problem by cleaning the water tube with a screwdriver and paper towels, noting it wasn't a leak but a spray caused by a partially clogged tube. He suggested using vinegar monthly to prevent future issues. Following a brief visit of less than 35 minutes, with no parts replaced or dispenser area cleaned, I was presented with a bill totaling $[redacted].55 for diagnostics, labor, and tax. I have attempted to reach out to Sears through various means without a response. Any assistance would be appreciated.

My home AC stopped working, so I searched online at Sears Outlet for a new one within my budget. I placed an order and was ready to pick it up, but then received an email stating they would confirm on Monday morning. Later, I was informed the item was sold to someone else. The funds had already been withdrawn from my account. After contacting Customer Service, I was assured a refund within 7 days, but it has not been received even after multiple attempts to follow up. I also encountered a mix-up where they referred to me by my wife's name. Despite sending numerous emails, I have not had anyone address this issue. It has been 30 days now, and I am still waiting for my refund that was charged before the item was available.

I hold a Sears home warranty with contract number [redacted]1. My air conditioning stopped working on 6/3, and the earliest service appointment available was on 6/7, where I was informed that I needed a new unit covered by the warranty. I paid the uncovered portion of $1,[redacted]. Currently, I am still waiting for Sears Home Repair to finish the replacement. Living in Arizona, our house is at 90 degrees making it impossible to stay in. It has been 13 days with no A/C, and there is no confirmed appointment for the repair completion. Daily conversations with "Andre" reveal an internal issue with paperwork transfer between Sears Warranty and the Service department. If a confirmed appointment is not set by the end of the day, I will reach out to the registrar of contractors and the Arizona Attorney General.

I purchased a Frigidaire Gallery freezer in June [redacted] along with an extended warranty. Starting in May, the freezer has been causing trouble with constant alarm sounds and inconsistent temperatures. Today marked the fifth visit from a technician. Unfortunately, he informed me that the parts requested during the last visit were not complete. He asked for the missing parts and an additional part. I tried reaching out on different phone numbers, but the customer service representatives were unhelpful and disconnected my calls after long waits. I even contacted them via Facebook messenger and received a response stating that we need to wait for the part before the next service can be completed. Despite multiple attempts at repairs, they are hesitant to replace the freezer. We are seeking a replacement at this point, as we have given them several opportunities to fix the issue with no success.

I have been a loyal Sears customer for years, relying on them for all my appliance needs. Recently, due to a tornado hitting my area in Ohio, I lost my window air conditioning unit. At 62 years old, navigating websites isn't my favorite task, and this experience has only heightened my aversion to online shopping. I urgently require the air conditioner, as I am sweltering in my small apartment post-tornado. I lack the funds to purchase outright, hence the need for leasing. I recently bought a washer and dryer. Three service technicians have tried to level the washer, but only one spoke English, making it hard to communicate. None of the technicians seemed knowledgeable about how to operate them. I decided to return the appliances, but when I spoke to someone about it 1 1/2 to 2 weeks ago, I was offered a $[redacted] discount to keep them. Unfortunately, the discount is not reflected on my bill, and I can't find anyone who can assist me with this issue. Customer service was unhelpful after being on the phone for 50 minutes. I tried requesting a callback on the website but received no response. I recently applied for a lease with Tempoe's WhyNotLease and was approved for $[redacted] to buy an air conditioner. My family has always relied on Sears for appliances. Last August, I bought a lawn tractor battery from Sears in Silver Spring. Unfortunately, it no longer holds a charge. After speaking with a representative over the phone, I learned that Sears should be able to verify the purchase date without a receipt using the battery information. When I visited the store yesterday, they confirmed the battery was defective but insisted on a receipt for a replacement. As a longstanding Sears customer, I'm disappointed by this policy. I can't locate my receipt, and Sears has no record of the purchase either. My wife was with me when we bought the battery, using a gift card and cash.
