I had AAA drop my car at the sears tire station in Orange today because they could not change the tire themselves around *pm. When I arrived Alfredo warned me that the wait was very long due to so many cars being serviced. I would not be seen until after *pm closing. I being stuck with no tire said ok. I can't drive anywhere else. The last customer before me left around *pm if not before *pm. I sat there for another hour. I got up to ask one of the techs how long before my tire was replaced. He went to see who was working on it. No one was of course. Alfredo finally went to back to check and came back to tell me it would be another ** mins. Jerry Chang came back ** mins later to tell me it was done. I asked why it took so long? He apologized and said my car got lost in paperwork. I questioned Alfredo how that happened? That's when he said I told you your car couldn't get serviced until after *pm in a very condescending tone. I replied correct but not until I went to someone else to inquire about my car did the tire finally get changed. His response was I don't know I told them when you arrived. Not once did he offer an apology. Not once did he look sorry. His tone and demeanor was more annoyed about the situation. I asked for his last name. He said it was C.. Alfredo C. I asked for Jerry's last name. The customer service I was receiving from Alfredo was unacceptable. He tried to tell me I needed to sign for the charge before he could get me a last name. At that point he was beyond difficult. I got a last name I signed and as I was walking away he wished me a good night with a smirk on his face. **The is so many options where I can go and do my shopping. I expected more from Sears. I grew up with my parents always taking me to sears for all appliances, tires, clothes. I to this day do all my major purchases with Sears. But after this encounter I have left with no desire to purchase anything ever again. I'm sure I'm not the only one that feels this way. I'm sure that's why you've lost a lot of customers and why you continue to loose them. A retail business is nothing without people that go above and beyond for others. Customer service is essential. Making customers feel valued is what keeps people customers coming back. Today Alfredo failed to do so.
