My ** year old father purchased a Kenmore dehumidifier model number ***.***** ** pt May **, **** from Sears the unit is only in use during the summer months in PA, the unit is supposed to be a deicer built in, the unit has gotten ice on the coils twice in ** days, I tried to call the customer service and the operator as well as her supervisor refused to help, told me there was NOTHING to be done and hung up. This dehumidifier is defective, he checked the air filter it is clean, there is no blockage anywhere, the room temp is **-***. I have spent over two hours of my day today trying to get assistance on this matter with no help at all. I live in Florida my father is in PA, I handle all of his affairs and cannot get up there to him until the end of June. My father went to the store he purchased it at yesterday and they are in the process of closing down. The manager there told him they did not have any dehumidifiers left in stock to replace it out with or they would have.
